Why I'm Selling My RF 28 -- 70 f/2 0. Ruaha Safari Debrief

Camera gear needs to fulfill a purpose and be fun to use. While on safari I just couldn't be bothered using the RF 28-70 so I'm trading it in for something more fun and easy.

I prefer the RF 24-70mm f/2.8 since I sometimes like to record video and the image stabilization helps. The RF 28-70mm has a loud autofocus motor that shows up on video recordings. Speaking of which, you may want to turn down your background music so we can hear you better.

Aloha Joseph. Thank you for watching and for your comments. Thank you, too, for your feedback. I will certainly lower or turn off the background music moving forward. I’ve never used the RF24-70, but imagine it is stellar. I had the EF version and used when traveling but hardly ever at home. I’ve been impressed with the IQ of all the RF lenses that have used to date. As a video and stills shooter, are you excited about the new 24-105? Thanks again and have a great day.

@@LeeScott-LightSourceKauai I like what Canon is doing by creating the 24-105mm f/2.8 lens, but it isn't for me. My photography philosophy has changed with experience, and the permanently long internally zooming lenses are more bothersome than I'd like to deal with. They have a great place in adverse conditions, but those aren't the ones I bring my camera out in!

Which is why I decided to sell it as my photography has shifted away from landscape and more towards wildlife, bro. My existing kit- Zeiss 21mm f/2.8, Canon RF 70-200 f/2.8, and the Leica Q2 Reporter, which the sale of this excellent (but heavy and bulky) lens helped to fund is sufficient for my needs.

You could have rented for a month a lens that is not for Safari. Your video seemed quite confusing, you were not focused.
