I was vegan for 6 years and experienced all of the same problems. The main issue I see now is that when you are vegan you think:"This is awesome, it's helping me AND the animals, it's perfect!" But then, when you see signs it's NOT healthy for you, you are unable to see it because you don't want to give up this belief. Plus when you become vegan you do "research" but you don't notice that you only look for the answers you want to find, and block out all the rest.

It doesn't make any sense at all to need a middle man, and that's what the animals are in this case. A vegan diet isn't deficient and wasn't the cause of you not feeling well. According to the 2016 statement by the acedamy of nutrition and dietetics (the largest agency for nutrition and dietetics in the world), well planned vegan diets are adequate and can even be beneficial for all stages of life, including infancy, old age and also for athletes. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27886704 You are delusional if you think that browsing youtube and clicking on some recommended videos is guaranteed or even likely to give you a somewhat accurate representation of reality. Doesn't matter if it's about people quitting their vegan lifestyle or something else. People who have issues (that they believe stem from their vegan diet) generally are more likely to give their take on something than people who don't. To suggest that something is obvious whilst not having a broad understanding of the science behind it is naive, dangerous and the reason why myths like "PrOtEin ThOuGh" haven't died out yet. Have you actually put any effort into research and can now support your half baked assumption for us? I almost forgot: What do you think of that alternative? Over half a million americans die of hearth diesease, our Nr. 1 killer, each year and somehow abstaining from eating corpses and drinking cow tit juice must be a problem, but that's not a thing for consuming foods which actually have been proven to increase our risk of chronic diesease.

I think the largest threat of veganism is the greater risk for becoming diabetic due to the fact it's a very high carb diet. Those who are already insulin resistant and go on vegan diet are at high risk for heart disease. The science is very strong that the glycation and oxidation of LDL particles is the ROOT cause of coronary artery disease. What causes this process are spikes in blood sugar due to high carbohydrate consumption. This is why diabetics are at greater risk for heart disease. So not only are vegans placing themselves at high risk for developing metabolic syndrome (diabetes), they then are at risk for heart disease and many other inflammatory autoimmune diseases that come with inflammation of which the root of all this evil is the almighty carb!

I stopped eating red meat in the beggining of highschool (4 years ago) and I am now only eating chicken but i have foubd I have more energy on days where I dont eat chicken, or any meat for that matter. I don't think I can handle a vegan lifestyle due to various health conditions but I am slowly learning that at least now in my life vegetarianism is for me. But I respect anyone who eats meat obviously, there has to be a balance between how much we care for the impact our diets have on the environment and the impact it has on our bodies. What we put into our bodues is up to us and it still baffles me that people judge others on their diets. If your happy go you!!

Try adding fish first (pescatarian) then poultry next (pesca-pollotarian). You can stop there and reap all the benefits of a diet with animal products (B6 and B12, calcium, vitamin D, etc). Or you can continue and add limited amounts of red meat on occasion, but only sparingly.

I swear I ate like crazy, I was gassy all the time and bloated. Spent hundreds on protein supplements and nothing. I started eating meat again. I honestly feel so guilty I’m hurting animals. I still don’t understand why Jon Venus and some other vegan athletes made it.... maybe is just not for everyone 😔.

To assume one type of diet is good for everyone is a naive narrative, to me at least. All of us humankind are unique in our own way. Some people can thrive based on vegan diets and supplements, but some people can't get enough nutrition based on supplements itself. I understand that guilty feeling, but I think it's important to find a middle ground between eating meat and veggies. And to also understand how your body works. Anyway, best luck!

Never been Vegan, but I do want to start tracking down in my country, UK, where I can buy grass fed and humanely slaughtered meat. If the animal has had a decent life, respectfully treated and a calm, respectful, slaughter where no abuse or fear was caused then I fully support that kind of farming. The factory farming industry needs shutting down, not us quitting eating meat, starving ourselves is not the solution to animal welfare concerns. Here in the UK we have now far less slaughter houses and our government in Dec 2018 created a law to install CCTV cameras on all kill floors to stop the horrific abuse of animals from workers. This is yet to be fully implemented. It is really hard to find good organic farmers who have a reputable and ethical slaughter procedure, and to purchase their products. The meat on shelves in supermarkets is almost guaranteed to come with a risk that the animals were mass farmed, fed grain and probably had a really disturbing end to life. Sourcing good meat is my new mission because I will not starve myself or my children, incurring terrible health consequences in the name of an ethical diet. There is LOTS wrong with a vegan diet from carbon footprint to the horrendous health consequences. I believe in balance and think you did a great job with this video :)

