Hey yo! So I made a 5 star troop . It basically gives a hero about 775 more armor and 750 more hitpoints and you get mana regeneration 2 percent slower plus you get a perk like 8 percent more on buffs or 15 percent chance to crit . Level 29 is good 30 only gives you 1 percent more hotpoints . Your not worthy. Keep in touch and be safe

Totally agree with everything you say..... but. I have been playing almost since it began and I admit spent money which would have been better spent elsewhere. So I stopped paying a few years ago, I left my alliance and went solo. I now enjoy playing because I don't care if I lose a war, or cannot complete a quest or beat a four star titan. The fact is their are people playing who don't care how much they spend, don't try and match them. Play for the fun of it.

@@catherine8470 I think their business model is particularly bent on NOT being fair so they make their money. Notice how they make certain challenges with certain heroes that have an advantage to that particular challenge? 3* and 4* wars will never happen, ever. I don't do wars so much now because I don't want my life schedule being tied down to a game.

I just got back into E&P and I still enjoy it. I refuse to spend any money on it so maybe that takes some of the sting out of it, but I still have fun playing. After all it is a game. I probably spent maybe $200 when I first started on VIP memberships, but I swore when I started again not another cent. Most of my heroes are classic heroes, but I got lucky a few times and the soul exchange helped me get a couple more. I still enjoy it though it doesn't rule my life. After all it is just a "game". I've always liked your videos so thank you for that. The advice has been great.

I used to play this game over 4 years until I quit because of frustration. The top was after 107 pulls still didn't get a 5 Star hero, even none hero of the month! So I get so angry and annoyed of that money sucking game, that I deleted it from my phone and never gave a thought about it. This piece of shit of a game really can make you addicted to be honest, I spend a lot of money and time into it, but at least for nothing! Now since I quit this game, I have a wife, three healthy children (we became twins), a house and I would never waste my time for such a shitty game, just living for my precious family and I don't regret, never!!!❤

Thank you for making this! I still have my account active, but it’ll be any day now after I say goodbye to all my alliance. I play Gemstone Legends now, and it’s everything EP is not, it’s fun, it’s got devs who LISTEN, they support the content creators, the event are actually manageable for me, and I’m F2P, and they only release a new hero every once in a while (once a week at most) so it’s easier to stay relevant. They have a mercy system in place, you can wishlist specific heroes which will guarantee you’ll get them, and not being top 10 in the arena doesn’t cost you many resources (I stay comfortably at high silver or low gold and I’m good). Anyway, good luck on RAID, and being a “survivor” of E&P myself, I know what a relief it is to leave it behind lol!

You're the reason I started playing raid shadow legends years ago. I recall at the time you mentioned the game so I decided to try it out. I was doing the whole thing of not giving Small Giant any more money. There is a ton of things you can do in Raid without spending money although it can be a bit of a grind.

As someone who started playing in mid-2019 I have to say Anchor is not wrong on any of his points. I love the game, and I will still play for awhile longer before I retire, but it's because I am in a very laid back Christian alliance where nobody has the latest and greatest, not every titan and war flag gets used, and yet wars still get won, and titans fall plenty often for me. I started playing this game w/5 specific goals in mind since day 1, and I've completed 4 of them and closing in on 5. This will be my last year, and 5 years is a long enough streak.

With this game, Mick Jagger said it right "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you get what you need". You may not get the heroes you want, but you will get the heroes that can do the job. If you put enough time into this game you can beat the campaigns with just the stranded legendary heroes. I am frustrated by this games greed and pop up ads as well, but I still love the gameplay and artwork too. You can have fun with this if you treat it with a casual game and take time with it.

