The weird thing of stacking raid farm is they can produce secondary or higher wave at each raid. The reason why I feel weird: 1, The player is outside of the range of target village. 2, Raiders are not tied to any village because they can produce bad omen. (raid should be failed if they lose their village) 3, Raiders are already existing where secondary wave wants to happen. (unlike iron farm) So, I think stacking raid farm should produce only first waves or 1 raid at time. And I personally like normal raid farm. I hope you guys understand my clumsy English.
@IzsKon Жыл бұрын
9:20 I kinda disagree with that part. I'd rather run a stacking raid farm at midnight for a few hours, and never use the farm ever again, than have people running separate slower farms all the time on the server.

Well outlined without directly attacking others' stances, Stromne, as usual. The regular Raid grinder you outlined to get Hero of the Village can also save you making a clay farm for renewable terracotta since Masons throw it to the Hero. Speaking of clay, if one does want that farm in addition to glass trading with Villagers, bottles from the Witch Farm can be used on mass for making mud to get clay. With Hero of the Village, Clerics will also trade those bottles at nice low prices for even more emeralds. One forgotten feature of sugar from the Witch Farm is it can be used very rapidly grow Horses and Mules to adult stages so those looking to make speedy speedy mcspeedy super horses or mules will save themselves a lot of headache on waiting time. I understand these are niche advantages but they are advantages nonetheless for some to remember.

If you're okay with bedrock removal, doing so to blocks directly under the bounding box of the witch hut and then removing as many of the other blocks as possible under it without blocks at a very distances above the bounding box will greatly increase the rates. I'm a noob, but I hear many arguing that trading halls are OP too and in a sense, part of the value of raid farms is connected to trading halls, isn't it? I don't want to do whataboutism, but I can see that those two types of farms are very efficient. Personally, I think the game should reward players who treat villagers "nicely" and punish those who "imprison" them in 1x1 cells (e.g. villagers increasing prices). As for raid farm, I don't know how could they be "nerfed" other than maybe removing the "stacking" part mechanic entirely. And as you said, there is a big degree of subjectivity on these matters, so the first issue is always "if" they should be nerfed.
@Chris_Cross Жыл бұрын
Punishing players for making trading halls is one of the worst suggestions I've ever heard
@lukebeich Жыл бұрын
@@Chris_Cross I didn't suggest to spank players on the butt XD... I just said that villager trading is also very op and that's not my opinion, others feel that too. But while I heard people suggesting to change what you can trade or base prices, I thought that making villagers upset if they cannot move and increasing the prices that way could be another approach. You can still do it, but you shouldn't be able to enjoy everything perpetually discounted. Maybe that way people will start to make trading "villages" instead of trading halls.

Yea I kinda agree, I held off on building for a good while on the server but I have designed one for above a ocean monument. Kinda think raid mechanics need to be revisted anyways, the raid farms are insane and I don't think it's uncommon to have a degree of dislike of them amongst people who build strong farms, meanwhile having patrols show up so you unthinkingly kill them and start a raid on accident is annoying. Makes some sense but also like, it's not the most enjoyable experience imo. Nerfing raid farms, buffing witch huts, Villager reform to make mass trading easier (ik void trading, I'm also making one of them, but I didn't for so long because I'm not the biggest fan). I really wish more stuff was renewable outside of just villager trading too, really not a fan of it and crafting being the main paths for renewability, just infinitely less interesting than farming. (Villager to witch conversion is definitely an interesting concept, I hope ilmango can find enough in there for it to be considered if they change how weather works, which imo they should anyway, it's much easier to skip e.g. a thunderstorm than it is to get it, and so many interesting farms could come from reliable lightning access)

I personally disagree. Or atleast, I personally feel differently. At this point in the game, most of the farms I am building are stuff I am building because it seems cool, or because it looks fun, more often than not i am not making a farm because I actually need the resources. Definitely not because I need the quantity of resources that the farm will give me. Having a stacking raid farm lets me choose more farms to make for fun, rather than out of necessity. And there is still absolutely nothing stopping me from making a farm for one of the resources I am getting from the raid farm, if I want to make it.

Except you're not interested in raid farms because they're OP, you're not interested because they really aren't that useful. Who builds anything with emeralds other than beacons....because they have too many emeralds... and you don't even need a raid farm to have too many emeralds.

Current version of witch farm is far too slow. Void trade isn't convinient to do in multiplayer especially anarchy server. Voidless trade is also pretty slow. @bennettlewis5495 Жыл бұрын
If stacking raid farms are too OP because they give you more emeralds and totems than you can use, doesn't that mean that EVERY good farm is OP, because any good farm gives you way too much of whatever items they are designed to generate? And to get ANY benefit beyond a handful of totems from a stacking raid farm, you have to create, organize, and manage a massive villager trading hall. Isn't the villager trading hall the REAL OP "farm?" Doesn't a well designed villager trading hall make most farms OP when you sell the stuff to villagers for emeralds? Even a string farm or iron farm? I don't even bother with curing villagers anymore because I still end up with too many emeralds from a decent iron or string farm, or even just a carrot or potato farm. If anything, it's the villager trading hall that's OP, not the stacking raid farm. A stacking raid farm is a mediocre farm if you don't have a villager trading hall.
