I just wanted to say when the screaming tree story came up, I was instantly brought to one of my favorite childhood movies Ferngully and also my favorite comedian and actor in the world Robin Williams! I can recite his lines almost perfectly so thank you for telling that story and bringing back such a good memory. I can only imagine how terrifying that would be though so I hope he is ok.

My mother worked at a women's prison that now sits on a site that used to be a deaf, blind, & orphan Institute (none of those buildings are standing, it just it's old site). She would talk about hearing children playing around primarily in the prison gym or an office at the SHU (segregated housing unit). Occasionally she said you'd hear things on the other units but mostly in those two places. One story she told she was working the SHU one night and she heard a loud bang and the wall vibrated like a vehicle hit the building or something like that. She checked her inmates and they were all sleep, then went outside to check but nothing was amiss, called other units and central control, but nobody heard or experienced anything...so she just went back to her paperwork

This particular collection of stories were some of the best I've ever heard.... Especially the forklift in the security guard graveyard.... As a guy with seven years forklift experience I can tell you it's not the speed that killed that guy it's not having his seatbelt on and paying attention that brought about that tragedy.... Irregardless it is very fascinating and I enjoyed hearing about it....also the mausoleum in the graveyard there have to be a pretty freaky scenario.... It's never a fun thing coming across cultists in the middle of their rituals 😂 Anyway thanks darkness prevails

I enjoyed the last story of 'The Janitor and Johnny' as well, and I guess not everyone is as curious or excited to meet a seemingly peaceful/good ghost as the two of us. XD Tho, as someone who has never had a paranormal experience before, but believes in ghosts and all that kind of stuff. It would be pretty jarring to suddenly realize your coworker was actually a ghost who decided to manifest themselves to you for some reason. 😅

Having learned more about how that "feeling watched" feeling actually works...it's a case of knowing how it works actually makes things worse. If you get that feeling, it's because you've actually seen something watching you with peripheral vision, you just haven't brought it into central concious vision yet for full identification
@ReRe-kr1ht Жыл бұрын
Wait!!! Are you sure, like the most sure you've ever been😭
@jennifersimer2787 Жыл бұрын
I used to get that feeling when I lived out in the country, the only thing that could've been watching was likely a wild animal or insect.
@Servellion Жыл бұрын
@@jennifersimer2787 Part of the "feeling" is your subconcious seeing a pattern of something. Think a similar phenomena is pareidolia. One of the patterns your subconcious looks for is anything that can be percieved as a "face" so an animal, a person, a weird tree stump that looks like a demon crouching down until you shine your flashlight on it. So it can be fooled, it's just part of a visual early warning system built into us.

The orange hazmat suit guy reminds me of a woman down the road from us who developed a total light intolerance from chemotherapy. It went away after a year or so, but she would cover up completely to do anything where even minor light exposure might happen. The exotics vet I used to take my chinchillas to had her own horrifying screaming tree experience. Well, her boyfriend. Read no further if you're sensitive or squeamish. . . . He went to cut down a tree in their yard and sliced right through a chipmunk nest, and one baby. Horrifying, but in a different way. The other two babies and both parents were fine, just maybe traumatized. The boyfriend was pretty upset, too.

Surprisingly believe it or not the people who send in the stories are the ones who use letter abbreviations for names or it’s to keep anonymity for the people rendered to in the story or it’s to help make the story somewhat shorter and easier to read, at least that’s what I’ve heard and gathered from DP and other narrators.
