Hopefully many people can open a dialog like this here in South Africa. I think their practice is extremely harmful, however everyone has the right to practice whatever religion they want. It's very witness fantasy that the world would turn against them and that brings them closer to Jesus's coming. That defeats the whole point of even trying to reason with them. But just like how they proudly go around recruiting people, it's also as important for people to understand other aspects of this religion

Wow, thank you for watching Layman. Im 2014, when I was hurt by the elder in another congregation, telling me that I was running away from my problems, I turned on the internet. Google took me to KZbin. That was when I first got to meet many exjws, non of them were from South Africa. I could immediately relate. It helped me to slowly pull away. It took me two years to get over the guilt.

Yes I forgot to mention that aspect. We were encouraged to be pioneers or bethel after basic education. We were told how much we must simplify our lives. Not yo buy gadgets and nice material things. Today they poach engineers and use them for high tech stuff on their bethel offices. They use gadgets to hold meetings. 🫴

Hello my cc. Yes it is true this is a lesson to many parents. In my defense, I did take the child to the hospital same day I was failed by the doctor who did not find any penetration and downplayed the thick discharge he found on the child that day. Again, at that time to me sexual molestation was equal to penetration. I did not know what I know now. Hence I am determined to keep talking because there is someone who is as ignorant as I was then, who can benefit on hearing it today. I have another video where I elaborated sequential order of events and I also wrote a book Denial of a Married Woman which is listed on Amazon. One thing that scares me, in conjunction to how they intentionally mishandle cases of sexual assault, is the blood rule thing, especially when it comes kids. Like you said parents are the one who chose this religion, why on earth would they deny a child blood for a chance to live longer. Every time I ask they alway brush it off like " it never happened to you and there are better treatments out there". I'm sorry but the delusion gets to me, the governing body (all men in America) who come up with all of this are intentionally ruining people's lives and they don't care. This kind of indoctrination is beyond me, I can't tell you how much I argue with my parents even if they know what I'm saying makes sense. I am not a member or any church.I have a lot of question and I seek answer I enjoy attending church and prefer teaching of the Bible,if the pastor is not explaining the bible I am not listening. The bible has been translated so many time scriptures has been rewritten to mislead and confuse,books have been taken out of the bible. No one living in this world know the real truth .your heart is what should guide you. I have had things happen in my life that I don't understand, I am in my sixties, I have never been sick in my life not even a cold or the flu. I didn't take the Covid shot and I work the whole time. When I had my daughter the doctor didn't believe me when I show up at the hospital and told them my water had broke. They put me in a room with a lady that was screaming like someone was killing her. Several doctors can in and one said she can wait move her in the hall she not ready, a few minutes later they came to move me. halfway out the door I said I have to use the restroom and my daughter pop out,I had my hand slammed in a car door when I was 5 the bone had broken through the skin, I never said a word not even when they popped that bone back in place. I can't explain it, I can go on for hours, I look like am 29 30 I am always told. I was a unwanted baby, no mother no father no family and had to fight hard for myself I learned later in life. To be abused your whole life,and to have no friends and no husbands ,or family to turn to. I dislike this world and what man has done to it. But I love myself when noone else does. Again your faith in god not the church should guide you.keep god close and the church at a distance. In reference to your situation, I didn't go to the police, I became the police. The church would say it was the devil taken over , dismiss me from there church, but after it was done I didn't regret what I done,I asked god for forgiveness and I believe he did.

