Thank you for sharing your experience with such sudden loss. Grief is complex and the healing process is not linear. It’s good that you’re taking time to re-group, especially given you lost someone you lived with. I can understand why you moved out. Hard to believe that you also lost both grandfathers in such short succession. Sending you love while you move forward in your own time, we look forward to you bringing us humorous content once you’re able to get back in touch with creativity and joy. I have family in Ukraine too, was born there myself and I speak Russian, not Ukrainian, so I know how tricky it is to navigate it. I also used to call myself/my family Russian/Ukrainian interchangeably. Now it’s hard to know if that’s right anymore.

Sorry for your loss. I've lost a bunch of people along the way, family and friends, old and young. Its always sad, you miss them for sure. However I never understood letting your life come apart because of a death close to you. Death is a part of life, you don't have to stop living just because someone else died. If anything it should be the motivation to live life more fully, cause you never know when it'll be over.

Garik, I came to your channel on purpose bcs I realized I haven't seen anything from you for a long time. To be honest, the Ukrainians have not been in a funny mood in the past 7 months, to put it mildly. I'm so proud and grateful to know your stance on this. I've seen many bloggers stop posting as a solidarity gesture with Ukraine and what's going on right now. I will stay your forever faithful subscriber until it all ends hopefully and you feel you are ready to be back. Правда переможе, життя переможе ❤

I'm so sorry, I was just catching sight of Ari and wondering how you were. I lost my daughter at one month's of age, then my parents, and on and on. It was 3 years after my daughter's death that I was finally able to dance in a club. People would write to me who lost much older children or much younger parents would say "I promise you it will get better". Or "it's like a burning frying pan scorching your hands, but I promise you that you will find a place to put that burning frying pan down one day." Or "Life is all an illusion. But the greatest illusion is the loss of a child." Etc. And the reality is, you will have to find your own path in grief and you can't shirk it or it will get worse. It may take you longer or shorter -- don't compare. You may have to set all your funny characters down, too, like that frying pan and do something very different. Or maybe suddenly they'll fly again as if they'd never missed a day. Try to pray. Try to talk only to people who nurture you and not like Russians who say Съешь облепиха, лапочка, и все будет файн. Да ты не ела моё варенье, дурочка что это такое. I believe in you. One foot in front of the other!

@@l.m.3699 you might want to watch the video again. As well as look up your facts before you assume you are right. I am friends with Garik personally and yes he is Jewish but he is a Ukrainian by birth and he is from Kharkiv who lives in America. He speaks Russian that doesn’t make him Russian. Thank you for supporting my Ukrainian Jewish friend!

@@khavas6688 it is complicated. Nationality, ethnicity, faith, language. I am, for instance, Russian by language, Ukrainian also by language and birth ( though back then it was Soviet union Ukraine) Jewish by faith American by citizenship. In Soviet Russia, LOL, keeping the faith, any faith, was, basically, banned. So people's roots were called nationality and were made article 5 in our internal passports. Being Jewish, btw, was almost a close door to almost everything including prestige universities. But we made it.
