Wow! I've been reminiscing of my time in NYC and when I took the "Glam Academy" class when it was first offered (in Hoboken, at The Glam Factory). Her show was still popular then. There were probably 8 of us enrolled in the certificate program. I experienced similar issues you are describing in this video. Kits were incomplete, models were doubled up, smoking while instructing class, certificate and photos were not delivered promptly, dates were rescheduled, etc. I was honestly too nervous to confront her then, because I was fearful of what she could do to prevent my career from blossoming, being a reality TV figure in the beauty industry. I felt very uncomfortable in her environment. What I learned from the class: How to not conduct business. I should have shared my review years ago on a public platform. I thought it might have just been my own personal experience or my expectations were too high. As a beauty business owner of 10 years myself, I can retrospectively see the absence of integrity and the manipulation of naive students trusting their teacher.

I'm so sorry it was so unprofessional. Sounds like she was off her rocker. You should show that contract to a lawyer. She owes you a makeup kit.

You're within the statue of limitations, and small claims is a cap of $3000 in NJ. No attorney needed. If you can figure out exactly what wasn't fulfilled in the contract and what the value of it is, you can bring up a case in small claims. Have all of the evidence of her not receiving or responding to your attempts to meditate. And when you win, she has to cover your court costs. If she doesn't show up, you win automatically.

Maybe if more victims put your money together to sue her it won’t be as expensive to take her to court. Maybe a law student or lawyer count take on the case at a discount.

Same with me!! I wanted to take her to court for a refund as well because I never ever received my pictures she took. The school was a joke all she did was spend hours taking pictures that's all she cared about. She even had a few weird breakdowns during class where she freaked some of out. She never had models and sometimes we would spend 12 hours or more in her class in one day while she was getting her studio ready next door for the pics

Ughh ! It’s crazy because ever since I have posted this, so many girls have come up to me telling me it happened to them too! It’s so infuriating! I still want to take her to court but its been a long time now , almost a year since the situation.

By the looks of some reviews I found and her basically no longer existing social media , she seems to be having drug issues for the last few years , all of her websites seem to be taken down. Many people have had complaints regarding her businesses and lack of professionalism . It seems like after the show stopped airing she has been going on a downward spiral . I would honestly look into an attorney or a news station. Maybe they can help you negotiate/ mediate something without court hassles . You worked hard for that money don’t let some shitty person who made bad choices take it from you for nothing. She’s done it to multiple people and should not get away with it .

Briana Cuesta my aunts a lawyer but she told me that it may not be worth it with all the court fees. None of those reviews were there when I signed up two years ago, it was much later that I started to notice what people said . It’s a shame. Me and one other person was 9,000 alone and the money was spent on either bull crap or vape. Didn’t even have the decency to save aside the money for makeup kits at the least.

Did you ever try going to her house and speaking with her husband or her in person ? I had a similar experience with a cosmetology school . They are over priced and over promise. I regret is as well.

Briana Cuesta weird to say im afraid of going to her house because it may unleash a side of me i may not even have known about? Lol ive sent her multiple messages on texts, emails, even mailed letters and nothing. Part of me wants to go to her house, other half doesnt want to get cops called.

Briana Cuesta I’ve only been able to find one picture of her as of lately and she is NOT looking too good at all. She looks drained, tired, and underweight. I really hope she isn’t on drugs, but after watching this video and reading your comment I wouldn’t be surprised if she is on drugs at this point 🤷🏻‍♀️

She did not know, so therefore did not warn me. She took classes when Alexa still had her show on air and back then classes weren’t held in house they were in a studio. So my friend had no idea and was in complete shock.

You unfortunately didn’t do your research...it seems like she tried to help with Uber but u shouldn’t ever expect someone to do that. You didn’t know the times of class, where it was located, etc. I am not trying to be mean but the stuff you said shows you’re more at fault.

I did do my research first of all and received all my info from a former student of hers. Only problem was she lied majority of the time. I didnt know times and location because she failed to tell me as the teacher is supposed to. I paid her $4500 in advance , her site stated she was located in one place yet her uber took me to her house. She only offered uber bc she spent the $4500 on bullshit and Vapes instead of wanting to refund me when I told her i had no means of transportation to the location that she “ forgot” to tell me about. So before you comment and say I didn’t do my research, maybe you should go talk to the multiple women she’s ripped off and others who have sued her for the same thing 😒

Ya I actually thought it was nice of her to pay for the Uber, idk anyone who would do that. In my experience I'd be told it's not their problem and that I had to deal with it. 🤷🏼‍♀️
