There is no way to play solo online and avoid community designed levels. And I hate the community designed levels. All of them. And there is no more Solo Chill. This is no longer my game.

Don't blame you for dipping, though I don't share the same sentiment, they definitely over did it with the creative levels in the core modes, currently 57% of knockout is creative levels.

@@Izzytorium Don't fault you for enjoying player-made creative levels, although I believe you may be misguided here, there are definitely a serious lack of Unity levels currently, with only a mere *SEVENTEEN* original maps left with various classics like The Slimescraper/Slime Climb, Jump Club/Showdown, Hex-A-Gone/Ring/Terrestrial and Button Bashers now removed with other previously vaulted ones such as Sweet/Treat Thieves, Hyperdrive Heroes, Egg Scramble/Siege and Knight Fever now *PERMANENTLY removed* from even the game files itself!

Man. I'm sad. I played Fall Guys for years and I turn on PS5 to relax and play this game. I'm speechless. I didn't ask anyone to change how everything played. Previously I could just avoid the player created rounds and play the original game. Now I can't. Now I'm forced into a game I dislike. It's not how I want to spend my time. I wasn't ready to be punched by Fall Guys. I'm not playing another game unless this patch is reversed. Sad. 😢

Genuinely so hyped for 10.9 I think people are underestimating how revolutionary the rotation controller but a thing that I’m really confused about is how are they going to use piggybacking with power ups, what if you just turn into a ball or become invisible? Do they also turn to a ball and become invisible?

If you turn into a ball, the person on your back will be popped off, however if you turn invisible it's unknown what will happen, I'm assuming the person will stay on your back. I can some real wizardry being made either the Rotation Controllers, it'll take some time to unlock its full potential but it'll add some much needed depth to creator made rounds.

Why do they have to make changes so bad for the possibility of appealing to the toddler mobile generation At least they could do is just keep a mode exclusive to them. Solo's Chill could've been that mode, its has everybody can qualify and a 3 round limit. This change was definitely done with mobile, and as a way to transfer them to the other ports with ease since it'll be the same experience.

Addressed EVERY concern I have with 10.9 in the blog post, great video Izzy! Team games in solos was one of my BIGGEST issues in legacy and I do not want them back in Solos... I also wonder what the shared round pool means for Solos exclusive's like Button Bashers, Airtime, Leading Light, etc. Will they just be removed from the roundpool indefinitely or will they take steps to reinvent them in a way that makes sense for Duos & Squads..

I really love your opinions on these updates. I love how you go through every part of the update bit by bit which explains more than Mediatonic does. My big concern about this new update is the knockout mode since I think 3 rounds of it is a bit too low for it to be enjoyed after a week. I hope the round refreshes happen at least every week/2 weeks so the show can have a bit of variety from time to time and for it to not be abandoned after a few days of playing it. I know mediatonic has a chance of handling this show and maybe they already have a plan for it. I think that the 11.0 update could finally be the release for mobile as the new knockout show will fit great to new people coming into the game. I just hope nothing goes really bad in this 10.9 update since it has great potential.

With this object gravity effected mechanic in creative I am wondering if this means we can have other similar things. Like the moving plinks that go back and forth or we can make our own block party, or that one obstical in blastlantis that sways in the middle or a Hoverboard or gravity effected objects like jump club finale. I would also like gravity zones. Static on high or low gravity, have a timer or it is toggled with a button.

I think the 3 round solos is to prepare for the mobile launch since mobile players generally don’t like to be stuck in a game for more than 15 minutes. And to be honest, as a casual player who rarely win in the finals, there’s nothing more frustrating than having to go through a 6 or 7 round game and end up missing the crown by an inch. I suspect the decrease in the number of players to 32 is a necessary change to accommodate the drop in the number of rounds. You finish the show faster, so you will also be searching up new lobbies more frequently. They need sufficient number of other players to also search up a new lobby so that the loading time won’t be too long.

Will help the switch port as well since it's basically using mobile hardware that's 7 years out of date, it's probably done so mobile port will have the same player and round count as the rest of the game as you mentioned.

