Why I stopped doing yoga after coming to Jesus... (leaving the new age)

I went from new age to Jesus and threw away all the spiritual practices such as yoga, crystals, manifestation, tarot cards, and much more.
I shared a little bit in my testimony about finding god, but in this video, I'm diving deeper into why.

Meditation is a practice that’s done in all religions. I’m Christian and I still meditate. I’m so confused 🫤 It’s helped with my anxiety my whole life. It’s a mindful technique. Nothing wrong with meditation.

i relate sooo much. i was so in the new age that its been SO scary to be bold in my faith + speak out against the things i used to endorse! BUT i think its soooo comforting + encouraging to see HOW MANY peoples eyes are opening to the deception + turning to the Truth

God is the Potter and we are the clay. It therefore stands to reason that it is impossible for the creature, the created, to look within itself to find itself. That's what a lot of people are attempting to do today. Thanks for sharing.

I dont know if it is related or not. But the other practices, meditating to manifest or others seems like too draining. as if we get desperate(as a person/soul) trying to find the clarity amidst all the chaos. A lot is unclear and from my opinion truth must be simple and clear (can be hard to accept but that's my opinion)

Yog pre-dates Jesus by atleast 1,500 years. Least you can do is not call it "new age". However I don't blame you as West seems to have embraced a vulgarized, distorted version of an ancient spiritual practice.

no! i think its better to take the perstpective of alan watts, someone who has studied all religions, he said that we all are one and we all are the universe. there's no other entity than us and we are the god!

you can check subreddits like r/meditation there's a top post which has a person leaving the church just to meditate! haha, and also meditation brings the real insight... Reality is that which relies upon nothing else in order to be known! jesus and other mythics need comic books like bible to be known...

Nope, there's thousands of Gods, most of which the human species no longer worships. For generations people lived like Matt and Kelley, believing with all their heart that their Gods existed. And 10's of thousands of years ago we even worshipped bears. It's time we put all these man made Gods aside and focus on things that truly matter.

I hate to break it to you, but your testimony and coming to Jesus is no different than what people have felt over the last 100,000 years, the only difference is people believed in their Gods and you believe in yours. They felt just as you did when they prayed and believed in the Ancient Egyptian Gods, and you may want to look up the "Children of Llullaillaco", where they did what they did for their Inca Gods. It's time you realize that the feelings you have are just synaptic connections and neurons making you feel a particular way, in which you attribute it to the Christian God.

And they believed in their Gods with as much conviction as you have.
