I've never one time eaten out of the truck stop. Since day one I've always ordered GROCERIES from Instacart or Whole Foods delivery via Amazon. I'm a raw vegan and I still eat that way even on my two-three month stretches otr. Only drink distilled water which comes in with the grocery orders I place and they always bring it right to the truck just put your truck description and parking location in the order details and they'll bring it to you. Be smart out here truckers! Be healthy.

TB you are speaking the truth about weight gain and body changes. I'm not a trucker but I'm a 3rd shift corrections officer who is dealing with a lot of what you speak of. I'm addressing my issues and I hope your trucker brothers are listening to what you are sharing with them.

U shouldn't be having any soda at all. Maybe one a year... Truckers need to demand better food at the truck stops....And also they should be taking walks ...

What's up TB? been supporting you since your container days. Your absolutely right in this vlog. I was OTR for 7 yrs, stopped to do carhauling regionally for the past 2 yrs,and I went from 198lbs to now 185lbs just off that decision alone and it has saved my life. I make more money and I'm able to get by doctors a lot more to maintain my health. Every driver will come to the cross road of money or health, I advise you all choose your health EVERYTIME.

Losing weight definitely is hard OTR but not impossible but it will take some sacrifice. I lost 50 pounds on keto combined with the portable x ciser which is a portable stepper 45 mins of burst training 3 times a week burns calories up to 48 hours which is what I recommend.

It’s not only the food that will take a toll. It’s the inconsistent sleep times that will wear your body out. Not getting enough sleep. The solitude of being alone will take a toll on your mental and emotional health. OTR trucking is literally a jail cell on wheels.

This vlog is legendary not only in for truckers but for minorities in general . I’ve been subbed to TB since 2018 for the antics and education but this is by far one of your best videos. We not only need to listen but APPLY most of the information which is easier said then done. I pray peace and prosperity for all those that will apply this info from here on out Respect from CT , TB🤝

I started in 1996, I'm 6'3 and I weigh 210 lbs. Stay active eat one decent meal per day, never snack unless it is fruit or vegetables. I snack on pineapple, celery and occasionally nuts. Drink lots of water, maybe two cups of coffee at most per day and you'll be just fine. Look truth be told everybody's body chemistry is different. You have to be disciplined and you'll have no worries. I may eat fast food once per week, I stay away from fries and eat the burgers any burger from.anywhere without cheese. Just do your best and watch what and where you eat.
@NYC_Royal2 жыл бұрын
I’m not knocking what you are saying but it depends on the person and how much discipline one has. I’ve been in the game for 4 years. I would do squats, I had a dip bar and 25lb dumbbell. I stayed with fruits. I would make a lot of vegetarian meals. Nutribullet is your best friend on the road. Only problem I really had was loneliness at times. It just takes discipline beloved.

I did OTR for almost 7 years. Gave the keys back. There’s no good way to get off the never ending merry go round but to jump. When I got into trucking I was 180 lbs. left at 305 lbs. I got a new job and you’re right I can’t even stand up for long periods. Didn’t realize how bad my health has declined. Keep preaching TB.

Y’all always say you can’t make 100k without hazmat. There’s plenty people working for US Foods, and Sysco making 100k. Most people that say they don’t make that kind of money is because of work effort. when they go home. They just for 5 on 2 off. All you gotta do is just work 6days

I can’t agree to this because it’s all about good eating habits and discipline. Also working out can still happen doing OTR. You can still stop at the grocery stores and fill ya fridge up with healthy eating . Walking and exercising can still be done . Folks just get too comfortable with parking up and laying down and eating truck stop food all day. So at the end of the day it’s all about choices

I’m a former mechanical engineer and I have a masters degree one thing for certain you ain’t making 250k even with a phd that isn’t going to be possible only a rare few this is also the case for tech. You’re only going to make around 70-126k depending on company and contract negotiation you get the life balance but you’ll be mentally unstable with politics and being watched over. You can definitely maintain health that’s true. I do get your point but is OTR really that bad though. 1:10:48 1:11:58 as far as class you’re correct.
