That's amazing your father gave you a great head start with that impressive collection. To me it's not about the money that they're worth but how they make me feel to own them and it's a great legacy to pass on to a relative or loved one. My greatest fear is my collection to wind up in a person's hand that is more interested about selling them for their profit gain or even worse falls into the hands of a crackhead to get a quick fix, when my time comes. I want my collection to go to somebody that really appreciates the hobby. The time it takes to hunt them down the money invested that they know how to appreciate it. Not just to say that you have them but more to say This is my passion and I want this to keep on from generation to generation with the appreciation that it represents What it means to be an adult action figure collector.

It's easy for folk to be cynical, but you and your father are incredibly blessed to have such a strong bond & shared passion. I know a few geeky women who have similar stories of wanting to be part of a hobby with an older relative like a parent or sibling, and I have cousins & a niece who enjoy lots of the same things I do. That's what you do when you love someone. There are too many folk who sadly lack that kind of positive relationship. Will be watching your channel with great interest, hope to hear more stories with you & dad!

Hey Sydney, welcome to the madness. I believe that your videos could be a great gateway for folks to join the world of collecting who might not have considered it otherwise. The robots we love in the style other people might be more familiar with! You should defiantly do a primer on collecting for folks that are new and find the more in-your-face energy common to our fandom intimidating. Also, I really hope you’ve watched Cyberverse. Animated is my favorite show, but Cyberverse is a close second, with many of the characters being my favorite iterations. It’s like a greatest hits speed run with stories inspired by G1, the comics, and other deep cuts. Ignore the trolls!

I'll be 40yo thos year and I am still collecting transformers. my late mom introduced me to the G1 cartoon and it took off from there. I finally completed my movie verse MPM collection by adding mpm-15 2007 brawl.

The G1 cartoon was dumb as hell, but it is incredibly fun and with a excellent cast of lovable characters packed full of charm. I'm happy you found something to love in it. My favorite toy line of all time is MSiA (Mobile Suit in Action), with Transformers Binaltech being a close second. The crown jewel of my collection is the Robot Damashii FAZZ Ver. Ka, I hope to get a display going of Gundam Sentinel. I can't wait to see more of your collection.

I started collecting action figures back in 2016 in 10th grade simply as an anesthetic that prevented me from feeling the emotional pain of a heartbreak from my high school crush who is a terrible terrible person as she not only rejected me but also bullied me for my poor academics and physical condition. So I turned to action figure collecting as my equivalent to anesthetic that released endorphins to counteract the pain of her actions against me

I first got into transformers when I was 8 I played with my dad's ones from the 80s and for they last 10 years I have been collecting transformers and also got really into lego and marval legends. I also make content on my collection I enjoy it everyday. Glad to see there are others out there :)
