Brother, God is FAITHFUL! Just like He is LOVE, He is FAITHFUL! Be direct in prayer and let the Father know what you’re desires are in a wife, but make the spiritual the priority! I prayed for something about three weeks ago and he has me constantly had me praising him for how he made my heart smile with the answer. He did exceeding abundantly above what I asked or thought, but I made His priority my priority and I didn’t have to settle for less 😂🎉

I’ve tried to do a food fast sometimes, there are times I am able to do it well, but there are times it leaves me in pain, but I also wanted to fast over the condition I have aswell. But sometimes it is difficult, i tired to fast other things in my life but I’m wondering if it has the same effect as doing a food fast. I know it’s about denying our flesh but it seems like the food fast is one everyone is doing and it starts to feel like I’m not doing it right, and I don’t want to go through life not able to fast till 6. What should I do?
@AbideInHim10 ай бұрын
Hi I understand sorry to hear that. But yes there are ways around such a thing for example a Daniel fast or fasting in a way where at 12 you eat something light (I the middle of the fast) and then break at 3 or 6 and eat properly. Whats important is what you do during those hours the flesh is being denied what its craving for

@AbideInHim11 ай бұрын
Hi yes fasting is about denying the flesh what it loves, pleasures so it is primarily food and then other things that cause actual distractions like social media etc. And what you do in that time is what matters, the quality, the time you would have eaten - you pray and feast on the word. Yes you can either do a dry fast or with water alone. That's the biblical way of fasting. Hope this helps and this video I made 2 years on the why, how's and when may help 🙏 kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2GmmZKXbNFgoKMsi=fH-ATolatGqDJyUc

Should a fast be a dry fast? Meaning no food or water. A liquid fast meaning only water maybe tea. Or should it be from sun up to sun down and you can eat in the evening? Just curious how everyone fasts.
@AbideInHim11 ай бұрын
Hi it can either be a dry fast or with water only. And yes some people sometimes may do 6-6pm or 6-3pm and eat after. What matters is the quality of what you do in that time of denying your flesh - feed your spirit
@raranerakoma199310 ай бұрын
@@AbideInHim It would seem more people concentrate more on fasting as denying themselves food and drinks only. If I heard you well, you did mention also denying yourself things like social media (cellphone and or TV etc) . Some do say that a person should also deny herself or himself lustful activities like sex during fasting. Please clarify.
@AbideInHim10 ай бұрын
@@raranerakoma1993 hi yes PRIMARILY it is done by turning down the plate. But yes when you also add a social media fast to it, what that's doing is removing the extra distraction or time you could have spent with the Lord.
@AbideInHim10 ай бұрын
@@raranerakoma1993 and yes if one isn't married sex shouldn't be in the picture anyway. But if that's something they want to stop doing or break free form then yes fasting is definitely part of a way to + prayer. For married couples Paul said. It as a recommendation not a law that they abstain for a time together during the fasting. 1 Corinthians 7:5

It may be a particular book of the bible or it may be a particular theme / topic / something struggling with / whatever I need more revelation in.... In order to grow. It's really key to go into fasting with a focus in mind❤️🔥. And it's a powerful journey really because imagine addressing one thing at a time in prayers and study during each fasting..... What do you think about fasting on a strenuous job schedule?
@AbideInHim11 ай бұрын
Hmm i understand but its still very possible to fast in such a case, you may not go 30 days dry without food haha but its still possible. A key difference is not fasting in the flesh but REALLY relying on God for grace, help and strength. Theres times I've fasted i thought i was gonna faint from hunger but i realised its also a mental thing and after asking God for help i actively made up my mind to stay focused and keep busy with other things. Fasting can also be done with water alone or even on a weekend additionally, If you have any health conditions or concerns about fasting while working a strenuous job then that's a whole other thing and where wisdom comes in, one would then need to consult a doctor or intermittent fasting i see some people do. Hope this helps!

Hi sis I think intermittent fasting that's for health or weight related stuff is it? But typically or biblically fasting is denying yourself food from morning to whatever time God leads so for example 6-3pm or 6-6pm or 3 days dry etc there's variety but it's as the Lord leads you ❤️🔥

@@AbideInHim Hello sis! Love the video! I think the actual term “Intermittent Fasting” is weight loss related and health. Last year when I was fasting between those time frames I was not focused on the weight loss aspect, but more focused on fasting for breakthrough, and better communication with God, and spending more time with God, and hearing him, and consecrating myself… I grabbed a hold of the time schedule for the fast, to use to get closer to God. If it makes sense idk…I didn’t care to lose weight my heart was solely focused and purposed for God. Your video was very informative, and it just made me wonder if I should try this way again, instead of the Daniel fast.
