Three words that will resonate with all parents: Children change everything. Life happens while you're making plans, and children come first always. Time with your children is never wasted, and everything else is secondary after your family, including your viewers. Keep being a good father and husband and son, and everything else will come as it should. Keep up the good work and good life.

You should not apologise family comes first I joined the army at 16 did 32yrs I had a son when I was 24 ide just come back from Bosnia then got sent down to South America for 6 months after that I was home six months then I was sent all over the middle East for the next 20 yrs I missed him growing up which is my biggest regret I just wish I would have thought like you did we have a great relationships now it's just you can never get your time back I was there for 2 of his first 10 Christmases so as someone who's gone through it spend every second you can while they are small ,it's sounds to me that. You've got your priorities right and are doing a great job plus I think the contents great

I became a dad with our 1st in 2019 and it changes everything. Absolutely everything. For people with a standard 9-5 job, it's tiring, but doable. People have been doing it for a long time. There are systems in place for people with normal work hours, but youtube is an animal that always needs feeding. It really is a double-edged sword that has provided you with success and the freedom to create what you want and enjoy, but also has given birth to this animal with an insatiable hunger. I'm 32 and a dad with a wife and a mortgage. I, as well as the majority of your audience, understand and realistically think you don't have to apologize for having a life outside of youtube. Enjoy your family, enjoy the content you make, and enjoy life. Thanks again to you and your dad.

When you are ready, bring your family in as well. You did it once with the small house you and your dad made for her. You're a nice guy to watch and listen to. Great you've shared.. When you become a parent everything changes, if you care! Sacrifices are made, if you care! Sometimes we have to give up things we want to do for the benifit of the family team! Such a humble approach which personally I think speaks volumes about you as a person and your family. Our life changes at each stage and it often un-nerves me, so keep at it, get ready to improvise, overcome and adapt! All those years of wild camping will prove a useful skill set in coming years 😉 Keep well bud & love to Fam 👍

I'm not personally a fan of the van camping, I prefer the outdoors and the wildlife, but I don't expect you to change plans for me. I enjoy YOU. I really appreciate you and the content you create for your audience. A healthy work/family balance is necessary for all of us and I’m happy you realized it before you just burned out and disappeared from KZbin. It’s so weird how we feel we ‘know’ the people we follow when we actually don’t-and it really is none of our business about your life outside of the virtual world. But I do appreciate the update-and will follow almost no matter the content, because I have enjoyed you, your personality, your Dad, your dog, your woodland-and especially your interview with Nick. What i admire about your videos is you dont do click bait stupid "i lived on one banana in a hole in the ground for a month." What you say is what we see . I watch the videos of you and dad when i feel down because the love and respect you show for each other makes me smile. BRAVO! You did the right thing. You don't need me to tell you that, just validating it. Family comes first. So glad you moved back. I've enjoyed you since the first Bushcraft Camp and I guess I'm a "super loyal fan". I do watch, because 1) you keep things clean 2) you do fun, outside, wholesome things always with a "teaching" kind of touch. 3) your Dad comes along which increases the enjoyment! Far as I'm concerned, when you do what you're interested in, I'm 99% of the time interested too. That's why we follow. Love to your beautiful wife and your daughter and son and of course to your Dad and through him, to your Mom. Thanks for making this video, Mike.

As a subscriber of less than a year, I'd like to mention that I like your new content! I subscribed just at the time you bought the woodland, and I've loved this series. Camping is great, but now that niche is no longer a niche and there are so many videos out there. But I haven't seen anyone else doing the woodland management like you are. Please don't apologize for being who you are and for evolving. I like watching because of you, and to be honest, (just for myself, I don't know about others) but I'm not interested in watching how to build another fort-type dwelling. I can go back and watch your old ones if I want to.

As a dad of 4 of my own and a foster parent as well, never apologize for prioritizing your kids or family. Me and my 4 boys love watching all your videos and you've made a trove of content that is not only informative but as a dad I appreciate, kid friendly as well. Watching your videos have inspired my kids to go play more in our woods and engineer with things they find in the woods. From someone that did KZbin stuff for a little while for my farm and the low quality I could manage to make, the effort that you put into content is extremely high and time consuming, and finding that extra time as a parent is hard. As many wise folks have said to me throughout my life you have to prioritize things according to importance: God first, Family Second, Career third... everything else as needed. Excited you have the opportunities because of making these videos and that your work is paying off. Thanks for all your hard work and knowledge sharing and I wish the best to you and your family.
