I agree have been trading for over 25 years only became consistently profitable when I traded the daily charts, I would love to trade intraday but could never get consistent in profits only in stress! Like you now 15 minutes a day which is hard when you love trading and want more involvement
@DesireToTRADEАй бұрын
Definitely looks cool to trade intraday but I’m never going back to it lol. Thanks for the comment!
@CsondesMateHUN12 күн бұрын
One of the biggest, if not the biggest step I took towards being profitable is switching to the daily chart, specifically end of day trading, only taking a look at the market and placing trades, when the daily candle is about to close. I could never go back to intraday trading.

Yes. I trade in D1 only, enter manually and exit by BOT. It's really a "Set and Forget" strategy.👍

At which daily time do you control your charts?
@gogo12ableАй бұрын
yep i really experienced big changes and more improvement on my trading ,when i started using bigger time frames and especially daily chart, also declutter screen with only candlestick chart and only one indicator like Bollinger bands , a couple moving averages but way clean

do you trade with hard stops?

I'm a fan of the Daily Charts, however, I do like the "action" of being in the market, with the shorter time frames. Nice video Etienne, thanks for sharing.

Fair point. Glad you liked that one!
@Marcus-dw5lyАй бұрын
You " like the action of being in the market ", but are you consistently profitable, though? That's the logical question.

Would to ask . Is only 1 time frame of Daily chart ?
@Marcus-dw5lyАй бұрын
Facts. Also, when you have a profitable edge in the market, you only need to stick to one instrument or market, and all you have to do is increase your position size with that one instrument or market. Thats it.
@mrpickle23Ай бұрын
you'll always get a better entry on your swings by trading the daily but entering/exiting intraday

When I started trading I was on the 15-minute time frame, Michael always insisted on trying the 1-hour time frame and I was very reluctant, finally, I did and saw my progress, then I moved to the 4 hours and voila! now I am trading the 4 hours and Daily, and I am loving it, you are very right E! Thank you for your honest videos and teachings! I hope you and Mike have a great time in Thailand! Cheers!

My favorite time frame. Candle closes at 2pm over here in California. I could be working and check the charts on a little break. I love it.

Can anyone explain their top down analysis with the Daily chart in context. I feel like I'm missing something, and I cannot put my finger on it thanks.
@DesireToTRADEАй бұрын
@@diversekinship Personally I don’t do top down analysis when trading the daily chart. I evaluate the market context and take setups accordingly.
@MeThokozaniАй бұрын
Daily chart is much cleaner. When you spend enough time on the chart eventually you'll understand how price moves . Your perception of the market will be personal. You will end seeing obvious things which were always there but couldn't see before. But mostly it all about the price.

I'm profitable trading the daily chart with my own account, but to trade for prop firms with a trailing 5% daily stop loss trading daily time frame doesn't work as your risk will be too high.

If you don’t trade too many assets and stick to a low risk per trade, I see no problem with prop firm rules.

@doesntmatter5704Ай бұрын
@macster1613 the video had a purpose and many on here appreciated the effort to create the video. There was no promise of “sharing of knowledge”, the video was created to provide information on why he trades the daily time frame, which he clearly stated his rationale for doing so. Is there something you didn’t understand about his points? Sometimes it’s better to keep your comments to yourself as opposed to proving your lack of comprehension.