The thing im worried the most is knockout just like you said if they add team games that is not good, i wouldn't mind it that much but being in a squad with randoms is not really good so i hope they don't add them.I think that some rounds like tail tag, button bashers and much more that are exclusive to solos are not going to be added to duos and squads so the roundpool will be the same but not exactly like if we have space race back in solos it will be back in squads and duos, I'm worried about the refresh of maps too because if they dont refresh them usually that's gonna be a big problem, 40 rounds is not so much but if they manage to refresh many times the roundpool that you not get bored that's gonna be really good so people don't get bored, if they're gonna unvault maps like space race, cosmic highway, speed circuit and much more maps im going to be so excited, bubble trouble has been vaulted for so long and if it comes back its going to be weird to play because i would be so bad at it.I hope they're gonna unvault even LTMS so we can get like stadium star show or other shows. Im very excited of this update because it seems very big

Getting rounds back such as Bubble Trouble and Space Race but also others is unlikely, because some of these got vaulted/removed because of bugs. I personally don't know if we are getting unvaults but 40 rounds is not good. I just hope some vaulted rounds are coming back with refershings

From the looks of things vaulting might be gone, emphasis on the word might, meaning. If vaulting is gone then all the unity rounds could potentially come back but not all at once, they'll add some then remove some and constantly refresh the roundpool. Of course they'll be adding creator rounds too.

I really like the new show name it really fits with the game name, also they need to add a show for only core rounds because I really like the normal rounds and I don’t want them to go so that’s will a good thing if they add it, also they need to do a feature when so many people skipped the level they removed it that will make it more popular because it has higher quality levels.

It really does, wonder if they'll call it Knockout Solos or just knockout and what about Squads and Duo's will they receive the knockout name as well? a unity only round playlist would be nice though I think the vault show serves that purpose, but you need to be in customs in order to play it and they'll never bring it to the show selector so having an LTM where's "MT Original Levels" as Joe referred to it as would be nice.

i hope that now that solos is renamed they make a mode called ultimate knockout with the classic sixty players and and all maps that are at least playable (including vaulted maps). this would make more sense as a seperate optional mode as some devices may not be able to handle it

In the blog post they say "you can still play levels in customs even if there not in the round pool" so I think there should be two custom exclusive shows called Unity Knockout where you can play every unity map and Creative knockout where you can play every Creative level thats been rotated in and out of knockout.

So there's alot to say, firstly ofc i'ma talk about the video itself. I mean just the fact this video is made is huge, the last "I'm worried about __" was in ss4, which was a full season, this is a update, and it's big enough to get this video, which just shows if MT wanted, they can make updated that are 1:1 to a season! And honestly again, so glad this video is made, because, YEAH THE BREAKDOWN AIN'T COMING IN ANY TIME SOON, i expect it to come at the 11.0 update ngl, i wouldn't be shocked if ya didn't make one in general, tho i hope you do ngl, and so relieved to hear bean fort(nite) is gonna be in knockout, loved that map, so well designed, both visuals and the actual level design, and another thing at 4:43 you Unleashed all the anger you've been holding on for a year or more knowing the slime maps, so while it was hilarious to watch, in your perspective, you're probably just feeling better! So before my thoughts on what the update is shaping up to be, this update, may be the turning point of fall guys for the better ngl, we are getting a big massive beefy update after a long while, some of the big content creators are back, MT, seemingly caring about the community again, especially since they gave it their first "we messed up" skin, SINCE THE GRANDIS, WHICH RELEASED EARLY SS1, SO NEARLY 2 YEARS AGO, listing to muf and keeping 4x fame throughout, they may actually become less..... Mediatonicy if that makes any sense, not sure tho we'll have to see! But also them finally collaborating with an big ip again after MONTHS, shows that the game may be healing because of this update, we'll have to see tho Lastly my thoughts, ngl this update looks fantastic ngl, i was so sure it was gonna be like a one in done update, with 1 or 2 new features, not to big, to safe all the good stuff for 11.0, but dear God i was so painfully wrong, they COOKED, explore gonna be a blast! I can't wait to play for hours! And the fame pass dropping with the update is just *chef's kiss* and man the changes to creative gonna be fun, i already love updating my maps every update, so i like the major changes to ragdoll, and man having the rotation control gonna be so cool, i have an idea for a level and cannot wait to make it a reality, really moving obstacles was so needed, glad it's here! The ragdoll, social features and in general new physics is something we'll have to see for ourselves, can't really have an opinion from, NOTHING, just glad they are making changes to none creative stuff ngl! Lastly, again my biggest worry, knockout, 32 players is something i don't find too bad ngl, if done well, it'll be great, especially whenever they drop mobile! People are so livid tho, it's like 32 players is gonna kill their whole family like dude CHILL IT AIN'T THAT DEEP, however, 3 rounds and 40 maps is my biggest concern, first of all, WDYM THE SS4 ROUNDS WON'T RETURN ARE YOU FALLING KIDDING ME???? WHYYYYYYYYY, i'ma go cry in a corner, second, 3 rounds is too short imo, while i glad some people including yourself are actually hyped for 3 rounds, i believe 5 was always the sweet spot, but oh well, at least dailies won't be a chore anymore....... RIGHT???? and lastly, 40 maps, I think it can either be the best change to ever grace fall guys, or worst, first of all, duos and squads having the same round pool as solos or knockout whatever, is worrying, does that mean no more team games? No more short circuit or airtime, NO MORE MY BABY TIP TOE FINAL???? No more button bashers??? No more pixel painters??? If true it's gonna be a terrible change, I'm praying having the same round pool means Team games will return to solos, which I would love! And if they add tip toe finale to solos, i will be SO INCREDIBLY HAPPY, like i would play knockout for days man, and with "MT CREATIVE MAPS" that implies we could potentially get a buffet of brand new rounds made by MT using creative, some nice and fresh fun new maps! I hope so! ALL around, while i am also worried about this update, i believe if done will, this could be the turning point for the game, for the better! After months of the game going downhill, this could save the game! And if the 11.0 update is what we think it is, we may be in a golden age, but hey only time will tell correct?

