As much as I love twoset, I resonate with the points you raised. I do understand that sometimes is hard when fandom grows and there will always be more immature fans. Hoping one day twoset will fully acknowledge their influence and decides to educate the fandom on some do's or don'ts. Since fandom is always the face of the creator. One thing I agree alot that everyone is different so we should be accepting others when they "butt hurt" or voice out differently, not bashing them. Try to see things in different perspectives. And also, thank you for your content. Wishing you all the best!

So sad you had this experience. People need to learn not to identify that much with the creators they love. Obsession is unhealthy. They also need to learn that you can be critical of someone yet still love them. If a comment is not expressing 100% fan excitement, it doesn't mean it's hate. I enjoyed your videos, good luck with your future endeavors!

I think that a true fan is able to take a step back and criticise the actions of the people they are supporting if something wrong had been done. Support *SHOULD NOT* be unconditional, and creators *SHOULD NOT* be idolised as perfect and incapable of doing wrong, as that only further enables them and is ultimately *harmful* to them in the long run. Those who send hate at the slightest hint of constructive criticism and unconditionally worship a public figure are no longer a fan; instead, they’ve crossed the line into blind and unhealthy devotion. Thus, I believe that your ability to identify what TwoSet did wrong and phrase it so respectfully whilst still showing support shows that you are a _true_ fan, and that you want to see them grow, to learn from their mistakes and be the best they can be. so thanks for speaking up! sincerely, a twoset fan.

I think they don't want other people to use their channel to advertise themselves. I'm sure they receive a lot of spam. I know that Davie helped some channels to become more popular, but for 2set, it seems they are hesitant to do the same thing. I think they have the right to not advertise other people if they don't want to (especially if they don't think these channels are good enough for that). Also there were some incidents with another KZbinr, Steve Terreberry, who mentioned some KZbin accounts and fans went and leave negative message there. So it's perhaps they think it's more safe to avoid all this. With all this I'm trying to say that there is no need to be that angry about all this stuff. They manage they stuff the way the do and there is pro and contra for every decision.
@minnie_55823 жыл бұрын
^^^ i agree with the statement above. theres always 2 sides of a story, and i honestly doubt that twoset would have anything to gain from removing the video out of sheer pettiness of not wanting to advertise smaller channels. perhaps some people feel like they *should clarify it for us, once and for all, but they're not obliged to at all, as op stated above perhaps they think that the better course of action is to simply take down the video to avoid other negative messages/spam altogether. but in the end we dont know for sure, as we really dont know what goes on in the twoset team. but us fans ourselves have nothing to gain from being so fixated on a certain viewpoint, as it only make us think negatively towards the content creators that we genuinely like, for something that's not confirmed. its quite similar to the blm movement that was brought up a few months ago in the fandom. i recall many fans sorta "rioting;" against twoset, because they feel the need to pressure twoset to speak up on these current issues. but as i mentioned above it was proven that there are 2 sides of a story, as twoset stated in their asian hate vid, they themselves are asians, so they feel like they are qualified to bring up the topic and share their experiences. perhaps they didnt elaborate on a video for blm because they didnt feel like they were qualified to speak up on it, as they were not involved on either of the "sides" of the movement"? so yea im just saying that theres so many things we dont know about twoset and the team, and us fans really shouldnt make quick assumptions and accuse them of doing something so derogatory, while its evident that they're not those kind of people from all their videos, and they seem to consistently show themselves as kind and compassionate people who just want to spread classical music to everyone :) with that being said though, i hope to see more videos from you in the future, and thank you for the entertaining content u created for this fandom during ur time here :] hope u continue to be well :]

Hi guys, thank you for leaving your perspectives 🙏 but I felt the need to give my point of view as a creator myself. When someone makes the decision to post content publicly, hate isn't unexpected. The exposure from a large creator is far more valuable than any hypothetical hate comments we might get along the way, as shown by how much Wolfie wanted it. If TwoSet were worried about their fans hating on people they could've made a disclaimer saying not to do that, which would also be useful for when they review people. I wasn't as frustrated at TwoSet refusing to give credit as much as I was mad at how they never bothered to talk to Wolfie explaining any reasons they had for not doing so and leaving him blindsided by their decision. As for the BLM incident, while I also agree that TwoSet should not be forced into doing things, the worst part of this was how they again completely ignored their fans asking them to do more (especially after they posted a message of support), which made some fans feel justified in harassing that group of fans who were mostly Black. That's why I said in my video that they should do what's best "for the fandom" - even if they say no to the fan requests, answering at least tells the fan base that issues like those are to be taken seriously. I've always disagreed with the "silence is safety" approach, especially if it has proven time and time again to cause harm. I didn't send this comment to start an argument, only to provide a different point of view. Thank you all for the respect and support ❤️
@labimartins98093 жыл бұрын
I kind of agree with this. Anytihing could be motivating them to not credit Wolfie's channel, but the fact that they decided to stay silent, and even delete that video, makes me think that they didn't credit Wolfie's channel simply because they didn't want to. I think that if they had good reasons, they would probably explain them, as it would also avoid criticism