@Las Vegan I do! Was quite leery at first... I wasn't really sure what would happen. I'm still just eating Salmon and eggs (still struggling to eat other meat at the moment), but it has done WONDERS for me. What's even more educational for me and my body is how I feel less grounded and clear minded on the days I don't eat any meat at all. I spent years thinking it would do the opposite.
@sharmsoobramoney54325 жыл бұрын
@Las Vegan once again you prove yourself to be a brainwashed vegan. honestly your attitude is so bad that no one would be interested in hearing a word you have to say. so tell me soy boy how the vegan diet is going to be beneficial for the entire planet and how it is going to be applied successfully. Also please explain vegan agricultural. I've explained to you in another thread how vegan farming models have failed but I would like to see you justify it again . It's so ridiculously funny that I would like to let others in on the massive joke. plus explain how veganism is more healthy when 4 out of 5 vegans leave veganism because of health reasons. you do know that there is absolutely no link between heart disease and red meat consumption and saturated fats. There was a really large study conducted recently that proved that in fact it is a high carb diet that contributes to increased risk of heart disease and cancer. what do vegans eat? their diets are high carb and most people don't get their required nutrients on a vegan diet. These are facts. it's been scientifically proven buddy. If you think you can disprove it I would suggest you do so with current studies and reputable sources please dont link biased vegan blogs of vegan hypotheticals lol. you have done that in the past and it's hard to take you seriously if you think a Facebook post by a vegan is a legitimate source to justify your argument.

@Las Vegan you. won't repeat yourself because you don't wish to look stupid. @Las Vegan I told you I would find you in other threads soy boy and I will not stop until you address your comments. I don't care about what diet you eat or whatever ridiculous argument you use to justify it. It's actually really funny to me. I don't care that you stalked me on Facebook or took my pictures to create a fake Facebook account with images of tortured animals next to it. It's sick that you have a collection of tortured animal images and videos and that you would use my images with them and it's sick that by your own administration you made that Facebook page visible to members of your vegan community only. If I ever needed a reason to not trust a vegans intentions you gave me that reason. apparently you vegans like stealing images of women and compiling them with images of animal suffer to look at for your own demented pleasure. by your own words that Facebook page became very popular in your vegan community. ew. .. but whatever I understand that my social media is public and there are sick individuals out there that my use my image for their own purpose. I don't care about that. I do care about why you think you are superior to Africans though. What gives you the right to look down on Africa from your seat of privilege? just because you are vegan ? lmao. I would really love to hear your explanation and I won't stop confronting you in every thread you comment in until you do address this. people should know how judgemental and devious vegans are.

However after using extremely natural products, like toothpaste and skin care, I noticed my teeth starting to turn yellow and stain (no joke). I thought I was going crazy. My face also started breaking out in horrible pimples. I’ve NEVER had bad breakouts in my life. Finally I said this isn’t working for me. I switched to still natural toothpaste but ones that were sold on shelves (I use Tom’s now and love it). My teeth whitened right up. I switched back to basic CeraVe, dermatologist recommended skincare. My skin has never been better. People told me the zits were merely my skin “detoxing”, but having scars a year later shows that is not true. It was a bacterial breakout that caused my skin harm. I’m thankful that I’m now free from the “black and white” dichotomy of living. It’s good to be conscious and mindful of what we consume and put on our bodies, but if any one person or company tries to claim that ALL of their products are the ONLY healthy way to live, that’s usually a red flag. Hey there, I related big time to your story. I was Vegan for 10 years, starting way back in 2010. But January 2021 I got off the vegan train as well, for health reasons. I was steadily gaining more weight on vegan and felt weak, hangry, and irritable a lot of my journey just from trying to find food and lack of variety in options when I did find vegan places to eat at. And not to mention spending more money per meal when out and about. Since getting off vegan life, I have found it easier to control my appetite and little to no feelings like hangry all the time. Dropped 17 pounds of body weight. Yes the vegan community here also was not the healthiest with lots of water fasting and smoking pot. I'm more on the athletic side, so I did vegan life for sports performance. But after retiring from bicycle racing and finding that my performance on vegan and being upper 30s in age was no longer working, I knew my vegan ride was going to be coming to an end very soon. This is actually the 1st time I'm telling anyone this, outside of my family. Only saying it here since your story is very relatable to mine. @@samanthalotusmastery That's completely fine in sharing a view, although there are so many holes in your argument. With Anemia (caused by low red blood count due to low iron levels) - it is easily solved with including serves of legumes, beans, nuts or seeds. Just a single serve can provide around 30% of required iron levels. With B Vitamins - the only vitamin that could be low in deficiency is B12. If you are low in other B vitamins, it just means you have a poorly thought out diet in general (nothing to do with veganism). With B12 you could just get B12 fortified products (soy milk for example) or of course a B12 supplement if you wish. So the issue you have is with being unable to plan a diet based on nutrient profiles of your food - this has nothing to do with Veganism.

