Hi guys welcome to my channel. I am aware this is a bit of a rough first video. I need to figure out a better filming setup and settle on a good editing program. Regardless... thank y'all for being so patient with me; I am sorry it took me so long to finally upload this video. Now that I have a better hang of this I will try to post at least once a month maybe twice, we will see. I have a few video ideas already but would love to hear anything y'all would want me to make a video about.

Good to be here at start. I'm an older guy, mid 70s. I read with my Dad and Mom. I learned bro read sitting in my Dad's lap as he read westerns. It just clicked for me. I was a nerd jock. Swimmer and math major BS and MS. I'd be at a swim meet with a book, reading in between events. Good luck in grad school.

Hey Brady, I heard about your KZbin channel from your mom on my Facebook page. I love to read and always looking for new suggestions. I’m not big on fantasy novels or sci-fi but other than that I’ll look forward to hearing what you think about books that you’ve come across. My all-time favorite list includes cutting for stone by Abraham Verghese, love in the time of Cholera by Gabrielle Garcia Marques, memoirs of a geisha by Arthur golden and pretty much anything by Hemmingway , but mostly the sun also rises. I recently read the women by Kristen Hannah, which is super popular right now and everybody should read it. I also read a book in preparation for a trip to Nicaragua That was extremely interesting because it was written by the perspective of a woman who participated in the revolution to overthrow the dictator Back in the 70s. It was called the country under my skin by gioconda belli. I totally get not having too many people to talk to about books so looking forward to watching your channel

Dune is plain second-rate. It is written by a journalist - once a journalist always a journalist. It is an introduction to another potential human culture at best. There is the Bene Gesserit Way; paradise of the mind; mob, leaders, people; enlightenment; the individual vs hive unity; and the cosmic. "... it's almost impossible for him to see into the giving force without changing into something other than man. For a woman the situation is reversed." Which is plainly utter drivel. And from whence doth the fella derive such a thought, or is it an original thought. Well he is a journalist so it is unlikely to be an original thought - and it isn't...