Last year, I rode the raid leaderboard to #1 set there for an hour and then deleted the game. Best decision I ever made because with all that time and money I was wasting, I then was able to start my own business and drastically improve my life. Glad to see you are doing well and streaming again. You're right, the game has way too many 5 star heroes and most are very difficult to get. Balancing heroes through costumes is a very nasty thing to do to the player base, players have to spend a ton more to chase after the balance that should have been implemented into the base hero. The 5 star troops and their specialization forces players to level multiple 5 star troops of multiple colors just to cover both. It just isn't healthy, and frankly I only see them losing more players. You are also correct about the player loyalty to alliance members, I am currently in this situation, but I have also significantly reduced my interaction with the game. At some point enough players will leave which will cause a massive exodus.

I started E&P in 2018 as no pay. Soon I admit, it became addicting, I joined teams and had to get stronger, so I started paying. I never went too nuts, but for a freaking phone game, it was nuts. For nearly 5 years. Most of the things you mentioned ticked me off too, and I almost quit so many times, including still going on once a day just to do basic stuff and not pay. Then I would cycle back in, start paying to stay relevant. This week for the first time since I started, i haven't logged in in a week. On top of everything else, there's so much going on in the game, and NONE of it is worth doing. No hero is worth maxing unless you go all the way with it, omega break, and by the time you decide who to use, they've become obsolete. And unless you pay, the ascension items are almost unobtainable. And say what you will, but odds of pulling quality items and heroes have become extremely low, and I say this as a regular summoner all these years. I quit all alliances, tourneys became useless so I quit them. After reaching my budget for last month, the obvious hit me... why I am paying for crap that I'm not even going to use for the fundamentals of the game? FOMO? Hoarding? It sucks because this still could be a good game. If they absolutely stopped the pointless nerfs and buffs, that would be a start, because they don't even try to hide the scam. It was fun while it lasted, and it is hard to quit after dedicating so much over the years. This is Sagan's Cosmos, logging out.

I began to see similar things that you discuss in the video. Honestly, I came into this game empires and puzzles through JustPlay. There are a few levels that you get yourself through and then get real money. That is JustPlay. Currently, I am at level 17 and going to reach the level 20 for the last level that JustPlay gives the money back for playing empires and puzzles. I do not like games that you invites you or that you have to (kinda) spend money to advance into the game to be fairly at a similar level to others. I mostly do the campaign, the titan battle and upgrading the buildings. I don't do raids much and I do not participate in war games. That's pretty much it at the moment. Empires and puzzles support team did me dirty because of some glitches in the game when they released the mistic summon, click to watch the ad for free and they charged me 300 gems. Didn't happen just to me but also to a couple of my members in my alliance. Went for support a nd after giving them all the info they needed, credited me with a female avatar(useless) in my inbox. This happened twice to me, the 2nd time click on the mistic summon to watch a free ad and it charged me 150 gems for a 1*

Everything you said was true, except for point 9. 5* troops use iron (and emblems) to level up, meaning your ham is untouched. Also, troops are one area where E&P did a massive qol, not only reducing the production time and resource cost to make your troops in the Hero Academy, but also lowering the ham cost while raising the XP gained on 1-4* troops. It was the best change they ever did. I've played since Khiona was hotm and spent the last 6 months of 2023 trying to get my first set of lv 29 mana troops. Thanks to the change, I not only have my lv 29s, I was able to max 2 5* troops, and raise 3 crit troops to lv 27 and 28 so they can be converted later. You don't even NEED 5* troops, and in most cases they're the worst option. In terms of mana, they're worse than mana troops and much worse than magic / styx troops.

I look back at how much it cost me to level up my troops and everything that was invested and return I got. Someone fresh can download it and get there 10x faster. Did they do anything for anyone who spent thousands and wasted so many troops? I’d wager to say doubtful but would have been also an extremely important part to QOL. And it may seem like a positive update now but just wait until you have to level a troop for every single different type hero…when before you could have just leveled up a single set. What they should have done is that QOL update 4 years ago when people complained about it a ton then, so when new styles of troops came out it wasn’t insanely difficult to level ups

