Coming from a Floridian, I can confirm that some cities and towns are safer than others. The unfortunate part of being here, whether as a resident or a tourist, it's not all cracked up to be what people say. It used to be a nice place, but a lot of people have started to move here over the years, causing other states to become safer and cheaper. I'm glad that nothing happened to you and your wife, PK!
