They say SM has a harsh training, but I can say, it is worth it! Look at their artist! ALL OF THEIR ARTIST! They're all successful and known around the globe. They go around the globe more than 50+ a year to perform concerts! They're the best! They couldn't be the best if they're not trained well and disciplined well while trainee days. SM Entertainment has the most number of albums sold next to Woolim (From a Source). I Love the company. If given a chance to train, I would choose SM. I would like to be one of the family. They have the most strongest bond ever

I know this is late but I heard SM has friendly trainers. You wouldn't feel pressured although it's hard. Sometimes the idols are the one training the trainees. They make them feel as if they're part of the family.

I also love SM family! They were the first KPOP family I was addicted to.And still I love them. Cause they act like a real family and they are very nice to each other. I really don't like any other KPOP family cause I see them barely together.SMTOWN is a true family and a great family! SM will not treat you bad if you will just obey. SM will respect you if you'll respect them to.. If you're stubborn and and lazy in memorizing dance steps and lyrics . Naturally They will treat you bad. Actually SM artist are very lucky because SM is in Charge of their allowance and their tuition for School.All they want is replacement for that.

Well, maybe you already know that DBSK now only consists of only Changmin and Yunho. Originally there were 5 of them including Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun. (By the way, I'm german but I'm trying my best to find the right words. :) So the three of them filed a law suit against their agency SM because their contracts were really unfair and almost inhumane if you ask me. They were forced to do things that weren't in the contract, they didn't get the appropriate amount of money for their work. As far as I know they didn't even get to rest if they were sick. The court of Seoul agreed with them and they were allowed to terminate their contracts. Since then they formed their own group JYJ. That's why I really can't stand SM because I don't think they were the only ones who were treated like that. It's also kind of difficult for me to listen to the new songs of DBSK because everytime I do so, I remember that stuff and get angry. But that was a short summary. I hope that helps you to understand my comment up there. x)
