@Friedrich Wunderlich my Chinese work colleges said Chinese people mostly support Donald Trump during the 2016 election. He s good for America future and American people. The cards on the table were they anticipate Donald Trump is a transactional dude and a dummy so China will roll our red carpet and can sell any deal to Donald with conditions America agrees to sell out South China Sea( now it is renamed Indo Sea) and free access to American technologies in return they would buy more stuffs from America so keep American jobs and keep Donald in power for another 4 years. That was too easy! Lucky for us, dummy Donald in one smartest move ever he said hang on how about i put the tarrifs on your goods until you buy more American stuffs and balance the imbalance trade deficit! I say Chinese people are very smart but I am not stupid either. Amen! In the mean time my Chinese college thinks Donald Trump is a thug and Joe Biden is good for America in 2020. I look forward to watching all your other videos and appreciate a fresh new voice about China from an American :) I was born and raised in NYC but my parents immigrated to the US from Hong Kong. I consider myself Chinese American because even though my parents were in Hong Kong, they originally were from China. I had the opportunity to learn Chinese while in college and still use Chinese to communicate with friends and family. That’s very true. I think our mainstream media also does a good job trying to remind us of the prosperity of China in the past decades and uniting us. The relatively new movie”Me and my hometown” is a very good example. After living our modern life for some years we tend to forget how our old days were, and the movie illustrates the differences with 5 different funny yet heart touching stories, which makes people realize how much better our life is compared to 20 years ago. As I was walking out the movie theater, I heard a mom telling her about 10 year old son”did you see how much China has grown in the past years? By the time you are a grown up I’m sure it’ll be many times better. So don’t think about moving abroad makes your life better. Living in China can be just as nice”.

@Muhammad Ariq Muafan ...China and India are the two emerging economies in the world. As of 2019, China and India is 2nd and 5th largest country of the world, respectively in nominal basis. On PPP basis, China is at 1st and India is at 3rd place. Both countries together share 19.46% and 27.18% of total global wealth in nominal and PPP terms, respectively. Among Asian countries, China and India together contribute more than half of Asia's GDP. In 1987, GDP (Nominal) of both countries was almost equal. But in 2019, China's gdp is 4.78 times greater than India. On ppp basis, GDP of China is 2.38x of India. China crossed $1 trillion mark in 1998 while India crossed 9 year later in 2007 at exchange rate basis.

China has a much warmer climate. Also lots more freedom in Canada. In China we would have to pass check points and they would scan all the passengers, plus the cameras with facial identification everywhere. they keep track of everyone like sheep. @@bradlys4978 I came to Canada for school 20 years ago. I agree at that time Canada was way better, less pollution, many natural places to go, but cities never changed and because it is more relaxing here, no restaurants open at late night, banks doesn't work on weekends, packages don't arrive until 2 weeks later, things are less convenient. On the other hand, I was so surprised how China was developing in the past 20 years. The cities have grown rapidly, many high technology applied in everyday's life and economy raised significantly. Also environment has been improved too. You must be a successful business man, you can meet Jackie Ma, wow! I don't know when did you go to China, the city I lived and often visited were very clean, blue sky as well. You can go camping in certain places too, but of course people can't camping in everywhere in the city like the homeless are doing in Canada. China has a large population, it is totally different life style, I don't mind to be faced scanned for faster access to some places. There are soooo many people, nobody really cares where you go, I actually don't know why foreigners would consider it as being offended. However I don't like China has less freedom of speech, yes, everyone is under watching. No google or KZbin to see the real world outside, but considering the huge population, that's how China keep the cities safe and no gun fighting as the US. I stay in Canada because I graduated and found a job here, it opens more opportunities for me to be able to stay in both places. I would consider it was more beneficial for me back in 10 years ago, but after living in China for a whole year two years ago, I feel the lifestyle in China is also great. Having a job is more stressful and less paid in China, so for now I would just stay in Canada as I already used to it and has build my own family here. I do still visit my parents every year before, so bad because of Covid I can't go. China is controlling the situation very well. Cyrus, good for you! You have such a great oppertunity in Vancouver. You could carry on with your great work outside China. You should visit your old parents more during their twilight time.
I used to live in China and I'm going back soon because I absolutely loved it. I love your channel Cyrus and I'm pleased to hear your sentiments about how your move to Canada is like an extension of your China journey. I have had to block various popular KZbin channels that had these "why I left China" videos and were basically just slandering the CCP. Of course they encountered trouble, they made a living from posting borderline anti-china content and kept pushing the envelope. Your videos are devoid of this sensationalism and just present the facts. Keep up the great work.

"America needs to focus inwardly and focus on improving themselves" This is 100% true. People always argue and point fingers as to what happened to America when the truth is that it was never any outside force. If there's going to be a better future for America, it's up to the people to focus inwardly and make better choices for themselves and one another.

Not right! Take those words and talk to Koreans. Chinese and Vietnamese do not welcome this dish. Only people in the North of Vietnam eat this kind of dish, but today they are also subject to many criticisms and so they minimize it. Don't defame/insult us if you don't understand much about Vietnam or China. We live a much happier and safer life than you guys. Yes, we do! Asia is the better continent to live in today - actually much more meaningful than the rest of the world right now.
@Kevin_1023 жыл бұрын
Alright, no more words to you. By listening to Western propaganda, you can never understand how things work here. The Communist is not a problem here. Actually we don't care much, as life is so much more interesting than it is about politics. That's why we live happier lives... than you do! Switzerland? Yes, it is on the list of best places to live in the world, then what? Are people there really happy, especially when they are old. Whether they live close to their family and relatives, or will they be left alone in old age and have to live far away from their children? Do people there have close relationships between people and have a passionate life with others like people in our country? Come on, I don't think so! Switzerland is the best country to live, for many people, yet it's one of the loneliest countries on the planet, too. :)
