For open bags i put a dustbag as a liner inside and pull it shut with the strings and tuck the opening of the dust bag down the inside of the bag. You can't see whats in the bag and you cant steal anything without pulling the whole dustbag out. It also protects the inside of the bag :)

I agree Steph on bags which don't have zippers. I don't even contemplate buying. I have too many pretty items I'm not ready to lose if I lay my bag down sideways and the contents tip out. Always have and will love a structured bag with weight. Fendi is my fav❤your channel

I strongly prefer the Celine 16 too. I love the Fendi Peekaboo but I think you made the right call. Shearling just isn't practical for wet climates. Good decisions, Steph. ❣️🌻

I have to slow my roll every time I see a bag with a divider in the middle, especially if the bag is on the smaller side. No matter how much I love the bag, those compartments need to be large enough to fit my necessities.

This is something I have to keep in mind too! I often don't realize until after I start using a bag that those darn dividers take up a lot of space

I walked away from Hermes Picotin 18 in bright pink with pink chrome hardware. It was definitely a collector’s piece, and I could’ve easily resold that bag buuut I just wanted a bag that I could use first before even considering reselling. I felt bad realizing that I lost the opportunity to resell it, but came to terms with it because that’s not my main reason why I would buy a bag. I want to enjoy the bag and actually use it. I have a Fendi mini peekaboo. I purchased it from the boutique and I would get another in a heartbeat (in the right colour/leather combo). I think the selleria versions are more durable than the lambskin (I have the black lambskin) but I just love the design. I don’t care about resale value because I never buy a bag with an intention to resell. Additionally, I am all for bags with compartments to help keep my items organised so the middle divider doesn’t bother me at all. I would like to add a small Celine 16 into my collection but the current limited colour offerings a holding me back from getting one.

Hi Steph! Loved this vlog! The mini shearling Peekaboo in chocolate brown is sooo adorable! It looked great on you! 🤎 One of the most beautiful Peekaboo bags I have ever seen is Dayle’s from Dayle’s Addiction, in a soft purple colorway with tortoise shell hardware. It is a divine! 💜 The LV Side Trunk is similarly shaped to my Loewe Puzzle bag which also has that lovely slouch. It is a buttery soft calfskin and you get a full leather bag rather than coated canvas. I do love the Dior 95.22 bag in the small size. It is gorgeous but expensive. I wish there were more color options. Btw, your highlights in your hair look fabulous! Love them! 🙌🏼

Yes the mini shearling was very cute, I'd just hate to not give it the use it would deserve in our UK climate where it rains all the damn time (so it feels like at the minute). Great video - I've been on the fence about the Celine Triomphe, it is SO nice looking but reviews on the leather wear has been off putting - how has the leather on your Celine bag held? Beautiful bag :-)

I have tried on the Dior Saddle Bag a few times but as a lefty, I feel like the shape doesn’t work on the left side of the body. The “D” ends up backwards and the tall side ends up in the front, with the narrowing end in the back. As much as I love the bag, I think it looks best as a shoulder or handheld so I can’t get past how it looks backwards on me.

I have always wanted a MM Neverfull but the strap drop is just too short to fit comfortably under my shoulder with a coat on. I have the Side Trunk BB in monogram and love it!!

Hi, I do wonder why so many influencers talking about reselling value all the time? Are you buying your bags to resell or to enjoy? ! I myself buy things generally only to enjoy! Buy classics that keep their fashion value for years! Just my humble opinion ♥️♥️♥️

I don’t buy to resell, hence why my collection is slightly out of control right now 😄 but making any investment potentially into the thousands for a piece, it’s nice to know if that thing is likely to hold value well. This is why Hermes is doing so well. I don’t think there is anything wrong with considering this - i bought my Celine 16 knowing the value would plummet if I decided to ever sell but I wanted the piece and went for it knowing that and it wouldn’t bother me.

@@Handbagholic thank you for sharing your experience with us, I agree. I do myself own a dozen of designer handbags, I can tell you that almost all of them have hold their value in some way. The Hermes is a joke, in order to get one you have to play the Hermes journey game ( which I found ridiculous ) then maybe they will offer you a bag. So in other words you have to spend at least 30.000 hard earned money to only and maybe be offered a bag. We make things valuable, it’s a huge hype at the moment around bags, I do have a strong feeling about that this trend is soon going to change 😊🌹🌹🌹

fabulous video and I agree with your choices. I have the Jackie bag in black and it gorgeous but I dont wear it for the same reason you stated , but I was so influenced by your recommendation that last week hubby bought me the small Celine 16 in black for Valentines day from Selfridges. Its beautiful . Try the Celine perfumes too- they're gorgeous. Also I love your necklace. I have one similar. Did you get it from Jenny jones in Manchester?

Q; Tell me in comments what designer bags you have walked away from? À: All of them. Well, mostly. Because they are overpriced and keeping us all broke! No judgement, and yes of course I love Chanel, Hermes, etc. But can I REALLY afford that? Yes, but… Not really. I mean it depends on the bag. But there are so many lesser known well made bags that are just as good or better than 99% of designers. Plus I do think generally speaking that ‘quiet luxury’ is really more elegant most of the time. (BTW, quiet luxury may be a trend now, however it has been happening for a long long time.) Again, no judgment - to each his own! Buy what makes you happy… just as long as it fits with your lifestyle and finances. I have wrestled with myself over this as our income grew and now realize I’m not sure I really want to spend it that way.

I think, prices will come down bec of economy crisis, lots of asian well to do are getting bankrupt, they may consider to sell their bag collections. So I would prefer to buy pre-loved, hahaha, for us frugal people.
