There is nothing hard about playing poker. You are just a snow flake that can't deal with downswings. Thats all it is. its not hard to play. I played more then all of you guys combined the last 20+ years and it put me in retirement. I played non stop 2m hands every single year. Was it hard? NOPE maybe when I was sick or had headache ya or when I played heads up against a end boss and we had crazy 50k hand battles. Players in 6 max are azz players. They are not good except very very few. But other then that its easy peasy. Go do insulation work on construction job like i did for 3 years then you will know what real work is. Playing online poker is the easiest job in the world today. I only trained hand full of people that begged me to train them, all of them from micros to midstakes are making big earnings every year. They all make more money then anyone in their player pool. Its easy. You just have ot sit in a chair and click a button for 6 to 8 hrs a day. They have no issues playing a few million hands a year. None of them have quit. They have no issues vacuuming in money every year and know the downswings are not a big deal. You should be only taking off one day a week or play the entire month and take 4 days at end of the month. You guys want to go meditate and go out and party you wont make it in poker. You guys are just lazy saying its hard. It is not. It if only hard if you believe it is. When you play learn to relax and just have fun regardless if you win or lose. it supposed to be fun not this nonsense being depressed about it. Play music, get a good comfortable gaming chair, take a shower before you play etc. This is not rocket science. Online poker is easy.

It was amazing to hear your story, buddy. I'm watching lots of poker content, but know that I don't have much time nor perseverance to play myself. I'd rather contemplate others grinding and project it on myself. That's just enough to fulfil my gambling desire and to get back to life. In that regard, the name of your channel speaks for itself: your poker content is super positive, as it permits me not to get to a big negative by gambling :) I chose you and few other youtube poker grinders, and you were my most favourite one. I did know nothing about your background, apart you being an amazing poker player with brilliant logic and super smooth reaction on the worst bad beats, but I was constantly wondering who you are to be able to take these losses so easily (obviously, youtube content is just a fraction of your games). Apart from poker, I really feel you are a very good person, and you can give so much more to this world by doing something else too. Thank you so much for all your hard work in delivering this content. I'll be looking forward to whatever is coming to the channel next, whenever you are ready. I really wish you to find the right balance between the things that make you happy in life. I believe no-one can be happy by always grinding only one thing. It's about doing different ones and finding the right balance that works for you personally. Much love

Ahhh poker, the job that gets more difficult with time. I wouldn't dream of attempting to play for a living. That would just be so much stress. It's a game to be played for fun. If you are good, you will have some extra money. If you manage to maintain obsession for long enough, maybe you can make a living, but it will not be worth it unless you enjoy. Strong decision to quit while you're ahead, also appreciate the transparency and detail from you. Best of luck in your future endeavours.

Your story is very similar to mine. Passion lowers, low variance exploitive style 8bb/100 0 losing months era ends without crazy table selection, Covid isolation and poker becomes kinda depressing and before you know it your crusher friends that sweat you tell you you have fallen behind the curve and need to rebuild your game and bump up volume by a lot. 3bb/100 isn't the same as 6+ if you don't have the fire and passion to study and put in volume, it will only get worse, it's a good call to quit. Twitch Streaming is a grind in its own right. I took a detour into politics and now focus on interviewing people, KZbin content and MTTs, often live, it has a lot more variety, and I hope you continue this KZbin channel in some capacity. Especially since I just invested a full hour of my time first time seeing you :D

You've done everything right! For me, poker is the perfect balance to work. I used to play video games after work, but now it's 2-3h online sessions on 4 tables and usually a little study session. I'm "unfortunately" only a breakveen player on NL100, but that's quite enough for me. I can play enough hands online to still have an edge live - and it would take me years to get to such a high number of hands live. I am of the opinion that most breakeven and even close losing players at the live table are quite profitable with limits like 1/2 or 1/3 and even 2/5. The games are usually much softer and there is often not much understanding of poker at the table. With the fundamentals of GTO and the experience of 150k-250k hands online a year, this edge often makes the difference in being a profitable player on small limits at the live tables. Of course, not only GTO can be applied here and you should adapt your playing style, but with the right bankroll, almost all of the online players mentioned are profitable in the long term.

Thx for the honest video. I watched like every video of the 10$ to 10k challenge last year, it was so chill… just came back after a while and found out you‘ll quit. Wish you good luck for the next phase of your life mate! I‘ve heard somewhere that about every 7 years there‘s a bigger change in a life. Could be a change in personality, big change in your job, even buying a house or just deciding to do fitness. But about every 7 years there‘s a big change. I‘m a bit in the same shoes as you. Currently working 40 hours as a software developer and studying after work. It‘s a 55 hour work week and sometimes pretty draining but i really like programming, working from home and the flexibility. I also make more income at 24 years than the average income is in my country. But i don‘t know if i‘ll be able to do it until i‘m old. Definitely will finish my studies and work a couple more years in IT but maybe a bigger change will come after that and who knows where the future will take us! Maybe your video will help me being able to change my job if it‘s not fun anymore in the future, we should be more open to try new things out and money is not everything.

Being an older person who's always had poker for a side hobby, with family and a full time job, who has tried a couple of times, unsuccessfully, to turn it into something more, I have my own take on what it takes. The simplest basic needs off the top of my head are : Passion, Time, Peer group of like minded people, Health and Diet, Mindset, A Coach and i'm sure other stuff. Definitely believe you need to play live an travel as well when you get to a certain point else the online grind is like a glorified higher paid desk job in many ways. Online poker is a battle of the bots. Whoever creates the best bot ring that goes undetected wins. I bet 99% of people can’t beat acr 12NL cause it’s filled with bots, or at least it was 6 months ago.

I hope not, that would be a sad reality.. and online Poker dead. On italian Sites there we're some cases, but Stars seemed to have it under control until now. At least I hope so again. 😅

@@PositivePoker72 I think online apps should have a built in solver. And everybody can see what the optimal decision is and can listen to it or not. Then people learn gto by playing online and how they can exploit. Then sites can spend all their time looking for collusion. Idk if that is a realistic option or not. I liked ur videos a lot btw.

Good point, haven't even thought about that. I checked the DB now, the difference is 1.5bb/100 in Rake.. Tables usually are still way softer on NL100 so still a lot of Variance inside there I guess.. Should still beat it for good, I had always higher Winrates on NL100, that's where I played by fart most volume the years before. 😅
