I am here to write that I have been watching, listening and literally repeating after your each word for a while in order to advance my speaking and listening skills, which I find pretty effective. I love the way you speak, the vocab you use, the way you join words together. That all is fascinating for me as a nonnative speaker. Thank you for your videos. I find them extremely helpful for learning English and discovering new life management techniques.

Heavier than mp3 player, no physical buttons, WI-FI & browser are distractions, endless ideas for apps to install
@danielgribbon89043 ай бұрын
@@d9kd9k The weight difference is marginal. There are physical volume buttons? I don't have a browser installed or wifi turned on (it's called being intentional). Buying an old phone or using one you already have is cheap. I can have 512GB of content all on a cheap microSD card. I have bluetooth headphone access and a 3.5mm jack. I have my entire music library, my entire ebook library, and the entirety of wikipedia all available to me offline on a Super AMOLED display. I'm not distracted by a browser or apps because I have self control and another phone for that stuff. Enjoy your iPod.

Funny you mention the spotifiy reels. I was thinking the other day about how around 2015 all tech companies figured out the infinite scroll for text and image based content. It took them about ten more years to get infinite scroll for audio visual. All in all I think the internet is just one giant infinite scroll. Sooner or later I think they’ll even get rid of the ability to search lol

Very interesting video and great points about Spotify turning into a social media platform. It really hurts the value of music which despite taking so much work to create is now becoming valued as little as a TikTok or IG Reel. People forget about a new album within a week and expect constant new “content” from artists.

I'm using a Sony NW-A55, which is the last one they made before going Android exclusive. Does only one thing and does it well. Music. No notifications. No apps. No wifi. No additional distractions. And it still has decent battery life, despite nearly five years of use. Was thinking about getting the NW-A306, but the American and European models have been gimped by a mandatory volume limiter.

@@reysu soyes xs11 it's tiny it fits in my running equipment well and is so small it can be hidden in a closed fist also it's terrible to use as a daily phone, so it's impossible to try to get distracted by it as it's slow and serves just the function of an offline Spotify device for runs only. I'm training for a Jujitsu grading and in that I will have to run 3 miles and then for the next belt 6 so it won't weigh me down at all and the battery is only as good as a full days running Spotify in the background. It's the same size also as the Bluetooth earphones case for comparison.