@@JustAnotherLingLingWannabe ah i see,, i still stand by my point as i can see so many people in the fandom not just pressing for replies but also pressing relentlessly for twoset to do the things *they* think twoset should do, and as a casual fan thats not often involved in the fandom itself, i feel like twoset arent obliged to actually give a response to all the messages, because as content creators they probably receive way too many requests + suggestions from various fans, perhaps they dont see their actions as sth needed to be explained? for the blm movement itself, i feel like twoset might have seen themselves as outsiders, like i mentioned in my previous reply, so maybe they just didnt know how to further address the issue as well. they did mention similar stuff from blm in their asian hate video tho, so maybe they saw it as a substitute! i do really appreciate ur pov tho, it let me understand where ur coming from and why ur believe that twoset's silence is more detrimental than helping, so thats a different thing to think about! i do believe that it just matters on which stance we choose to take on the issue, neither are really right or wrong :D 🤍

I left a while ago too, and I agree with all your points. While it's good to see Twoset growing and changing, their content isn't really for me anymore, and the toxic (and often repetitive) nature of the fandom made it lose its appeal to me. While I'm still subbed to Twoset, I usually don't watch their videos anymore. As a new casual two set watcher I was curious about this video. I don’t mean to offend but to be honest it just feels like you were too deep into them. The standards you’re asking for are so unattainable, especially because you don’t know them personally. The cynicism here is also… not it. Judging them while not knowing the big picture and feeling entitled to know everything that goes on is just not it.
@mirandapoh91982 жыл бұрын
Oh I'm also a new casual two set watcher :) Honestly I do believe that its very hard to be a perfect channel on the internet because they're now dealing with almost 4 million followers and can receive backlash from trying to speak up too much on these things. The media is definitely a hard place to navigate because you honestly don't know the person behind the screen. But IMO there are still a lot of things to learn from this video, because even though maybe not all fans are cynical there are some who do act like that as shown in her video who have been hurting her; the fact that the fandom is causing more hurt than joy to her seems like a good enough reason for her to leave. About the high standards, to me I feel like she didn't just leave because twoset didn't hit her high standards, but rather she felt like the fandom was toxic, she couldn't relate to their videos anymore and it wasn't bringing her that much joy anymore. I feel like she noted the standards more as an ideal she hopes twoset will work towards. I honestly won't judge her and twoset about the plagiarism and content issues because I don't feel like I am the one to talk about these things. I'll just take treating the media with more awareness as a final learning point from this video. Either way I do think it's great that she decided to take a break and I do still like watching twoset videos. Hopefully I don't come off as offending either

I'm not sure if you'll ever go back to this video after 10 months, but I just wanted you to know that I respect you a lot for voicing out your own opinions on this, even when other people have badmouthed you. And even more respect for being willing to change your mindset and step out from what you think was toxic and hurtful. It's a great example of what a proper supporter should be as you don't just ignore or try do defend the channel's unreasonable (?) actions and think logically. You're absolutely right that to be a fan doesn't mean yelling and being rude to fans who might have different opinions on content. I thought the content you gave before we amazing (like how did you get so many clips :0) but I do understand your reasons for leaving the fandom. I'm a casual new fan so honestly I had no idea of any of these controversies. I really liked this video of yours because you really took the time to explain your views, rather than just dissing twoset and telling us why they suck. Its not easy for any influencer as they have to deal with so many fans and opinions, and sometimes it's not them but their fandom itself. So far for me twoset doesn't seem always unreasonably horrible (in my opinion, as a very new fan), but this video has really raised my awareness in considering other perspectives and thinking deeper into what I see on the media everyday. Stay safe, stay strong, you're an amazing creator. Your clarity in analyzing your situation was super mature to me; I hope you're doing well after 10 months :) P.S. your voice sounds way better than the robot voice thing

I fully agree. Ever since that incident, I unsubscribed and eventually stopped wanting to watch their videos even when they were recommended to me. It deeply disappointed me that they chose to just cover it up, and pretended that it never happened. It was handled so badly. I thought they would respect original content and creator rights from their videos where they compared similarities between classical music and e.g. movie soundtracks. But it's like they had double standards, and these rules don't apply on themselves? They also used La Mer's art cover on their merchandise, which was supposedly "inspired" when it looked identical. Then I went to their website and saw that they were looking for Chinese translator VOLUNTEERS. Really? You're just gonna take fans for granted and ask them to do work for free? This was removed from their website. I'm not sure if they found a volunteer, or they realised that it was not right. Sighhhhhh Internet culture (esp fan / stan culture) has become so toxic. I try not to look at such comments to save myself from some heartache. People need to realise that it doesn't mean that when you stan someone, they are perfect and you have to support everything they do, especially it doesn't sit right with you. Morals aren't things that should bend at your whims and fancies. Btw I'm so glad you aren't quitting KZbin for good. Let us know when you create your new channel! I'll check it out

