I love your videos sm. Thanks for the effort you put into editing your videos and keeping it clear. I want to be an industrial pharmacist, really anything that lets me work for a company like GSK. Would you say it’d be a better idea to go straight to industry from pharmacy, or should I study something else? I was planning to pharmacology but apparently pharmacy is better.
@KOREginAPharmacist Жыл бұрын
Thank you! For industry I think the preferred degree would depend on what role you’re going for. The benefit of MPharm is that you get a license at the end of it and more patient interaction but pharmacology I think is also not a bad option!

So crazy that I sighted this while watching….I have started a series called “ethical dilemmas” on my channel where I go into difficult situations pharmacists get into. Especially “making mistakes” This is honestly one of the worst fears for most pharmacists. Its crazy but mistakes are not completely avoidable. There are some ways to get past this anxiety.

unfortunately I have to do things which I don't like independent prescribing course .I know that in this country there is a low level of prescribing which is still going down .I 'm good at botanic ,prevention ,holistic treatment .I don't want to be in situation when they will judge me and paid 3 times lees than doctor and I have more responsibility than doctor because he dosen't care if the drug was dispensed correctly or not .You don't know how bad is in community pharmacy busy pharmacy becoming quiet ,and quiet busy .Now there are more prescribers than executor of the prescription and dispensing drugs is more and more complicated

I'm currently studying pharmacy at uni, in the future i wanted to be a clinical pharmacist or be a advanced clinical practitioner. I wanted to ask in your opinion what is a more clinical role and more patient focused. Also, are there more pharmacist or ACP in hospital ? Thanks for the content.
@KOREginAPharmacist Жыл бұрын
Tbh I can’t comment on this as I don’t know enough about ACPs but I can say that clinical pharmacists are really patient focused.
@dstar4755 Жыл бұрын
I would say acp is more clinical and patient focused as they are like doctors, diagnosing and treating patients. In my area most of the acps in hospitals are nurses and I only know a few pharmacist acps in primary care. To get a job as an acp you will already need clinical experience such as hospital or primary care which both require 2 yrs training at entry level. Acp course is an extra 3 years after that. I find that pharmacist acp jobs are rare and hard to find.

Does studying just mean reading guidelines or should I make summaries? Sometimes, I’m afraid that I’d forget what I read😢
@KOREginAPharmacist Жыл бұрын
I think it depends on your rotation! Do you know what rotation you're going into? Nice guidelines and trust guidelines are a great place to start, but no matter how much you study, you won't feel like it's going in until you actually have to apply them!
@KOREginAPharmacist Жыл бұрын
@@SA-lf9ii I think whatever is easy for you after a long hard day! When it comes to screening, you'll have to apply the knowledge anyway so I would just do an easy breezy guideline read to familiarise yourself and not burn out!