@@AnchorGamed I had 5 level 5's waiting for gloves, for four months! They couldn't move from stripe 3 to 4. I had 5 level 5's waiting for a tome of tactics for 5 months. They couldn't go from level 4 to 5. So I had level Fives. I just couldn't develop them. As the months passed, I slowly stopped buying. Until I put NO money into the game. I was not going to pay for the game's rigged algorithms. I told support. They politely told me the developers consider the algorythms fair. I'm no chump. I know when a game is rigged. So I decided to NEVER play that game again. It's a rip off. If you let it be. They don't care about customers. They just want to haul in as much money as they can. But I think that will backfire when customers leave. I deleted when I thought of the old saying, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." I am NOT going to allow myself to be treated that way. I had fun. That stopped. So I permanently left.

Although I respect your opinion, I do not share it. You make it seem like the players are victims in the whole situation. I do not think that is the case. They can only get money out of me if I gave it to them. I set a budget and I stick to the budget. I like the game. It is just a game. As long as I enjoy it, I’ll keep playing it. I also happen to have a good alliance with people from all over the world. We foster camaraderie. The social aspect of the game makes a difference. In regard to the content creators no longer creating, well they also have motives and their motives. They move to create content where they can receive better benefits. Some advertise a different game while publishing content for this game. Others just move completely their attention to those other games. And That’s ok. No need to bash anybody for one’s decisions. I enjoyed your videos when you were committed to the game. That was a great ride. So long as you will be missed.

I think you totally missed the point. Even in your set budget, you get the heroes you wanted....the new powerful heroes, then they get nerfed making them virtually useless. You don't get your money back, the time or resources spent into maxing that hero. This is basically theft by deception.

My only major problem with the game is that there’s little to no point in obtaining more powerful heroes because you will always get matched against people in the same power range. As a noob you feel frustrated because you can’t even charge heroes before you die, but the same thing happens at 3200 cups. This makes alliance wars the only worthwhile activity in the game, because at least in alliance wars there will be weaker opponents who you can beat most of the time. Of course depends on your alliance.

When I started midway through Season 2 I could actually compete. It took almost 2 years but even as a F2P and some luck I actually got into top 100 a few times and topped out at 52. Now I'm lucky if I can break 2800 as I just cannot compete against 2LB heroes with 5 star troops. Even with a decent board it's extremely difficult. It just sucks all the fun out of the game and as the video mentioned it's not like hitting a Titan is exciting anymore...it's just part of the grind. The only thing that is fun is War since it makes you face off against similar strength teams.

I have played for about four to five years and still enjoy it. I've spent around $200 in that time although nothing for ages, and frankly don't need to. There are enough regular events and pull opportunities that you can build a good roster without spending. I think that is where most people get upset - they over spend and feel bad which turns into resentment.

Same reasons I left one year ago (minus the 5* troops which came afterwards) after playing several years at a very high (and thus extremely expensive) level. I still hang out with some of the cool people I met through the game. Some are still playing, some are not, but yeah, you can still hang even if you don't play the same game, so it is much better to just quit E&P. And indeed, nothing that has come out since I quit made me regret my decision, quite the contrary.

I'm still playing and I haven't spent a penny in well over three years. I don't even have a current credit card, etc. registered with them. I stopped spending money not because they were nerfing overpowered characters but because they were (and are) releasing over powered characters in the first place. I would spend time and some money (probably around $100 a month) to build up my team only to have a couple of people get a brand new character that, at level three, could basically destroy my fully leveled up four and even five star characters - and they are still doing that. So I decided I'd keep playing just for a boredom killer but no longer care about building my team up except with things I can get free. My main team is pretty well stuck at just over 4100 in power rating (my other alliance members quit playing or left so I am my alliance) while there are now teams that are well over 5000. Oh, well - it is free entertainment for me at this point and they will never receive another dime of my money.

Thank you for coming back and making this video Anchor. Old Cynic recently announced he's done with the website and has handed it off to someone else. As for me, the last reason hit the nail on the head. I've spent too much to walk away at this point. As for my guild, we've been playing together for at least 5 or 6 years. But honestly I could leave them, it's just the roster I have now keeps me cruising through the content. I play many other games though, and going back to E&P for wars and quests is harder than it should be sometimes.

