Recently picked this game up and man do I love it. It's a better version of Cold War without the SBMM. Only a level 64 right now but I have a blast playing it and hope Ubisoft doesn't ruin this game by doing what they're doing.

Working customs without any game breaking bugs would definitively be something that brings new life into this game. At least for myself and a couple of discord friends. It would be cool to do a friendly tournament style competition between server members. But to answer your other question, more content on top of customs being introduced needs to be there as well. There’s only so much a basic private match feature can carry on its back. Also appreciate your passion for XDefiant. It’s a shame Ubisoft doesn’t utilize the dedicated content creators that only want what’s best for this game.

I love this game. The old school CoD feel with the Overwatch abilities make it my favorite shooter in a very long time. Its got some bugs sure, but overall its great and Im gonna keep going. I couldnt care less about grinding for content, I play because I like the game.

What would bring me back by now? The same stuff that would have kept me playing a few weeks ago. Spider bot removal, a mercenary playlist to solve the rampant stacking issue, and removal of the dreaded air strafing. None of those will ever happen, so CoD it is.

Spiderbot is not a problem, I don't see how people are still complaining about this, so many ways to counter it. Also the air strafing isn't nearly as bad as it was, but that's part of the game and just need to adapt, but the mercenary playlist sounds cool

For me Custom games would not bring me back, I left due to lack of content. I much prefer the gun play and movement of XD over BO6 but there is nothing to do on XD other than get camos and play but you get the camos by playing anyway. BO6 has so many different things to unlock and do, even tho it's not even half as fun, it gives me shit to do, everything XD has released so far should have all been in 1 season and then maybe I'd have enough to do until the next season

Bruh, sponsored streams are normal... They're a common way for a company to get eyes on a game nowadays. The streamer you're referencing is a variety streamer that rarely plays the same game more than once a week. His recent broadcasts list is pretty much all different games. WoW literally did the exact same thing for a launch a few weeks ago. Deceit, lethal company, phasmophobia, WoW, raid doo doo legends, genshit impact, content warning, etc.... Singling out this dude or acting like sponsored streams is a bad marketing tactic is straight up asinine reasoning..... If this whole video was about the slow drip-feed of content or the obvious slowdown with developer communication with their community: you'd have a wayyy better point....

BO6 looking good right now, Treyarch are already pushing out updates for complaints (like the Recon perk). It's sad because this game is good at the core and still enjoyable. But the Ubisoft team is just missing so many opportunities and doing things that are pushing more people away from the game. I also just read the patch notes for tomorrow, and it looks like they're nerfing the glitch that allowed people to get pyroclastic without reaching 23 weapons.

I just want my ACR back; needless, nerfs, while content is dry, is begging to sour the community. Ubisoft is probably saving their big marketing push for S3, but if they aren't, I don't have a lot of hope for the game; that being said... Foamstars is still alive, so if they're still going, I doubt xDefiant will close its doors over a lack of new players.

Firstly I really enjoy this game. But what does it need to bring players back. Their attention. - Content: maps like Rockefeller, Mid season events, content drops and modes. Shotguns was great, 3v3 not so good. How about 10 v 10? - Expose the Events/Challenges in the main UI not the Ubisoft Connect - One other thing is longevity, I was going for the camo grind now Im not sure that is worth especially if the game does not last. When you run against COD you need to be competitive, they have set an expectation for content and marketing, unfortunately XD cannot match it.

I still really like XD. I'm more of a tactical sim player like ARMA 3 and Reforger, and this is my 1st Sweaty FPS i've played for, oh god, a couple of decades. I have a huge skill issue, but I still really, really like it. Even with the cheating and smurfing assholes I see all to often!

The ideas of the game are alright, plus no SBMM in XDefiant, but the characters and the world itself having a crossover of various Ubisoft games (The Division 2, R6S, Far Cry 6 and New Dawn, Ghost Recon Phantoms, Splinter Cell, etc.) feel boring. As much as I want to say good things about the game, I uninstalled it. Who knows how long the official servers will maintain. Enders said XDefiant was mediocre, and I agreed with his opinion.

As a viewer seeing the title be "Why I'm quiting XDefiant" and the thumbnail being an ominous tease to a mystery person, it gives the initial idea that that person is to blame. As the video went on I appreciated the clarification that you don't actually hold ill will towards them but instead Ubisoft though. I think painting the spotlight on Ubisoft to begin with would've helped with the delivery of your message, thumbnail mostly.