@@dkdjdw305 the same incident that was mentioned in this video at 0:57 in this video. TwoSet had a video reviewing adult beginners learning a violin piece in 24 hours. The first portion of their video was taken from Wolfie Venturi, but TwoSet did not credit the video creators. Wolfie commented under that video asking them to credit him in the video description box (which they should have done even before Wolfie's request). I am going to quote Elon Musk when he said that Tesla, currently at least, all patents with regard to Tesla tech is now open source. In general, patents are there to protect something which, in this case, is Tesla's intellectual property. These instruments, under their possession, they could do with it what they choose. Some people might not like that idea but Elon has decided and has put it through the Board of Directors and obviously they gave it the go ahead. Now, the reason I mention this is that some would say that its corporate suicide to post your IP out there in the wild for anyone to use but as Elon states its about creating competition to accelerate innovation. How does that make you feel? Do you think he is arrogant for doing so and hate him for that? Statistically, there will be a 50/50 chance that a negative answer will result. However, consider the fact that the decision wasn't yours to make in the first place and, for a lack of a better statement, none of your business. So, with that in mind, let's go back to the Two Set situation. My opinion is that Twoset's performance on YT lately, since about COVID times, has started to show some decline. It is to be expect considering what has happened to their lives in the last few years, not to mention going on a world tour recently and having to plan for it is a logistical nightmare, even with support in the background. However, that doesn't answer the question that was inferred by the OP. To that I say, you do you. Just like I wouldn't stop anyone from still being part of their fandom, just because I didn't like something that twoset did. Furthermore, get with the program girl, this is the real world. Does it change anything in the world right now just because you feel the way you feel? Or, for instance, what if you were still their fan and they decided to leave like they are now? What would you do? What would you say? In the final analysis, no matter what the answers are, they would be irrelevant because it isn't really that important to the grand scheme of things.

The problem for Twoset is their content has drawn trolls into their fanbase, they are known for doing roasts, disrespecting other types of music, other types of instruments etc etc. These trolls go out and pour hate into the internet and tryhards try to critique other musicians and generally just go around commentating hate

I strongly agree. Most fan bases have such people though.

They could fix that by making it clear to stop the bullying within their fans but they seem to indulge in that toxicity

I know this is from a while ago, but I wish you hadn’t let these 12 year olds and incels get to you. It’s also not worth the time and effort; I’m honestly not certain why TwoSet is as famous as they are, seeing as how they’re immature, vanilla, and, quite frankly, not as nearly as good as they and their fans project.

I'm sorry but the reason why two set is famous is because they're are good, motivational for many people, bring classical music to a wider audience and do an excellent job at it. so you not understanding it is convenient because you are officially dik riding this pseudointellectual video, the stans of every community are obviously bad, two set 99%.of times are aways fun, they did one thing bad and it makes them this evil that this idiot claims them to be regardless if she doesn't want them to be canceled. she's was repeating herself all the time while there are videos literally in which two set say don't harass people, so idk what you waffling about, they are classical musicians, good at it, entertaining, joke about classical music which is their literal fanbase lol, give constructive criticism about music videos, experience fraud etc.

We NEED twoset in order to connect the elite classical world and us general audiences. Sure, there are professionals (virtuosos, soloists) and twoset are not as skilled as them, but they are like a gateway, allowing general audiences with NO or little knowledge of classical music to learn about classical music and musicians. I'm fine with what they are now, because someone has to eventually stay in the middle. Lemme give you an example: kurzgesagt, an excellent, high originality, creative science channel that makes learning fun, but actually they are just touching the basics of everything and present it in an aesthetically, light hearted way. They are not too into details because imagine how much time and budget will they need to explain everything. Once something is too complicated and people have a hard time understanding , one might even lose interest, no matter classical music or science. Twoset is successful because they have encouraged the younger generation into liking classical music. Their content is light-hearted and simple to understand. Sure, there are toxic stans in the fandom as well, but those people had nothing better to do (probably not practicing!) I value my practice time more now so I have already gone through that phase. Sure, people can search for their fanart, the fanfics, the memes, become shippers etc. but I believe that the true "mature" people should always remind themselves to understand 2set's significance and role, not just entertain themselves with the above mentioned activities to find a group to get attached to, feel like "they've found their gang" and narrow down their minds. There are alot of other things to enjoy and do. I am subscribed to 2set for a couple years now, I missed every single livestream, 2mil, 3 mil, 4 mil, I have not been watching their content for 2 years straight until after I graduated from high school and started picking up their content and rediscovered the magic. Yet I dont feel guilty about it.

Keren means cool in Indonesia. A little surprised you used a word related to Indonesia when all other comments are in English. The word Karen in the USA means a woman or man creating a scene in public because they perceive themselves being treated unfairly.