As for number 9. The new 5 star Troops are super easy to level and the pull rate is 3% They also lowered the resources needed to raise the other troops. So in theory if you spent 100 dollars to get 100 pulls, you should get 3 of the 5 star troops. Also to level those troops you don't use food. You use the iron ore.

I started playing the game 6 months ago and im pretty caught up....I totally agree with some of this stuff but for me the game is about fun and passing the time. I dont devote my time to summoning because the odds are pretty stupid but i will do about 20 pulls a week and i have a BUNCH of the top heroes, and quite a few maxed. It really helps to be in a chill alliance where there is no consequences when you miss a war hit or titan hit. We all love the game, but dont take it so serious that we get mad at eachother for missing a titan hit lmao. Thats the problem nowadays, people take the game way too serious. As for the 5* troops, i completely agree. I hate them and will NEVER summon to get a bunch or waste my time converting them from level 26+ troops. They are a ton easier to level up however because they use iron and iron isnt used much and is way easier to get than ham. I have one that i got from a free pull and its at level 16 with ease. I came in to the game knowing it is just about money but it doesnt really bother me because i am in a chill alliance and i dont spend a ton of money on the game. I dont play for free, but im not spending $1000+ a week like the top players. Even if Gestalt, Aramis, shaal, chang'e, quinn etc become irrelevant to the top players it wont really matter because they will still be usable to ME...

Great video! I agree on most things you say but I disagree on the hero collection. You say: "You can't even collect them at a reasonable rate." - My point is, that you cannot upgrade the heroes at a reasonable rate. Even though I gained 5*-heroes only by summoning them with that 1 per cent rate you mentioned, I still have too many 5*-heroes to be able to upgrade all of them. It took me about 9 months to get Richard from 2/60 to 3/70. In that time, I summoned about 7 new 5* heroes who are now useless for quite some time until they have "eaten" enough of my 1-, 2- and most 3* heroes to be able to compete in raids.

I totally agree and respect every poimt. Id however venture a guess that the biggest triggers for oersins particularly high level leaving waa lb2 and troop5. These things coupled with power creep ans as you said the inability to retrieve lb2 aethers are nerfing the atringest players and alliances form the ability to have multiple teams and options at the highest power levels and so they have been nerfed, thier response is what it is.

Agree with much of what you said. E&P have received $0 from me, and I've played since the game's inception. I can't justify spending anything on a game like this. Sure my hero team might be weak, but my money is precious, and I have much MUCH better things to do with it! Those that wish to spend mega $$ on it, power to you. My Alliance is pretty open, and doesn't take things too seriously. You do what you can, but they all realize that some of us have families and lives outside of the game. Does this mean wars & titan battles are missed, and thus lost, sure, but they don't crucify you for it - and that's how I prefer to have my games! Cheers.

I paused the game after 6 months because I became too addicted and the game stole too much time out of my family life at the end of 2018. I resumed my game at level 21 in January 2023 (all the kids are living in their own households, now), but I'm on the brink of quitting again (now level 38). I have never spent a single penny on the game but time is valuable, too. And the game tries to force me to spend loads of time on screen: Wars, challenges, quests, tournaments, bounty chests, titans...Alliances earn you better rewards but put a lot of social pressure on you. Heroes are spammed out like mad, it's impossible to keep up with their abilities and (dis)advantages. Even though players progress, the game doesn't get easier and it keeps demanding more and more of my time. I'm probably gonna have to stop the game soon. I have a 10-hour workday, during which I don't allow myself to start the game but the game keeps eating most of my leisure time.

I quit at the beginning of this year. Without paying tons of money you don't have a tiny chance. Alomst a year ago I started Bloodline: Heores of Lithas. I focus on that now. You can have ALL MYSTIC heroes you want without spending money. It's very varied and there are many things you can do. You earn Diamonds enough just by playing the game. You can pay money but you really don't have to. E&P needs to change at lot I think.

