Had to get this off my chest. The way gaming has evolved, especially with Call of Duty, is crazy. It's like they know exactly what they're doing by targeting the most loyal but unaware players. And let's be real, the industry is shifting in a direction that focuses more on money than innovation. What do you guys think? Is Call of Duty really unbeatable, or is the whole gaming world headed for a downfall? Let me know your thoughts!

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! I am just yapping around, but it truly hurts my heart to see the current state of the gaming industry.

I am a bit conflicted about the "greed" in gaming. A lot of my favorite games growing up were shutdown solely because they didn't have enough money. So I can't feel too bad as games now have a longer shelf life compared to games back in the day. It's not forced and it's optional to buy the add-on stuff. It's more annoying than anything. But I rather have the game live on... Like I said conflicted

I gotta call BS on the microtransactions. You don't have to buy it and those that do, WANT to. I am playing BO6 and am enjoying it quite a bit. Didn't buy battle pass, no extra skins, nothing only the initial game itself. You guys complain, but don't really use the power you have. We aren't the only gamers anymore either. Plenty of casuals are playing now and guess what, they want the microtransactions. Consumers have a lot of spending power

I get where you're coming from, and I respect that you're able to enjoy the game without engaging in microtransactions. It's true that some monetization helps keep games alive longer, and optional purchases aren't inherently bad. But for me, the issue is more about the impact of these systems on game design and player experience. Even if microtransactions are optional, they often influence how games are structured-like grinding being artificially extended to nudge players toward spending. It’s not always about needing to buy something; it’s about feeling like the game would be more enjoyable if those systems weren’t there. And while casual gamers might want microtransactions, I think there’s a risk of alienating long-time fans who value the days when games offered complete experiences upfront. Finding a balance is tough, but I wish companies put more effort into pleasing both casual and core audiences.

The last Call of Duty Multiplayer I played was Black Ops 3 and my most played one is the original MW2 so I think you can understand my utter shock when I tried multiplayer Black Ops 6. The maps were awful and the micro transactions have gotten beyond ridiculous. So many pop ups telling me to buy weird cartoonish skins. And don't get me wrong I enjoy fun skins in video games but whatever they're trying in Black Ops 6 really does not fit the game's art style imo.

I enjoy skins too, but I don’t care enough about them to spend €20 on one. Honestly, I’d prefer if microtransactions and in-game shops weren’t part of the gaming experience at all. Would it be too much to ask for an option to disable them entirely? They’ll never convince me to spend a single dime on their store-never. What’s frustrating is how companies focus more on updating their shop than fixing the game itself, which is often fundamentally broken. It’s unbelievable. I can’t help but wonder how things might be different if Activision were a European company. I have a feeling they’d have faced lawsuits by now for some of their practices because, frankly, a lot of it feels unethical.

BO6 multiplayer is so bad it's unreal. Played 2 days and that's it, had enough

Awesome video! We need more people like this in the community. I bought game pass and am playing Black Ops 6 but I have no desire to spend money on skins. I feel like they are all way overpriced and too cartoony for the type of game that call of duty is. I'm glad people have started to push back against these copy and paste games like call of duty, because that's why you see games like lethal company or palworld becoming so popular.

If you bought every call of duty after black ops 3. You are part of the problem. After that the microtransactions started to go hard and it set in after the battle royal hype.

I only played the MW2 Campaign back in the days. The COD Multiplayer now is horrendous. Destroyed by algorithms. Cannot be enjoyed anymore, at least not enjoyable for me.

I think gaming is in a awesome spot right now. It's just triple a that stinks. Don't play triple a games and you'll have a blast.
@xreve_8 күн бұрын
I know that triple a games are in a bad spot right now, I dont buy these games since years. Just that I decided, after 10 years, to test a COD again because it is almost "free" - and that was a red flag for me. And I was not disappointed. It is just insane that these triple a companies are getting away with it. And if the Indie Studios follow that .. we are doomed. That is my only concern.

So explain to me how the average gamer like me isn’t a gamer? I’ll wait
@xreve_8 күн бұрын
A gamer isn’t just someone who plays a game now and then-it’s about how much gaming is part of your lifestyle. If you only play 2-3 matches a day and don’t engage with the broader gaming community, culture, or even aim to improve significantly in the games you play, then you’re more of a casual player. Being a gamer often involves passion for the hobby, a connection to the gaming world, and dedication to exploring or mastering games. It’s not about gatekeeping-it’s about the depth of involvement. And maybe I did not bring across the point well enough. But how do you describe yourself? Playing 2-3 matches a day and playing 1-2 games a year, or is gaming a real hobby of yours, that you engage with and are passionate about? Because I am ..
@partypoison807 күн бұрын
@ not everyone has time or energy or cares to engage with all that sometimes we just want to play even if it two or three matches a day your still a gamer even if you only enjoy two games a year your still a gamer as long as you are having fun and playing games your a gamer just because you have time to care about “THE BIGGER PICTURE “ not everyone cares they just want to escape and relax and they are just as much a gamer as you
@xreve_7 күн бұрын
Actually, your definition of a 'gamer' is incredibly narrow. A gamer isn’t just someone who plays games, it’s someone who finds meaning, entertainment, and often a sense of community in gaming. For many, it’s a hobby that goes beyond just pressing buttons-it’s about strategy, creativity, and sometimes even career paths (like esports or game development). Calling it 'addiction' is an oversimplification and dismisses the way hobbies can enrich people's lives. Just because someone puts time and effort into something doesn’t mean it’s unhealthy-it’s all about balance. Also, many gamers are deeply invested in their hobbies, just like fans of any other interest (sports, music, etc.). Passion for a hobby doesn’t equal addiction-it means you care. Maybe try understanding the difference before making such a blanket statement.

That’s a lie you only care about making it easier for you to stream and 5 percent easier for you to play. Why do you wanna come in and have a challenge every game no you wanna come in and play against people that are not good That’s why you’re taking About two boxing you think it’s OK for very good players to go into the lowest skill bracket has nothing to do with kicking back on Activision,. It only hurts new players and players that are not good. That is cheating.
@xreve_4 күн бұрын
Where am I lying? I don’t stream, I’ve never 2-boxed, and I never will. There are at least three videos up now, and in one of them, I specifically explain that I understand why some people do it, but I do not support it. I’ve never said I want to play against people who are not good-at no point have I mentioned that. Also, where did I say 2-boxing is okay? That’s simply factually wrong. It’s actually the complete opposite of what I believe. Just because I understand someone’s reasoning for doing it doesn’t mean I support it. I’m starting to wonder if you’ve even watched the whole video, because if you did, there’s no way you would make these claims. It’s a bit mind-boggling, honestly. The claims are just wrong.
