Hola Janet! Thank you for both videos! I moved to Tulum permanently in November and I love your perspective on this beautiful and crazy town. I'm sorry I won't see you here though! Anyway I love how you've grown your channel. You helped me so much in getting ready to move to Mexico. I'm also so inspired by your personality on camera - you're so natural and fun! Best wishes to you and if you ever get back to Tulum, text me and I'll buy the tacos and cervezas! 🌟❤️💕☺️🦩

The 10 reasons why I came to Yucatán, Tulum Holbox or other islands and will spend here the next 5 months : - No Pcr test or quarantine nedded to fly in - No mandatory masks outside and also inside shops or restaurants is asked ( like Holbox or Isla Mujeres those places are really free for no mask people right now, a little paradise ). - Weather now is great! Dry not too warm! - Great food - You can still party in hostal or beach clubs - The seaside is just amazing ( Isla Mujeres, Cozume, Tulum 😍😍 ) - Lots of yoga! - Escape the winter weather and the health dictatorship crazy rules back in Europe - All folks I meet from all around the world and have a proper social life ! - If you know where to go and where to eat is relatively cheaper the Europe or US but never as cheap as SEAsia or Bali.. Thanks Janet!!

You guys are the problem. There isn’t enough medical equipment to treat covid in Mexico and y’all are neglecting to do your part and just spread the bug needlessly. There is a mask mandate there too it’s just not enforced.

Yoooo Janet! - u are 100% spot on about amazing food. 3 of the 10 best meals i've ever had were in Tulum. Incredible food culture! Not cheap - but a lot cheaper than Michelin star restaurants by a lot.

After seeing your video about what you dislike of Tulúm, I did not have the stamina to watch this one. No matter how lovely, picturesque you might present Tulúm, it is not worth my while to go there again. Thanks for your tips.

I am in Playa del Carmen at the moment and have been here a week. I decided to stay here one or two more nights before going to Tulum but I noticed the hotel and AIR properties there are very expensive. Since it has been raining and overcast here the last few days, my hotel has been reducing their prices so figure i might as well stay a bit longer. It is also fairly quiet either due to Covid or the rainy days though I find it a pleasant interlude from the norm. As a veteran traveler, you definitely made me think about just traveling straight on to Bacalar instead. I don’t need to deal with the negatives you mentioned and the positives that you note don’t overwhelm me. Been there, done that!

Pack your sunscreen and a sense of adventure, because Tulum, Mexico is calling your name louder than a howler monkey on a caffeine binge! Picture this: ancient Mayan ruins overlooking crystal-clear turquoise waters, where even the iguanas have a front-row seat to the world's best beach party. Tulum is not just a destination; it's a playground for the sun-seekers, the history buffs, and anyone who appreciates a good guacamole-induced food coma. It's the kind of place where your biggest decision is whether to lounge in a hammock or explore underground cenotes. Oh, and did I mention the iguanas? They're like the local celebrities, strutting around like they own the place. So, why should you visit Tulum? Because life's too short to miss out on a tropical paradise where history high-fives you while you sip on a coconut under the swaying palm trees. Pack your bags, amigo, and let the Tulum adventures begin! Thanks, Janet Newenham!

@@danieltroyo3847 I plan on buying a ticket to mexico city this week, for late March. I hope they arent in lockdown during that time, i hear they are currently until the 17th. MOst airlines have waived change fees, so I can always cancel the trip if it's locked down. I plan on going for a full week! Hope to take some day trips to other parts of mexico, maybe ther's a beach that's a day trip away? I love the ocean

@@kaylaschregardus4062 it sounds like a plan .the closest beach to Mexico City is on the gulf of Mexico side, don't go there,go the Pacific ocean,it's prettier and the closest to Mexico City will be Ixtapa but again,if you go there during Easter,it will be crowded and pricey,if I were you, spend easter in Mexico City and then go to Ixtapa

I believe it was a satirical writer known as Gavin Mac who blogged about live in SEA. he had an article entitled "seven reasons to marry a Cambodian woman"...followed very rapidly by "seven reasons NOT to marry a Cambodian woman." Sometimes you have to tell americans that it's satire cos they just don't get it...