I could not agree more with you!! But I still play this game... My wife heard part of your video and aksed me why I still play this stupid game, and I really did not have an answer for her. I have been playing for over 4 years now and I can remeber when I knew evey 5 Star Hero Card by name and had almost all of them and it was not unreasonable to want to get them all. Don't get me started on all the nerfing of good heros... They would even go so far as to have a portal for a few extremely strong heros and once the portal closed, they would nerf the hero's that pople just paid good money to try and get the day before. So craszy! The last year plus has just been a BIG money grab by E&P. Like you said they have done nothing to make everyday play better. We have asked and asked for higher lever Titans, but we get none. No one asked for 5 Start Troops, just another money grab by the developers. Like you, I could go on and on!! I guess I keep play because of all the money I have spent on this game. I just feel like I need to "recoup" my investment, but that just leads me to spending more. I stopped playing for nearly a year and recently started playing again. It's even worse. The new heroes are over powered and impossible to beat, endlessly healing, stealing power and no meaningful changes that change the user experience. Just a bunch of money traps. Make good heroes, don't keep makong mediocre ones and sell players ways to compensate. The ham limits are bull. The hero limits are bull and yes, everything costs so much, why make such low limits?! Good for you.

The real reasons today to drop it just now: - there is no tactics in game from cartoon 75% all-immune ability, just pure damage-trash; and the new costumes will be even more killing for tactics, with mirroring all negative, - war defenses are with heal-center with 90%. Even really bad accounts choose Aeron-costume or kunchen, others just a big pain. This means the hell-boring gameplay every-every time; - without luck in summons you will not be even a middle-player. In the game there are 50+% garbage heroes already. Real garbage, with no chances against 2024+ meta`s. When Telluria was, even standart 4* were playable, with Rigard or Boldtusk. But I must admit. If you are lucky (i play without money, and have nautica, 4 goblins, 2 elfs, gastille, 2x gazelle, 3 cartoons and some others), and I have 2x 5 squads in every colour. So with this you will be definitely pleased on tournaments, 1% will be your stable result, and on wars you will be middle+ rank in middle+ clan, with 4 stable shots. But if only this gameplay still your favorite. Because only this is my reason still, to play the game =)

I agree with you. OP heros aside, SG is becoming more and more greedy with money. I understand that it is a business and they are there to make money. They are forgetting about the customers expierece. I downloaded the game as a fun thing to do and dont mind spending some money, but im getting bored with the game. There is no motive to play the campaign. Raids and tournaments are the only fun thing to do in the game. Im going to keep playing the game, im just choosing to spend less money. The main problem for most of the players leaving the game is that they use a lot of money (in your case 20/25 k ) and to stay in the game that is not enough since empire continue to release new heroes. Sorry to see you go. Again. Good luck to you. My personal opinion is that war, titan and tournament are not the same. They are worst too. You can't go mono in war ever again. Tile play went from bad to worst for all of the above. I agree that playing seasons is pointless. Just not enough energy to do playing seasons and to play quest that they put out at unreasonable rate.

This hit on alot of points as to why I stopped playing a year ago. I am personally free to play and this game just felt so pointless. I obtained a whopping two 5 stars in three years of playing. These of course being old outdated 5 stars (Richard and Bai Yang)

We will miss you Anchor … I learnt a lot from your E & P contents at my early stage in the game ..I have spent roughly 4k on the game so far but it’s ok… no one forced me to do it … I did it cause I love the game and I will keep playing until am tired .. Anyway Goodluck on your next adventure.

I am not sure that Number 7 is correct. I am a new player playing since May of last year. I spent less than 10,000 and I have been in the top 100 rankings more than once. Maybe I was lucky.

Spending 10k since May of Last year will get you caught up. Getting into the top 100 in raids is super easy. The cup system sets it up so you really never know who finishes on top.
