here's some things i want in Valorant - replay system - players voting for a map - a custom map editor like CSGO - a workshop editor like Overwatch - although some might disagree but i think voting for banning an agent cause sometimes some agents are META and playing against them isn't fun ^ "its gonna be bad since stream snipers gonna ruin what the streamer wants to play" also i wanna see what others think

@@freddie4682 I expect to have fun in a game, not to throw. when I play comp I expect to enjoy playing at the best of my abilities and by pushing myself to play as well as I can. it shouldn't make me want to give up or make me feel like I'm working because I'm not; I'm playing. playing seriously but still having fun shouldn't be mutually exclusive concepts but ranked is currently in that state... ideally other people in my lobbies feel the same. of course there's going to be people who play like it's their careers life or death but ultimately treating a game like the game it is will create the most fun and positive environment.

I haven't watched the video yet so idk if he mentions this but another thing that kills the fun of the game is how they've nerfed every agent into the ground. It's clear that this is closer to what the devs wanted in the first place, and it's cool that such a big game studio is still able to fulfill their creative desires. But that is not the game I initially signed up for. All the abilities feel much more pointless than they used to and more than anything, these nerfs instead of balancing the game, make the game "inconvenient". Like the Jett dash timer making her clunky, that one was probably needed but still. And then they'll nerf every other agent again until Jett becomes OP again, then they'll nerf her. It's just constant taking away of agent abilities

I looked over old clips of mine and saw drastic changes between how my mood was in cool moments compared to now. I was just overall exhausted of toxicity, stress and anxiety thinking only to grab the high ranks. I feel as if now I can never see VALORANT the same ever again. I hope the best for it's community and the game itself. but what I can't lie about is that there was so much fun and excitement about something of the game back then

I want strinova so desperately I cannot wait to get this game and play the shit out of it. And yea, valorant feels so repetitive but I dont see a way to fix it (outside of a replay system) aside from fundamentally changing the game. maybe im too used to overwatch but being able to swap heroes in overwatch just feels a lot more refreshing to me and playing omen 20 rounds in a row just to end up picking him again in the next game is demoralizing to say the least. also having a gimmick in the game that isnt just abilities is something I desperately need, and strinova has a very interesting one.

I updated Val the other day to play it with my friend. He enjoys the game, meanwhile I've never been a fan of tac shooters. We started playing a normal game and I had no clue what I was doing and all I was getting were people in team chat flaming me. My friend tried defending me but they just didn't listen. Crazy experience.

once strinova comes out im also gonna play it a lot more cause the skill cap is higher, its newer so not every body in lower ranks are gonna be at a level of past diamonds, and the mechanics seem really fun.

I didn't knew the replay sistem was underutilized in LoL, I almost always use it to analyze enemy plays to not fall for them again, especially the ones they do the first minutes of the game.

Also one thing I see is that Riot doen't listen and care about players. I got banned forever and lost more then $200 because they said I was cheating. I obviously never used any cheat and when I contacted the support they where usless at all. They simply said "you cheated, we canno't show you the proof but you did".

The thing that made me fall in love with TF2, Tribes Ascend, Halo 3 MP, etc and keep being a huge fan of movement shooters was the idea that the community made the game. Player-hosted dedicated server communities where you could fuck around with the same people for HOURS and make friends, alternative game-modes, map-making tools, replay systems (demo for Source). Even Apex, a game which is technically younger, has gone through so many system changes and full on re-inventions of itself. There's regularly floating LTMs and now they have Mix Tape. Overwatch, for all of its problems, also has custom modes and replays. All the notes on Valorant were true for keeping people (especially content folks) interested in the game, but it also is devastating for convincing friends who are new to the game (especially to FPS in general) to play with you. Prop-hunt, rocket jumping maps, Vs. Saxton Hale, and other game modes in TF2 community servers made onboarding new players way easier. They happen to teach things like map knowledge, movement mechanics, and mouse control... but a lot of time that's not the point. By comparison, Valorant DMs put Radiant players against Iron players, quite literally... I get tilted playing deathmatch because even as a kinda mid, gold player who is using it as a means of practicing skills... it isn't FUN to just die without understanding what you did wrong. Was it ping? Was it crosshair placement? Was it map positioning? Was it unlucky spawn because it's DM? Who cares, I'm getting shat on by some dude who plays the game full time and needs to touch grass, you know? And knowing that you're never going to see that player again opens up a whole realm of toxicity that doesn't exist in communities which can self-moderate.