I thought they would make 10.9 a light update maybe add the jungle skybox, invisible checkpoints and rotation controller and maybe the bean physics changes but they went big, makes me wonder how massive 11.0 is going to be. Paintbrush Skin being the compensation skin makes sense since they messed up big time, like they mess up a lot but the challenge board one affected basically everyone, glad they gave it away, though you do have to claim it from the store unlike grandis which was already in players inventory so I do wonder if paintbrush was a compensation skin or a free skin they planned on giving out regardless if the board broke or not. Keeping 4x fame was on a very nice move and was needed since the fame pass was 300, so glad the next one won't be 300. To me 4 rounds was the sweet spot, not too long nor too short, I loved the 4-round limit on Solos Quick, thought they would've done that instead of 3 rounds, but this change was mostly definitely done for mobile. Looking forward to the update, I genuinely thought about making the 10.9 breakdown video after the update is over as with my 10.8 update breakdown there were somethings that I missed, mainly the 4x fame changes and I 'd like to cover everything about an update but can't do that if it's still going on. Going to have work cut out for me with the refreshes not gonna lie to you.

1:15 What Mediatonic meant to say is they're gonna increase the maximum limit of those obstacles. For example, the Slime Block is 15, which means you only have 15 times to use it. If you exceed that limit, they're not allowed to build with the slime block again, you have to delete the other slime blocks to create one again.

15:03 just a thought, you know how some rounds are like "ONLY ROUND 1" or ''NOT ON STAGE1" it'll maybe be like "ONLY IN DUOS" or "ONLY IN SOLOS" which i hope that's mot the case, i really wanna see maps like short circuit and airtime in duos and squads and also wanna see team games and tip toe final in solos so bad, but if were being real, what'll happen is team games will be gone forever, which will suck ngl.

Didn't think about the possibility of them removing team games in general, could see them taking that route, with some exceptions team games didn't get added to the game. Pixel Painters, Volleyfall & Tip Toe Finale, are the only "team" games they added since Legacy Season 4.

If you go to custom games and into the knockout tab you can find a bunch of unity levels that you can play by yourself like lost temple, roll off, Jump Club, The Swiveller, Kraken Slam, Fall Mountain, Snowball Survival and some you can play with 2 players like volleyfall and Tail Tag, hope they add more in the future!

I still think piggy-backing should be kept in the explore tab as is can be used to help the other person in training but in solos all it does is give the ability to team up, take up less space (in things like Hexa-gone) and makes the fact you have to betray your friends so much worse (in the final).

Oh man didn't think about it being used in Hex A Gone, wonder it'll they disable it in certain maps with a content update. I like the idea of it being in all modes, changes up the gameplay of fall guys, making old maps feel fresh since you can play it in a different way, but I definitely see where you're coming from.

Honestly really good question, I didn't think about that. It could prioritize the person who's running rather, but something we'll just have to find out when the update rolls out. Yeah, I'm not going to lie, renaming races to courses is dumb, especially since it's been part of the game since its inception, maybe it they introduced it as a new tag I could kind of understand, but outright renaming it? nah.

1: No idea what you mean by this, assuming you meant to say golden knight, as in the skin, I guess you could ask them and they might give you a ride. 2: Don't want to give that idiot the attention they crave 3: Some people might not want to or aren't confident in their abilities to carry someone on their back so if they aren't doing well, they might feel ashamed; does add a bit of pressure to the guy carrying the player on their back. 4: The landing target feature doesn't turn off the circle in Volleyfall, it turns off the feature in where it projects a circle beneath you while you're midair. 5: I have no idea, probably for game stability, having less maps probably makes it easier for them to maintain, with refreshing it's probably much easier to manage if you have a smaller list of maps. At 15:56 I said "because they weren't popular and frankly people didn't like em"

That's actually a good question, maybe they won't give survival round as round 1 or they put a qualification limit like they do in some LTM's, they do have fallback rounds that trigger then the game has more players then expected.

