What type of mic do you use? If it uses an aux cable is there any dirt in the aux port? I'm wondering what's causing the sporadic static/popping

I noticed watching back it sounded more headset like. its a yeti snowball through nvidia broadcast to cut background noise since I have an AC unit right next to my setup. I wish I could turn off the AC but its brutal for the next few days.