@zirconian19915 жыл бұрын
@@samanthalotusmastery thats correct iron from meat sources has more bioavailability - but that simply means you just need to consume an extra 30-40% of the RDI. Its not a complex issue it simply equates to consuming 1 more serve (assuming you dont want to take a general multi-vitamin, which most people do anyway). Might I also add that there is a limit to how much nutrients the body can absorb. In fact it is proven that consuming nutrients (protein for example, or even iron) over more frequent smaller meals increases absorption.

I agree with the labeling. I've been vegan and have started questioning it for health reasons. So hard to know the actual truth in all of this so if anyone asks from now on what I am, as in trying to put me in a box on vegan or non-vegan I'll say that I'm a truth-ist, in search of the truth

Thank you for sharing your story Samantha. God brought me out of veganism a year ago. I had no health issues at all, I was doing fine all round, but for me when I was saved by Jesus, I was shown I was under an emotional bondage with this diet. I don't eat meat as I just don't want to and have not eaten it for so many years but I am no longer vegan or vegetarian.

This comment actually made me rethink my internal struggle. I am not a vegan but eat mostly vegatarian. I stopped eating cheese because i feel like it is not okay to take away a baby from its mum and i hate the milk industry. But i could become more graceful towards myself when eating fish that is catched in a non damaging way to the environment. Thanks. Its indeed bondage.

Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person.

Were are not all different in terms of our needs, we are different in terms of what we can tolerate. Humans are meat eaters that can tolerate eating plants.
@johnnypenso95745 жыл бұрын
Exactly. The human digestive system is designed to prefer a carnivorous diet. This is evidenced in many ways. We are not hindgut fermenters. The acid in our stomach can burn the chrome off a bumper. Our stomachs are relatively small, the smallest actually, compared to other primates, indicating that we prefer high nutrient density foods aka meat and organs.

I’ve been vegetarian for 2 years and 8 months. I tried veganism for a month and stopped a couple of days ago. I got to a point where I couldn’t stop thinking about cheese. Then it got to the point where I felt as though I was craving smoked salmon which is what I used to eat a lot before I became vegetarian. I am now thinking about going back to eating meat. I won’t be eating it every day or for every meal but I feel as though I want to eat it again. I just feel like my body is telling me to eat it again and I am really wanting it again after 2 years of not missing it at all. I feel like I should listen to my body, thank you for this video❤️

Amazing ! similar to my experience! i was vegan for about a year and then i came up to this channeling of bashar where he said something that "ticked" me. he said "On our world, there is no predation, there is only symbiosis. But on your world, many of the animals are predatory because... you are. There is nothing necessarily "wrong" with it, however it is a reflection. Now, fundamentally it is one of the way that creation has of exchanging energy, in that sense. Again, it depends on how it is done, it depends on the relationship. For many beings that are as you say 'eaten', you must understand that the experience for them is not what you necessarily think it is. They understand that in a very deeply in touch with the fact that they do not end." And that touched me. Next day i was eating meat normally. then i came to understand what you understand, it is a polarity/duality game. identifying with one side while judging the other. there is no union with that dualistic mind-set, only division. so now, i am a vegan meat eater. :D Ty for your share!
@samanthalotusmastery5 жыл бұрын

@vedranav52105 жыл бұрын
yep, we should listen to aliens because otherwise we are not capable of understanding that killing sentient beings is wrong. Bashar is really relevant in this topic, obviously :D. Predatory instinct is very good thing in survival mode of being, and we are not luckily anymore in that position. Now we can finally evolve to more compassionate beings, without relying on our reptile brains :D. Obviously Bashar is very much in survival mode of being :(..Although i like to read all kind of stuff from all kinds of authors, this is really the most stupid thing I heard in a long time-of course that death is not the end, but that doesn´t justify killing somebody(animal is also a somebody) if we don`t need to. It`s not up to us to decide who wants to live and die, we should try to evolve from our predatory instincts and stop using others for energy. When we understand that we will discover new world of more and more love and spirituality.

