Why I Quit Diablo IV

I gave up on Diablo 4, and it's basically because I didn't like the experience I was having. Baldur's Gate 3 console release is coming, and I think that's more my style. Anyway, here's some thoughts on Diablo 4.

The always online requirement is a huge negative for me as well and I've been playing the Diablo games since Diablo 1. It's a real shame.

YES! It's so brutal to hit that random disconnect, a total frustration.

Not to mention that once the server goes all the progress is gone too. Our Diablo 2 saves will be there forever

honestly, complaining about not feeling engaged while playing on the easiest difficulty rings somewhat hollow... other than that, sure i can see your complaints

To play devil's advocate I don't think it changes the gameplay loop too much, it essentially gets just as easy when you're fully geared up aside from crowd control and Uber Lilith unless you have a really sub optimal build, this is coming from somebody who played 500 hours and is taking a break til next season lol

I hear the listening to podcasts but i do that with any game that isn't a pvp or fps experience

Depends on the experience. I do it if it's a game without story and is more about gameplay like a racing game, sports game, or anything of the sorts. If there is story, I wanna pay attention

I didn't quit Diablo 4 but i didn't play ider :) . I am an old diablo fan and i hope they will fic the game as they can't afort anotehr fail. Even if D4 sold very well no one will buy cosmetics if the game is as shit as it is. when the game is somewhat fixed il go back.

good riddance i deleted everything on d4 a few days ago .i played diablo 4 since july this game is garbage, made wiz to 100 and dying fucking non stop. shit game.

@@nopnapnarp8047 Baldur's Gate 3 is a CRPG. Amazing game, but completely different genre. It's more exploration, with puzzles, creative problem solving, and in depth character interactions. You can also do wonderfully crazy things that break the game, but the devs just want players to have fun. Diablo 4 feels very much like devs vs players, it's weird. For ARPG PoE 2 looks like it will be amazing. Armored Core 6 is probably the closest I can think of released this year. There's also Grim Dawn and Last Epoch. Hell even Diablo 2&3 are more fun than 4 is. It's just so bland and shallow.

Thanks for taking the time to leave some suggestions and feedback. I never have had a gaming PC so CRPGs and even ARPGs are fairly unexplored territory for me. I dabbled a bit in PoE 1, but never got to far into it. Maybe I'll have to revisit it some day.
