I remember I got one of these things at goodwill a few years ago and it was the worst vacuum I have ever touched in my entire life! I remember it being really flimsy and some parts broke on the bottom of it. The brushroll also sounded annoying agitating the carpet. I sold it for $4 on offer-up and have stayed away from them ever since. I am glad that you were able to return it. Dirt Devil really never went away with that "filter in the dust cup" set up, they have been using that design for 20+ years now, and they think they can hide it with the fake cyclone, ha! My rule is NEVER buy a Dirt Devil that is still made.

If you clean it will work better. I have the same vacuum if you deep clean it at least twice a month it works great. That's why most appliances conk out because people don't clean it.

i’m not a huge fan of bagless vacuums. yes, it is cool seeing the dirt spin, but most people these days are lazy and they don’t bother to clean the filters. and no matter how expensive the bagless vacuum is, some dirt will pass though the cyclone. but bagged vacuums in the other hand have better filtration and sometimes you don’t even need to clean the filter, all the dirt will stay in the bag except the small particles.

@@vacuumguy3165 unfortunately people never replace bags either. I talked to someone who said they would use pliers to pull dirt from the bag and reuse it. They never replaced it during the whole life of the vacuum. The best vacuums for average people are ones with super efficient cyclones so you don't need to wash the filters often. You have to pick something. There is no such thing as a maintenance free vacuum.

The gray extension wand doesn’t lock on to the hose . Just slides off, no clip lock.

Glad I found this because I got a the same dirt devil as a gift, but it just doesn't work any better than a broom at this point. However my neighbor was just getting rid of her Clearview and I wanted to know if it would be an upgrade. It looks a bit used and idk if it has anything broken yet, but hey, it was free and I doubt it could work much less than the enduramax.

In my opinion, the cleanview is just a ripoff of the powerforce helix and turbo, it's just bigger and more powerful. I would just go for the helix turbo but then again the turbo tool just doesn't work that well, the cleanview's hose is probably a little shorter than the helix turbo but it shouldn't be a problem.

I wish I had seen this video before I purchased this product. It worked very well for about 7 months and now it has almost no suction and actually blows dust out when you try to use it. I found a lot of dust and hair stuck it the tubing and removed it, hoping that would help but it still isn't suctioning well and now shuts off after 5 minutes due to overheating. I'm guessing there is a clog somewhere that I can't get to and will have to take it in to be fixed. Very annoying.