@l3g10nw5 жыл бұрын
@@vedranav5210 I truly respect your point of view. Please understand that how you live and the principles you belief in will give you the life you have. So ill tell you what I believe in. This is not to convince you. Plants are sentient and alive. They want to survive like every single microbe in this planet. So thinking that killing is wrong would then guide you to a paradox because you are killing little insects and microbes every second. And if you kill yourself you will be killing more. So you'll be "trapped" in this killing mindset. I don't like that belief. I see it like this: we are infinite, multidimensional and eternal. When you decide to 'kill' a being, you will be jumping into a timeline where that being allowed it. So that I am free to choose whatever I want to do while the other beings are also free to do whatever they want. Remembering that we are consciousness, this is completely possible. And it is the only way to have freedom without compromising another being's freedom. This is my way to see life. 'everything exist, everything is real and true'

Wow. It's like we've been on a parallel journey. I was vegan from 2016 - 2017, purely from an ideological/sustainability standpoint. The revelations I've had in the years since were very similar to yours. I went full-on paleo for a bit and then eventually returned to grains and legumes once I learned how to soak them. Gave me (my gut) time to heal and I'm optimal once again, enjoying *cooked* vegetables and lots of fruit. The post-modern culture that permeates the west today suggests that we are primitive, but maybe that term doesn't deserve its negative connotation :) I totally get people wanting to transcend the death-gives-life paradigm and I will never judge or mock people for trying to become their greatest version while promoting a sustainable ecosystem and planet. I'm just not sure that veganism actually promotes those things! Somethings I learned: - Ruminants are mother earth's original fertilizers and are capable of restoring soil health thanks to the fermentation of grass in their elongated GI tracts. This begs the question: what is actually 'sustainable'? How could I be so misinformed despite so much research? Seems fairly rudimentary, but there's so much misinformation - maybe disinformation - out there - If a person has autoimmune issues, there's a good chance it has to do with *improperly prepared* grains and legumes. When consumed over long periods of time, these can cause leaky gut due to their antinutrient content. Goat milk is really excellent for leaky gut, which contributes to a very confused immune system and the creation of antibodies to everything. This is the area I have most personal experience with - Blood type may be a factor in a person's ability to convert "precursor nutrients" into vitamins, minerals, or fats (i.e. ALA -> EPA/DHA) - There isn't just a "dairy industry". Companies like Monsanto (now Bayer) are positioned to continue raking in BILLIONS as the plant-based lifestyle expands to a broader percentage of the population. The skepticism of the *entire* food industry AND the medical establishment are gravely important if we wish to survive as a species. At any rate, I thought this might be helpful or affirming. I also watched your "Decentralize Identity" video, which was deeply perceptive. I find a lot of comfort in seeing others self-edit, grow, and avoid externalizing all of the world's problems. We are an energy source in and of ourselves and energy is never created or destroyed, only transferred :) thanks for the wisdom. Peace to you!

Thank you for sharing your story. I respect everyone's decision to become a vegan for any kind of reason. I also ask vegans to respect me for being omnivorous. Some vegans (especially the new ones) are extremists and treat us meat eaters like immoral pariahs. We are all different and have different needs. Nobody has the right to judge and be mean and rude. I thank the animal who sacrificed itself so that I can eat in the same way that I thank the fruit or vegetable who sacrificed itself so that I can eat. Like animals, plants are living organisms and research has shown that they have feelings too. Let's live in mutual respect.
@ombrettad57495 жыл бұрын
@Mudisuda Raman Why would I not respect a person for becoming a vegan? I would and I expect the same kind of respect from them because I am omnivorous and eat meat. Most vegans were meat eaters before changing their eating habits, they should remember that. There is nothing disturbing about veganism. What is disturbing is the attitude of some fanatic vegans who think that because they have changed their eating habits for any kind of personal reason they are better and hold higher moral standards than people who eat meat. When you dramatically change something in your life, do it for yourself and don't think that you are better or superior for having done so. Judging people for any reason is neither kind nor right.
@ombrettad57495 жыл бұрын
@Mudisuda Raman And yet, most vegan having pets feed them some sort of animal based diet. Where is the respect for animal life and hell enduring animals there? There are victims everywhere. Cutting trees to farm soy that will then feed people is also an abomination. And we need trees as they are ESSENTIAL to our survival on this planet, more essential than animals. So, please, keep on being a vegan but DO NOT preach to me. Do it for yourself and feel good about it but DO NOT treat me like I am an inferior human being. DO IT FOR YOURSELF and leave others alone. Get up in arms for people who suffer and have nothing to eat and for those who do not have the luxury of eating vegan as they have to pay $10 for an apple because fruit and vegetables are more expensive than meat. Get up in arms for the people who would be happy to eat anything that they can grab and that they do not have to dig out of a mountain of garbage. Go out, travel and see in what conditions people live in this world and THEN, only THEN you maybe can lecture me. You will not get my respect if you don't respect me. And please drop the wife beating argument, it's an old one. And judgement of others is never righteous as YOU would have to be PERFECT to judge anyone for any reason and in my 60 years traveling all over this planet I have never seen a perfect human being. And pick your battles and be "candid" with people who do not accept your choice of being a vegan instead of being borderline offensive to your allies. I am done here and will not carry on answering your comments.
