I seriously love and respect that you wanted more than just being an actor! So cool how you wanted to be part of the WHOLE filming process, and it shows in your amazing films!

Thank you! Yeah it’s in my blood to make movies and content. It hasn’t been easy but it’s been rewarding.

I am thankful we got out of Hollywood/California and took it upon ourselves to make our own content. As an actor in LA going to so many auditions and taking on thankless roles for years before you get a “break” is not sustainable. I am so thankful to go on this adventure with you ❤

Im grateful for you going on this journey with the me. And really this is the modern way. The days of having to go through Hollywood to make movies had been dying for a while. It’s an exciting time to be making art.

@@ScottyDunn I've seen u on Disney and used to want to be manufactured via Disney now I don't know
@ScottyDunn16 күн бұрын
@@dionneking8 Yeah I understand how you feel. It seems like it will be amazing from the outside. I'm not saying it's not fun but it's, in my humble opinion, not all it's cracked up to be. Especially when we can create our own content in unique and often times better ways.

You definitely made the right move Scott. Creating content is definitely more rewarding. Either good or bad. I love creating something that was in my head and doesn't exist. To make your dreams a reality is the real joy. Keep up the great work Scott.

Thank you. I really love that everyone has the ability to make content how they see fit and post it without all the endless hoops that Hollywood puts forth. I’m proud of you for doing what you love and are passionate about. It’s seriously wonderful to see. Keep going

Walt Disney used to have the idea of making money to make more movies. Nowadays it seems his company is just focused on making money. I don't blame you for taking the indie route to make your own movies, it's definitely more rewarding.

So true. And it’s sad because he represented a true artist in many ways. We got better movies because of it. I won’t demonize all of Hollywood but it seems like they successfully got rid of all the idea ppl and replaced them with corporate doofuses… still some good movies out there from time to time but not as consistently or as often. As a movie lover this is sad. But yeah, making your own creations is so rewarding and something that’s made my life more meaningful.

Regarding selfie sticks, I think it's a different world now. I used to think "Ew, that person is vain" and now I'm like, "Hey, good for them for making their dreams and career happen!"

Agreed. A selfie stick at a funeral would be a different story lol.

Freaking A! Freaking A! You nailed it with this video. Agree with everything you said about the disconnect with Hollywood. Also, I loved Schelp!

It’s getting comical how bad it’s gotten. Never thought it would go downhill as fast as it has. And thank you! Guess I was feeling nostalgic about Schlep lately 😁

Great video as always Scotty. I love the down to earth content you always create. I never bothered trying to get into Hollywood cause I just wanted to make my own stuff as well. And I’m glad I did. Through all it’s ups and downs I really enjoy the movies the team and I create once we’re done. It’s way more fulfilling than doing corporate work in my opinion. 🙂

I think someone can make a studio away from the toxic Hollywood work astetic. The whole idea of Hollywood was pretty much all these people who were connected and had all these resources and personal connections that no normal average joe can get. Now with internet and indie films rising, it pretty much devalues the status the Hollywood put itself over. I want to show you can make a studio that pulls away from that industry.
@ScottyDunn16 күн бұрын
I know that there are movie studios being built in Nevada, Texas, Atlanta, I think Florida. Which is great. And yes, the power has shifted SO much from Hollywood which I think is a big blessing because the magic has been draining from there for a while now. Indie creators are waking up to this and putting WAY more passion and creativity into their own projects. Wonder what it will look like in just 5 years.

You were wise do as you did. Hollywood is a business; businesses want to make money and make a profit to succeed, and it wants to do this on its own terms. Actors are fodder to Hollywood, this isn't good or bad, it's just how it works.
@ScottyDunn19 күн бұрын
Yep. Not against making money or even treating something like a business. But when it gets in the way of creativity and passion with the end product… ppl start to notice. I’m thankful for KZbin because it’s brought creators back into a place of power and freedom in many ways.
