Try some SolarFlux on the backside of the hard to back welds. It’s a powder that you mix with Methanol to make a paste. Protects the backside and it was cheaper than purge or having the sugaring rot out because the chromium is burned out.

@johncampbell44984 жыл бұрын
Hey buddy, the problem you have with the airflow .... i will bet on it - is that snorkel design with the swirler is costing a lot of pressure drop at high flows, the pressure loss of a swirling/spinning up flow increases losses really alot (it follows a or on factor x quadratic law) - if it is 4inch dia. and you have no sharp bends, then it should be fine without any swirler. Go ask the supplier if they have actually flow tested it at the engine flows you are running, if you tell me the Dyno power and the AFR then we can work that one out. It might look cool, but unless you are actually driving across a river, a snorkel is at best a useless thing and like yours where an aerodynmics engineer has not designed it, then it is just a stupid penalty just another aftermarket money con. I am 20 years working as an engine flow simulation engineer, and it is incredible how these design flaws still make it thru where no effort is taken to either do proper simulation or proper testing. My guess is that at some moderate anticipated airflow teh swirl might have been considered to help, but the behaviour runs away at higher flows. If you are running a diesel engine it must breath about +50% more air for the same power as a gasoline, perhaps the supplier got their calculations messed up or test flow wrong. Generally Swirl is a Loss feature and you pay for the penalty if it serves some particular purpose, e.g. centrifuging particles in a cleaner/separator.

@Churchys_adventures5 жыл бұрын
It represents heritage not hate. It was a gift from friends in the South. I do not support white supremacy and the assumption that that's all the flag represents is in-correct.
@yermoffroad2 жыл бұрын
@@Churchys_adventures it may not be "all the flag stands for" but when it's flown next to the nazi flag by the kkk and has been used by almost every single pro segregation group since the Jim Crow era in the us as their flag, you should see why most Americans think this flag is a symbol of hate. I'm not necessarily one of them but your defense of flying this flag on your wall could be used with the nazi flags. They do represent more than just white supremacy, and thinking so is incorrect.... Ps I am aware how old these comments are. I do know I'm insane for wasting my time commenting on one this old.
