I know the feeling. I had last year a small burn out in the competitive airsoft. Took the time of being a team captain and just played for fun and helped out other teams as a backup player. I did fond you through airsoft but gonna stay for the content even if it's not airsoft related. Enjoy life and do what makes you happy. 🙏

Just went through the same thing with paintball and switched to airsoft last year. When it stops being fun, it time to think about why it changed. For me the price of paint, equipment, and the feeling of it being a job and not a relaxing time. But still dragging my feet on selling my stuff.

Paintball and speedsoft is pretty much the same, so the transition won't take long. Just don't let it turn into another job. Find people who are like minded and the most important thing is to smile and laugh. That's something that we tend to forget as we progress in the hobby/sport.

I totally get the overwhelming aspect of competitive airsoft. I remember shortly after I started playing I ended up on a team and after some time playing with the team, one of the leaders who was the most active on the team began pressing the comp aspect to the point where he was calling and texting me at work about airsoft and even when we were playing video games it was always "practicing comms" it got to the point where I just had to step away because I was overwhelmed and I'm getting back into the sport now. A group/team of people you play with are cool and all but we have to remember it's just flashy tag with plastic.

Yes to fun part , if u lose it it goes arse pretty quick, comp scene can be toxic as even when u don’t want it to be , I stopped recording, social media posts it made a difference, I’m just playing, go hard on the paintball just don’t repeat the cycle lol

@@sinfulpirate it's a hard left to what your used to. But I'm a "grenadieqr " and shooting some of TAGGinn products ar3 for sure a different and fresh aspect to airsoft. Plus the squad organization. You already do that, but it would be more structured with little side "bits" . Give at least one a go. I'm on the east coast and play with "pushgang". If you would like more info. Let me know

Competitive play is fun, but I feel like it takes away from the experience. Normal pickup games are awesome and don't ruin it. Paintball isn't much different from airsoft, just different angles. If your hobby feels like a job then it's no fun anymore. I shoot real steal, airsoft, blow darts, archery and run rc cars with gf. Be open. Comp isn't everything

Competitive airsoft is a very toxic community, I recommend when you come back to airsoft you don't go back to the competition side. I've been playing airsoft since 2009 and I've participated in all kinds of airsoft except for hardcore milsims. Through highschool I started competing in tournaments before speedqb even existed, team fell apart after highschool and I went to reffing tournaments and competing in one off 1v1s and 2v2s and just having fun in scrimmages before and after tournaments, then I got into outdoor games, then I started doing larp airsoft events like zombie apocalypse style things, then I got into competitive shooting both airsoft and real, and now I'm here doing the youtubes focusing on custom pistols. All of that but still ever since day one, casual public games are the best form of airsoft and especially if you don't try to get "good gopro footage". I have watched many an airsoft team or player climb the competitive airsoft ladder, only to switch to paintball and develop that mindset, then switch back to airsoft with that ugly mindset. Please don't bring your paintball mindset back to airsoft if you decide to return, remember airsoft is supposed to just be fun; nothing too serious about it. I won't unsubscribe from you in the hopes that you return, but I also will not watch any paintball content because that's gross.

@@sinfulpirate I can speak for all players because you can't even go to an airsoft tournament nowadays without; teams accusing each other of cheating, players arguing with the refs, hate being thrown towards the host field, hate being thrown towards the event coordinator, accusations of bias. Competitive airsoft is the most anti-community community I've experienced thus far in life and it's sad because it also is the community I've loved the most thus far in life