Wrong person to ask cause I don't have the faintest clue of what the fortnite and fall guy collab is even about, like from what I can the actual fall guys game isn't going to be affected, right? There have been rumors for mobile for a long time now, but it's been picking up steam recently which could explain the change to 32 players. I do think mobile will have a ton of players, now will the game as a whole get an increase in players, I doubt it.

I didn't know about the tweet they made about the new wheel and emoji's, don't use twitter all that much so I appreciate the heads up. I wasn't planning on featuring the discord messages throughout the video and only save them for the section but thought it would help illustrate my point if I showed the messages. I am going to admit, I was exited for 10.9 till i heard solo changes. the thing with 40 players is that winning you don’t have that much of a sensation like when you had 60 players. Also 3 rounds is way to little, thats the whole point on why I never play stumble guys. They need to create solo and knockout, not remove solos. If they change solo’s to what you said, I might quit fall guys actually

Yeah not gonna lie, 3 rounds is way to short; I think 4 rounds is the sweet spot but 5 is the most im willing to take. This change definitely reeks of fall guy's mobile and is directly aimed at stumble guys, would be easy to migrate from stumble guys if fall guys has the same player and round limits. I personally liked it when they switched to 40, and don't mind 32 players but that's me saying it when I haven't played it yet, my mind could change on that. But it does make me sad to see it got down from 60 to 32.

From the blog post it says, "The Game Selector (formerly Show Selector) will mostly consist of our two main game modes Knockout (solos, duos, squads) and Explore." so yeah it seems like Knockout will have a section all to itself. The fame you earned could be tracked in real time is highly likely, so it showing you the fame you earned from those 5 rounds does sound plausible.

I couldn't be more disappointed with this new update. They absolutely destroyed the game for me now. Everything I used to love about this game is now GONE!! Specifically, this game doesn't even feel like a competition match anymore. They had reduced the amount of players from 60 to 40 and now even to 32 and each match only has 3 rounds maximum now?!?! This is LAME! What happened to the feeling of surviving round after round to win the glory crown or fighting for it at least as far as you can? What happened to reaching the finish line and watching over your competitors, hoping they'd make it or not make it? It's all gone! Now the game just feels like you're testing out some beta stuff and there's no point at all behind it. The feeling of a solid lobby with big competition and building up tension between the players/groups is also gone, since every match is finished so fast. It's ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTING!!

I love short games; but won't deny the feeling of clutching up round 5's and making to the finale. don't worry about the bad levels that may appear, currently in the discover tab on newer rounds, maps that were recently updated can appear, one of my old ones reached newer rounds just by updating it

One benefit is that it helps eliminate high level players since they could get paired up with bad teammates, and as someone who's slightly better than the average player, I hate when that happened, but I can see how it helped the casual players.

I'm going to wait before getting excited, but if vaulting isn't a thing anymore then yeah it could mean LTM's that haven't appeared in a long time could be coming back. Though button bashers was in the game for a while but button bashers royale didn't come back till recently, so even if a map is in the game doesn't mean the LTM that contains it would come back, but that's just me speculating of course.

I don't think it's any vaulted map but some maps like Hyperdrive Heroes, they removed the games files so if you get that map while in an LTM it'll disconnect you.

Even if Mediatonic, at the time, was a bigger studio and pushed out update's fixing bug's/adding new content, cheater's would still kill the enjoyment of the game. The fact that 1 cheater can ruin a game with 59 other player's, some of witch could be brand new consumer's, is bad and they should have done something.

Sure, I do feel a bit weird about it, but it sounds refreshing. In Duos and Squads, they are too rare, and in solo-based shows, they are pretty frequent, so they finally may be. We'll just have to wait and see.

The one thing you didnt mention really in the video is the most important imo, whether the old rounds will be easily accessible in customs. MT mentioned it in their blog post that they would be in customs, but are they just referring to that one mode "the vault" that has a min player count of 12 and offers little to no variety unless you have a full lobby of 40? I seriously hope they will at least add the old vaulted LTMs back to customs because if im stuck with a roundpool i dont like for weeks, and customs is as dead as it is cutrently, im simply juat going to stop playing this game. Literally the only reason im still around is to play a subset of unity rounds i really enjoy and if i cant do that then there is no point in playing

Good point, others have commented they might make a unity only LTM, but the vault kinda serves that purpose already, since vaulting will be no more it would make sense to add old LTM's back into customs, I guinelely glossed over that part not gonna lie, I'm not really someone who plays customs at all but its still a valid concern, cause it is a part of the game and with this update they could revive it by adding in old LTM's that have been gone due to vaulting.
