It depends on what you are looking for. Of the 108 Upanishads, Shankara wrote commentary on 10 of them and are considered authoritative in Vedanta: Isha, Kena, Katha, Prasna, Mundaka, Mandukya, Taittiriya, Aitareya, Chandogya, and Brithadaranyaka. Scholars say Mandukya is one of the most important. Isha Upanishad is short and explains the Self in a beautiful way. Kena is not too long and talks about what is Brahman very nicely.

The followers of Sanatan Dharma are called 'Arya' (Aryan in english), it is purely based on Vedas which is a revelation from God. Vedas contains no human history, reference to any geographical area etc, because God's word are for all human beings on earth and the rules of God and the knowledge it contains about universe are eternal, whereas human histories are bound to the course of time. God has revealed his words as he created the humans on earth unlike Abrahmic religion where God's word contains histories of the tribal people living in middle east and keeps changing according to the situations. Many western scholars like Max Muller had misinterpreted the vedas and presented a false translation of it. Sanatan Dharma is strictly Monotheistic and prohibits not only idolatory but also pilgrimage and veneration of any material objects.
