I think the collaboration should have gone a little further than it has. A melody alarm and "chomping" beeps would have been great.

Sonds would have been so neat. The game over/lose a life sound obviously would have been resetting the stopwatch. :) Alarm sound, attract mode, pressing equal on the calculator could have been the insert coin sound... So much they could have done with sound alone and made it fantastic.

Pass. I think this was a blunder. Such a missed opportunity, how hard was it to put some Pac-Man animation on the LCD screen? Maybe the Pac-Man music for the alarm, it would have cost them $0 to do that. What's even more frustrating there's very little Pac-Man references on the actual dial. I think they shouldn't have put it on the calculator watch they should have had a larger screen and a tiny little joystick you can move around to have a mini game if you wished to play. Just the name "Pac-Man" on top and a tiny little Pac-Man on the bottom gobbling up pills, not enough. It reminds me of a promotional watch you get for free at a trade show. I do like the yellow colour though.

I would have loved a tiny color display and the ability to play the game. We had these little handheld games in the 90s and 2000s, so the tech is completely possible. Overall, that's my issue with Casio ( and Timex ) as well. They used to be actual edgy and trying new things ( like that watch with a MP3 player in it, remote control watch, the tennis watch... ), but now.. it's all retro stuff for middle-aged people.

I can’t imagine you’re going to take it apart, but when I was at school and the first lcd calculators came out, there was a ‘trend’ to dismantle them and turn the polarised display filter over to invert the display… could be an option…?

That negative display is shocking , a brought a neg display calculator watch last year from Amazon . I only had it out the box for a minute before it went straight back in it as I couldn’t read the screen .

I got my first CA53w because of this fab Chanel an your passion. It’s put my other watches on the back burner. I’d love to know how to get the original CA53 as I think mine is a newer logo or something . The PAC man version looks great, cool collab. Keep up the work 🎉 👍

The negative display is an absolute NO GO. I would try to insert the positive one from the normal CA53.

Personally, I think that the Dragon ball collaboration with Casio is the best ;-). Keeping with the video game theme, the Street Fighter collaboration with Seiko is also brilliant as well. Citizen collaboration with Marvel is amazing, too. As in, the Amazing spider-man limited edition watch!

I had to get a CA53W Pac Man for my Pac Man watch collection, but do not like the negative display. It is even dimmer than the one on my A100 Pac Man! I think the F91W is the best of this round of Casio Pac Man watches.

Yellow is an underserved color in the watch world. So that will get attention, personally it doesn’t speak to me but it’s a cool idea. Little pricey for color though. We. Considering it has a stopwatch and calculator, you could fit a dozen sounds in there. Activating calculator and hitting C to clear it should absolutely have triggered the insert coin sound. Alarm should be it chomping - and then the dying sound when you stop it. And so on. They could have had SO much fun with the sounds.
