I never realized this but it's crazy how one 2 minute side tangent at the beginning of a 5 year old Jaiden animations video literally affected me so much without me realizing at the time. The example and the 'get all sides' thing basically taught me not to judge prematurely, and to be unbiased, objective, and understanding in a logical debate. Honestly I used to hate Gordon Ramsay. I though he was a self-entitled jerk that just wanted to crush the dreams of up-and-coming young chefs, because all I ever saw of him was context-less clips of him shouting at people. That was, until I started watching Hell's Kitchen with my mom. Let me tell ya folks, that none of his yelling and insults are undeserved, and he can actually be quite kind when he sees potential in these young chefs. He's brutally honest, which is very admirable in my opinion. He pushes his chefs to be the very best they can be, and I think that's a good thing. Good on you, Gordon, for pushing the next generation of chefs forward, and making sure they're prepared for the real life cheffing world.

He's actually a relaxed and nice person. He is tough as hell, and he has very strict standards, but if you treat him with respect and you do the work needed to be done to his approval, he actually does treat you with respect back. He also can be very nice to competitors if they're having a hard time. He's the first one to step in and get a medic or have someone rushed to the hospital if there's an injury on Hell's Kitchen. Hell, one time he had a chef on the show who had a very abusive father who had the same name as the chef, just nickname form. Ramsey kept on calling the chef by the nickname until the chef told him about his history, Gordon apologized and commented that he wished he knew earlier so he wouldn't have kept on making the same mistake. He also has paid for a lot of culinary school tuitions for chefs with a lot of talent, but are too inexperienced to handle the big leagues. He swears (a lot) but he also really cares when it's not cooking bad food.

My bf is a huge Gordon Ramsey fan and so we've been binge watching Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Hell and he is genuinely one of the nicest people. Multiple times in Hotel Hell when he goes to a hotel where the owners are living there because they can't afford a home, HE GOT THEM HOMES AND PAID MONTHS IN ADVANCE FOR THEM. I love him, he's such a good guy. Side note: his dog is so f-ing adorable
