I live near to the dutch border in Germany and I drive with my trekking bike once a month to Venlo. A beautiful city. The villages Arcen and Steyl are also worth seeing and near Venlo.

I love Venlo, because it is beautiful and even staying there just a short time gives me a Holiday feeling.

Very nice video well done. Not sure if you live in Venlo or not. I am a American living in Eindhoven Netherlands 1/2 hour drive to venlo. I have to say the main reason that makes venlo look so good or pleasant to enjoy is that it is CLEAN. There is no graffiti and garbage or beer or red bull cans everywhere like Eindhoven. It makes a huge difference that it is clean. Eindhoven could take a big lesson from Venlo or Den Bosch cities. If you come to Eindhoven let me know I show you around.

Im from Essen, Germany and visited Venlo with a friend on a warm day a few weeks ago and we have noticed this too! I thought we were maybe just blinded by "everything different" (haven't traveled to many places yet) there but your comment reassures we actually weren't. Beautiful city agreed.

@@joste77 well if you make it to the Eindhoven let me know and I will show you aground. Did you have difficulty traveling across the border? Both coming here and returning home? Did you travel by car? I am curious as I want to travel over the German border to go to Berlin and to see the Rijn River once again.

@xJackXdDD Do you live there? if so let me know. Also why do you think Venlo has become filthy and how has it become filthy? I am curious to learn these answers. If it has become this that is a very big shame on the Dutch people as they should do better to teach people not to destroy vandalize or dirty their cities. You look at the Den boss that is a nice city with a gorgeous downtown city center.

Im traveling to Venlo tomorrow.... I have a couple of questions: Since I will miss a lot my sunny Pula city with free minded, wilth macho people (especially cool macho women) . some of which are extremely POI, others are very liberal but on a a much less sensitive side than the majority of Dutch people.... Where can I find such people and likewise... the venues they like to go (like some pretty genuine harc core, rock, metal, techno and trance performaces, or pubs, bars or small cozy clubs that have such performances and mostly free entrances and such kind of people? Does that kind of thing and such kind of people even exist in Venlo or anywhere in Netherlands ??? If they do exist... PLEASE KINDLY TELL ME WHERE.. Since I will die without my own kind there... (its painful enough that I dont even have where to swim there for kilometers) LOL Thank you!

@Danny Rey loL And I will... Here all places look generic, all pubs look generic.. all girls look generic... And most of them are just too tall, too chunky, too fat, all blondes and majority of them have same kind of mouth, chin and face... And a lot of them have the looks,, clothing and styles identical like Balcanian bimbos form generic clubs Im avoiding.... The only hot and unique looking girls I've met in Netherlands are only

@Danny Rey And most of all.. I hate these Dutch bikes they gave me in my company here.... Idk how can you people drive that crap with a bent steering wheel and no brakes... only braking with pedals! And no gears either! Thats super idiotic and dangerous.. Especially for your hectic traffic and wet rainy conditions. Especially when you have to stop at the traffic lights or pedestrian crossings....I have to climb down every time and prepare my pedals to start.. Thats stupid! ... Im used to lifting my right pedal with a nanosecond precision, above the curb. to give more space to cars at some moments... You dont know that struggle or that skill when you have to drive together with cars.. you all have your fancy bike lanes :D We only have those in our metro and some never parts of our cities.. But nowhere near as much as in Nederlands. And cyclicts here are never stoping for pedestrians or for cars! ... Back in croatia you wopuld kill someone like that or get killed... My people have a habit and a culture to stop for everybody and slow down... Pedestrians are respecting cyclists.. cyclists drive carefully and stop for pedestrians.. Every car stops for both cyclists and pedestrians.. etc.. So dont call my country a third world :D ... This here is a thirld world! I mean I was to Eindhoven 2 weeks ago... You dont even have 1 proper big store to buy groceries.. Just one micro Spar and one tiny Jumbo! ... In my 60,000 city in croatia... we have like 5 malls, each bigger than a whole warehouse u guys have here :D ... Or like a tiny city .... I mean I wasnt able to even buy a f**** spoon in Eindhoven... I only found SOME in Jumbo... After looking by my self.. because the kids working in the store were lazy to find it and didnt even know they had it! I got to the checkout and the funny feminized fat kid told me I need to collect some stickers to buy those.... 2nd week in Nederlands I dont have my own spoon... Let alone to find some hardware store..... I did hoever found some nice big bike store in Geleen... they have proper bikes in that GIANT store... its a lot like our HERVIS shop and they have proper bikes there for like 600 € up.... IDK why are you all still driving those funny granny bikes.... I mean.. I learned to drive those the first day... but still... They are dangerous in traffic... And and so impractical... And look ugly. .... Im still trying to find something I could like here tho... There must be something................. Besides Polish and Latvian females.. LOL
