The Chilanga Mulilo or Matebeto is a part of the Zambian marriage ceremony that is a celebration of local food and culture when a couple is getting married. A tradition practised by a few tribes across Zambia but has been modernized over the years to incorporate and bring together many different tribes in Love!
Zambia, in southern Africa, is a landlocked country of rugged terrain and diverse wildlife, with many parks and safari areas. On its border with Zimbabwe is famed Victoria Falls - indigenously called Mosi-oa-Tunya, or "Smoke That Thunders” - plunging a misty 108m into narrow Batoka Gorge. Spanning the Zambezi River just below the falls is Victoria Falls Bridge, a spectacular viewpoint.

I like how you are showing off Africa, the Motherland to us in the diaspora and also the rest of the world. I also want any Zambians reading this comment to know that their first president Kenneth Kaunda, visited my country Barbados in the Caribbean somewhere around the late 70s early 80s. I cannot quote the exact year because it was a while back but by knowing who our Prime Minister was when he visited, I can give a range. I think he was on a Caribbean tour at the time and he was welcomed to our country by our then Prime Minister, JMGM Tom Adams, and this was covered by our local TV.

@@jacksonmpala7870 Totally agreed, he was one African president that I took an immediate liking for; he projected himself as a very genuine person, a person who cared for his people. As a matter of fact, when he spoke on our TV, he was very critical of the western governments back then and their oppression of the motherland; in my mind he is one of the greats, in the same league as Mandela, Lumumba and Nkrumah. Looking forward to the future and another up and coming young and vibrant leader Ebrahim Traore in Burkina Faso. He too has caught my eye and I am expecting great things from him. May God Almighty continue to bless and protect him from attacks; only recently there was another attempted coup.

Marwa Lusaka cannot beat Nairobi when it comes to Malls, or roads ... Or infrastructure in general. I don't think you can even count the number malls in Nairobi cause they are too many. Congrats Mum Lusaka is very kind and motherly ... Awesome hospitality. KQ on the other hand never has positive reviews 😢!

In terms of overall infrastructure yes I agree with you. But in terms of roads with proper sidewalks the Lusaka is ahead by far. The whole city of Lusaka has proper sidewalks with mostly well paved roads. In Nairobi you are only now upgrading your sidewalks. It's very easy so step in muddy sidewalks or sidewalks that are falling apart or sidewalks with grass only in Nairobi. Nairobi also needs to replace its inner city roads. Zambia also has more of a Southern African feel to it's malls similar to South African malls so it depends what's your preference I personally prefer that feel. I personally love two rivers and that other mall close to Runda out of every mall I've been to. It's okay to not win at everything. Generally Nairobi is ahead but it has competition. I've been to both cities but live in Johannesburg. Personally I think Nairobi is the next big thing but they have a few things to sort out.

Marwa, please get well-versed with your own country before traveling to others. I gasp every time you say Kenya doesn't have something when it actually does. Yesterday you said Kenya does not have such good houses unless they belong to the first family which is not actually right. If you travel to places like Runda Estate. ...Muthaiga Estate. ..Gigiri...Kilimani Estate. ...Lavington Estate. ...Rosslyn Estate. ...Kitisuru Estate. and many estates not mentioned then you will know that Nairobi has amazing houses and they do not only belong to the 1st families, diplomats or ambassadors. Then today again you have failed us with the mall thing, we have more than 40 malls in Nairobi alone so there's no way Lusaka can beat us. It is not a competition but we also don't want you to downplay or misrepresent us as your Country. Enjoy your travels

Only in Zambian native food restaurants you pay for protein. The Nshima and the veggies are free! The food is too much! Yet WHO tells the world we are starving of hunger 😫😫😫 Show them the food, even if it’s the most affordable food for locals (less than £10 for all that), it’s high in nutrional values. That’s what keeps us strong!
