Ap is better if your goal is to be the main damage dealer but it's volatile as is the case with other assassins. Ad is the way to go if you want to play to win the game with a clear plan, which is split pushing. It's also easier to lane with it because it's simpler. Even when you miss your skillshots, you're still relevant. You're like an ADC Bruiser that has mobility.

Ad really is better but most players don't have the mechanics that are required to make it better. That's kind of the disconnect, Bobby has the skill that makes it better, but by itself ad is probably worse for most players

AD is way more fun to watch too, there aren't as many outplay opportunities with AP because you're so squishy.

you clearly havent seen his ad games.... where he literally can win a game solo just by pushing, gets 20 kills, and isnt worthless if he misses one chain. having a game where you play well on an inferior build doesnt mean the build is somehow better, it means you performed well. i can have a 13 kill game on AP jhin, doesnt mean its actually BETTER than AD jhin. Plain and simple, AP leblanc is entirely dependent on: 1 landing all your shit, 2 being ahead because shes garbage from behind, and 3 the game not lasting more than 20 or 25 minutes because she doesnt scale. If all 3 things dont line up then AD will always be better, because its more consistent and scales better the longer the game goes, and even if you miss some skillshots you can still do damage instead of sitting there watching your team fight without you while you wait for long ass cooldowns

Bro why u complain about ap? I dont see anything wrong with it. So you prefer to do 15 auto attacks in a fight and your abilities to deal 0 damage instead of your AA to deal 0 damage but your abilities to 1 shot? I dont get it

It think Bob mentioned the actual reason once in some video I don't sure which one: for ap build, W cannot be used as an actual mobility skill because if you miss E, you will deal zero dmg without using W as a dmg skill while for ad lb, even if you miss E, you can still AA and use W as an actual mobility skill

Same reason why some people prefer adc champs over mages. Instead of relying on landing skill shots to do dmg, they just aa.