Another bias, when someone changes his/her mind you claim that they might have been a half-hearted JW. I was born and breed as a JW, left at the age of 12 or so. As an adult in my late 20s, I became a Jehovah’s Witness, never stole, cheat or do anything that would cause me to be reprimanded or disfellowshipped. I believed the teachings and was an exemplary to many in our Kingdomhall. I realized later that some teachings in the JW were not Biblical, eg we are told that we must not take blood,and some of the scriptures used on the blood policy are bracketed. (Genesis 9:4; Leviticus 17:10; Deuteronomy 12:23; Acts 15:28, 29). However, without producing any scriptures supporting the change the WT made on blood, it then states that it is up to an individual’s conscience if he/she takes the following Immunoglobulins- produced by plasma/white blood cells. Factor VIII (i.e. Biostate)- derived from donated human plasma, used to treat bleeding… Clotting Factors (i.e. PTX)- Proteins in your blood Albumin- Protein in your blood plasma Cryoprecipitate- Is the part of plasma that contains a number of clotting protein Haemodilution- Is the practice of removing red blood cells to lower hematocrit Intraoperative Cell Salvage- Is the method of harvesting red cells shed during surgery Here you can easily see that something is wrong eg Albumin and Cryoprecipitate are intergral part of the blood because plasma is a component of the blood that we are told not take for health reasons, but the same people tell you that if these two are taken out the blood that you are not suppose to have, it is up to your conscience whether you take it or not; you will not be disfellowshipped or reprimanded. Which scriptures states that do not take blood, but you can take part of the blood to use in case you need blood? This teaching of taking part of the blood if you like is new, many Witnesses, including my two relatives died because it was not yet introduced. Another thing that is wrong with this teaching is that me and you we are not allowed to donate blood, but we are given a permission to choose whether to take part of the blood donated by “worldly” people. Jehovah’s Witness once believed that organ transplant was cannibalism and as such they were not allowed to have organ transplant, that was as early as 1972, and this too was not backed up by scriptures. Again, some witnesses died because they refused a life saving procedure, that the JW later will allow it to be a matter of conscience.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses have pronounced dates of the end of the world despite the fact that the Bible states that “no one knows the day or the hour…( Matthew 24:36/Mark 13:32) The Jehovah’s Witnesses were wrong eight times about the dates of the end of the world: 1877 - The Watch Tower Society believed that Jesus had been amongst us since 1874 working towards his kingdom on earth. The Watch Tower Society predicted that Christ’s kingdom on Earth would be complete in 1914, and the saints would be carried to Heaven. Essentially, the end of the world as we know it. Of course, 1914 rolled around and the closest we got to the end of the world was a world war. Perhaps the Society meant to say that the world would end for 18 million, but for the rest of us, it would be business as usual. We’d all go on living, man would keep ruling and Jesus would keep up his epic game of hide and seek. 2. 1916 - The Witnesses foretold that the first world war would lead to Armageddon and soon after, Christ’s kingdom would be established on Earth. Of course, I am sure many of the men who fought in WWI felt as though it was some form of Armageddon, but alas, it was not and mortal men continued to rule our planet after the war ended (albeit not so well). 3. 1920 - In the wake of their first world war prediction failing, the Watch Tower society jumped right back in the saddle with a brand new prediction. By 1925, the kingdom of God would be established on earth. God would begin restoring the earth. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and other faithful patriarchs would be resurrected to perfect human life and be made princes and rulers, the visible representatives of the New Order on earth. I assume many Abrahams, Isaacs and Jacobs were born in 1925, but none of them turned out to be God’s little buddies. Whether the Society was wrong or Abe, Isaac and Jacob lost their invites, the prediction failed, and I could have predicted that. 4. 1938 - The Witnesses stopped conceiving children and getting married because they were told Armageddon was looming. Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that premarital sex will jeopardize their friendship with God and that masturbation is a no-no, so I imagine there was a whole crowd of frustrated door-knockers back then. Either that or the Witnesses became one big sea of sin. 5. 1942 - The Watch Tower Society swore that Armageddon was just around the corner. Four years after the moratorium on marriages and babies - that’s four years of marital bliss (and god-approved shagging) some Witnesses missed out on. 6. 1961 - Armageddon was predicted to arrive before the year 2000. It must have been on the same flight as Y2K. 7. 1966 - The Witnesses predicted that the world would meet its “wicked end” and Christ’s kingdom on earth would be established by the year 1975. They believed that 1975 would be 6000 years of man ruling on earth and that the seventh millennium was for good ol’ Jeeboner to rule. Unless Jesus ruled with disco, this failed to come true. 8. 1984 - The Witnesses reiterated that the end of the world would come before the end of the 20th century. Although the world appeared to come crashing down around Bill Clinton, Gorbachev and P.W. Botha mere mortals have continued to rule down here on earth. The war in Iraq made the Witnesses think it was the sign of the end, so is Covid and the Ukranian war. But 1975 was so important to most of us then as the end of the world, the organisation told people not to invest in this world, they must pioneer. I was young at that time, however, my family was impacted after 1975, because my father left the Watchtower, this included many more JWs. My father was disfellowshipped at the end of 1976. It was in 1977 that my father divorced my mother and hard times began, as we were raised by my mom alone.

In all honesty I have interacted with the JVs, they lead an unrealistic life. Boring to be specific. Imagine not being allowed to celebrate you own birthday when Jesus was showered with gifts when he was born.