Wow. I was blown away from this video. As somebody whos trying to become a content creator while doing college, I can say VALORANT is so hard with creating new content. I think what makes League so special is the amount of characters that are in the game. Maybe if they listented to the community about adding the replay system would be good, but I think the lack of characters is also another factor to the game. Most of the maps have "meta" agents and I think that keeps the game boring too.

the main reason i never got into valorant is that the combat feels extremely one dimentional, abilities can augment this feeling but they are temporary, most of the time you are just swinging or holding an angle and burst firing over and over again

As someone that has played fps for over 20 years ever since cs needed a physical CD to play up until valorant beta and grinding up to radiant multiple acts, I feel the same exact way. I was always extremely excited whenever any new fps came out, from Overwatch/Fortnite/Apex but not sure if its just copium or not but after a while they all got extremely stale or they introduced patches/changes that were just awful. So far this games been great and i can see myself still having fun for a long while, some things are so ridiculous or overpowered that it feels like the wild west and that's exciting. I saw the Strinova for 100 days video and wasn't too interested yet, thought it looked stupid but got fomo after some of my friends started playing it. I started with no expectations at all, just to shoot around, get off and get back on the valo grind but found myself getting pretty addicted too. The game is literally a franksteins monster mash up of every popular fps game in the last decade and flattened into paper mario (my best compliment) and just damn fun. The fact that I can play "dust2" and "kings row/gibraltar" in a single game is just hilarious. It feels nostalgic because we're already even somewhat familiar with the maps. It's like taking all your previous experience in every other game and having it all come together. After the server was down, found myself literally downloading the CN client and playing on 250 ping just to get my fix. And I plan to play on CN after CBT ends. Like you, i'm a chinese that also doesn't speak chinese so communicating with my broken chinese is just hilarious just screaming HOU MIAN HOU MIAN WO CAOOOOOOOO. Got a lot of my friends to play and they felt the same way, game is just fun. I'm hoping when it comes to competitive, especially in the higher ranks that the fun still stays. I thought I would play the new episode on Valo and grind for rad again but whats the point? People are jaded in both low ranks, high ranks, in rank in general. I'm expecting the same thing to happen in Strinova but hopefully to a lesser extent? This game might not attract that level of toxicity? Who knows. Hopefully get to run into you in game some time in CBT or release, great vid.

I heard that they've been struggling to add a replay system into valorant because of optimizations they made early into development, although I do think it's crazy that they still haven't figured out how to make it work. I've seen in some places they have said they have no plans to make a replay system and other places they say they are actively working on it, so it seems that they don't have very many people working on it and they probably just have people who don't even know there are other people working on it. Of course, I can't say anything for sure; I don't work at riot. On a different note, I still love valorant and enjoy playing it but mostly because I'm still improving and climbing to new heights and somehow I have friends who still enjoy it. I really wish there was more incentive to climb, as it is rather underwhelming to only get a gun buddy. Like maybe they can make special animated gun skins or player banners or something more to make people care. Like if they said that immortal+ players could pick any single item from the store for free, then man would I be on the grind. f2p represent

Valorant's definently rough right now. I've been marshal only since the beta, not really caring for content creation but making some videos here and there. Agents designs more and more make niche things much harder and harder to do. I experienced what felt like was a death of a game for me when Iso came out because of the fact the entire playstyle of needing to hit my singular shot was fucked by this agents release. Luckily he's fallen off so it's still playable but its kinda eh? Game is definently really fun with friends, but ranked (dont even get me started on how bad the map pool is.) is just not the same. I miss s4 league, this new game looks so fun so big hopes :D

Attaching phone numbers to accounts is horrible, so many people I know don't have a phone number (including myself), I see it as a waste of money so when my friends want me to play premier they gotta scrape phone numbers from basically any place they can find. It's a terrible solution. I would not waste money monthly to play this dogshit game. It's still fun when you play with friends, but the disparity in balance between agents, this dogshit matchmaking and these shit map pools make it horrible. Half of the time you can predict the outcome of a match straight out of tracker stats at the very beginning of the game, because that's how terrible the matchmaking is. Somehow a third party application can make a better skill measurement than an entire billion dollar company.

Been saying this for awhile. Valorant needs two things ASAP. Replay system, and more importantly.. A Workshop mode like Overwatch has. Imagine having custom gamemodes, adds so much new content and you only have to do the basework. Riot needs to stop being so lazy.

Is there any example of any game that did not become "stale" ? You mention League and there is virtually very few of the O.G. content creators that still play the game to this day-I'd even argue that League had its golden age of content creation BEFORE their replay system even launched. At any rate, I think it's natural for most people to move on from their games because they simply get bored of them.
