All humans have anxiety and depression sometimes. hoping for a emotionally perfect life is a waste of time. People need to be 100% sure they have a real Anxiety disorder or clinical depression before going on medication because over prescribing is huge issue in the United States.
@YasmineSDJ8 жыл бұрын
+virtue696 no, not all humans have depression. everyone feels sad but not everyone "feels depression sometimes" because depression is not a feeling, it's an illness. Let's start with that. Second, stop downplaying an illness 'cause you have a personal problem with medication. Many people need medication, and to be honest, the people who question the most the use of medication it's usually those who need it, 'cause healthy people using it know damn well they don't actually need it. People already get in the way of their recovery by second guessing medication use, no one needs your half ass facts to add to that.

Dude you could post a video consisting of nothing more than you running around in your underwear or even just sitting there seeing how long you could go without talking/moving and you'd still have thousands of happy people, you're energy is infectious. It's like with Morgan Freeman with his voice, the man could read the phonebook and people would still be captivated. You're the same way with anything you do so don't stress it.

It does hurt.....to see how beta all these millennials are and blame everything on mental illness. First generation in history where kids have less testosterone than their fathers.
@hannaha43055 жыл бұрын
@@dromadrama8409 , yeah, because previous generations had many young people who didn't have to face the world like we do today, real relationships exchanged with being on social media, we live in a very narcissistic time period, where it matters more about what you look like and how many followers one has instead of doing something useful for yourself and society. Mental illness is real and sadly not treated very well in this country, this young man sounds like he has a mania with depression and anxiety., a very terrible combination to deal with.

I'm so proud of you Damon for actually seeing the therapist. ^^ It can be a hard thing to do - especially with anxiety - but you managed to do that! And you know what ? :) You are capable of doing much more than you think you are able to. Don't blame yourself if everything doesn't go easy. Even if it was supposed to be 5 steps backwards and then just a few steps to your goal, eventually you'll get there. You'll get where you're supposed to be in life. Don't try to push it, everything will eventually fall into the place where it's supposed to be. Don't forget that even through the darkest of times you will always have people who care - people around you and also your fans. :) You don't have to make funny videos or try to entertain us. We are all happy enough to see you and to see that you are doing well

Thank you so much for making this video! It's hard to put yourself out there with mental health but you're sending such an important message. Therapy has changed my life for the better and I think it can benefit anyone. Plenty of people go to therapy just because of a life stressor or loss of a loved one. The stigma that you have to be ill to go is wrong. I hope that some people can change their mindset about this as time goes on.. I'm planning to become a social worker and when I'm a bit older I'd like to be a therapist. For you Damon I think CBT skills and mindfulness will help because I'm right there with you with overthinking. It's tough to break.

I first discovered my anxiety disorder after watching one of your videos discussing your anxiety. I was able to put a word to what I had been feeling for years. 2015 was such a hard year for me in terms of acknowledging my mental illness and realizing I had to ask for help. After constant struggle I'm now on medication and attend therapy and am just so much happier. I think it'd be really great for you to document this experience because it was and still is such an interesting experience for me and it'd be really great for you to talk about this because you have this platform and it'll without a doubt help people. That anxiety video helped me and I can't imagine what a video discussing why it's okay to get help/therapy etc. could do for someone else.

So proud of you and I'm excited that you're taking us on this journey!! I'll always want to hear what you want to say ❤️ Your openness is what makes you different and one of the few people on KZbin who might actually grow me as a person. Thank you for that! Love you!

Canceling appointments and paying fees haunt me for weeks on end. It's so dumb. I had a book rental that I had to return. For some reason I could not get myself to get up and go to the post office. I payed $30 to extend the rental & then I ended up just buying the stupid book for another $30. WHY DO I ALLOW MYSELF TO DO THIS OMFG

Damon, I am so, SO PROUD of you!! You are working so hard to better yourself and I can see how much you've grown already! Keep moving forwards, lovely! You're doing amazing and we'll always be here for you xx

For years I've struggled with my mental illness, and trying to find ways to cope without medical intervention since my mom refused to accept that I was sick and needed help. For years I've watched you on KZbin and your YouNow streams, and I loved seeing you just being you. You've inspired me. Meeting you at Warped Tour in 2014 was amazing and I'll never forget it. Thank you so much for being so open and real about your struggles. Now that my mom can't stand in my way of getting better, I've been scared to get help. Personally, I'm so terrified of getting better. I have this irrational idea that I've built this identity around being sick and if I'm not sick anymore it makes me a liar. (That's how I know I'm really sick... But yea.) I think I'm ready to start trying to get better. Thank you for the years of honesty. I wish we could be friends, but I don't like avocados so I know it wouldn't work... Much love ^u^

I love that he is being real with us. You can see how passionate about this and the anxiety you can see. I speak really fast and rant and ramble when I'm nervous or stressed. I love you Damon. You are such a amazing person. I hope to meet you one day

Damon, I can relate. Overthinking and anxiety has always been a part of my life because I always live in my mind more than I live in reality. I'm very happy that you're back since I missed your content. You're amazing and have been a great inspiration for me to become more open to people outside my mind. :)

I started watching your videos 4 years ago, I always liked how you were so personal at times but also crazy and wild. Your videos are always the best part of my day. I hope therapy helps you, and hopefully one day you will overcome your insecurities. You are my inspiration, stay strong. 💕

I've been watching your videos since the early days and it's really positive to see you open up about how you feel, a lot of people feel the same way but try to hide it no matter how much it hurts, but you're doing the best thing, seeing a therapist, stay strong, ignore the haters.

You would be surprised with how many people can relate with your situation. You aren't alone in your anxiety Damon. Like you mentioned, I'm about to be medicated for my anxiety and depression and I always panic with every psychiatrist appointment. I've been to about 20 different professionals all over the world. Anxiety is a huge problem. Everything you said you feel in this video, a lot of us feel as well. Don't forget that we love you

I love you Damon. Don't be scared to be yourself. When you use to talk about your anxiety it didn't just help you out it also helped your subscribers with anxiety. ..I didn't even know that I had anxiety until I watched your videos and notice the similarities. And now I'm soo close to getting help.
