Late reply for me. The best I can say is that you have to be really patient with that spirit and use the tall dark plants to your advantage and hide. Best way to get it is solo so you're not interrupted. But if you're with people, sometimes they can take turns to distract the krills, also a very good deterrent :)

Happened so many times to me I thought of quitting waayyy back in TLP cause all my friends stoppedplaying sky "I think i quit" then i ended up finding another friend group. And that friend group becomes inactive since most of them quit sky "I think I quit for real this time" NO i somehow find another friend group AND THE SAME THING HAPPENDS excpt this ttime It was me who left cause one of them was really toxic to me ( the group died a month later ). "i think i quit for real this time no take ba-" NO I FOUND ANOTHER ONE RECENTLY. And its probably the best one so far, so im happy that I dont have to play sky alone anymore

I'm a vet in this game, i played sky for 3 years and still playing..i started as a very solo player, and now after long time i have found several friends, and a very special person that now it's part of my life. Having experienced both ways, i have to say that there are still problems that they never fixed from the very beginning, like server split, really never fixed from 7/4/2020, and now as now this game is bugged as hell 😂😂😂 i also finished all the constellations, i have all the ts and cosmetics, but I'm not able to leave..i think the reason that make me stay it's that you can enjoy this game as you prefer, and you can meet different people everyday, like a new adventure everytime..yes, mostly i meet people that are younger than me, but if you can go beyond bugs etc, i think it's really entertaining. From a point of view of a Totally new player i think would be less enjoying because price are increased, and many people need a help to understand how this game works, plus toxic people are increased..maybe the worst thing at all. I will still stay, yes i play only on night now because i met my friends in that hour, but i still love this game much.

Honestly the problem with these games are always the fact that it’s aging. The devs don’t have new ideas, the gameplay is repetitive, so games are bound to get boring. I feel like it’s better to quit after a long time and find a new game, because your holding on to a dying person. All of these games can be a masterpiece, but time is precious. You can seek dangerous hobbies, like krill 😊taming, crab flipping, but you always have the choice to move on…

I'm a passage moth, so I joined pretty late. But I'm glad vets like you still exist in the game, because without them, I would've quit the game even before finishing Eden. The first time I went to Eden in the no turning back zone, two vets would keep rushing back to me and honk at me, whenever I got hit by the rocks. I never saw them again, but I am very thankful that they went out of their way to help.

To be fair, the game gets exhausting and boring very fast if you aren't pursuing some specific cosmetics. Besides of that, it's more of flying around, vibing with random people, grabbing some emotes, nothing too fancy. I don't know, the game feels very empty and boring sometimes. I stopped playing for several months after aurora season ended and just came back now for the days of rainbows, probably will stop afterwards again and come back when something interesting happens~

Sky is no means a perfect game. It never was. But what it does have is a sense of calm, stress-free experience that allows me to relax and explore. If I want to be social, I have that option. If I want to be alone, I can be. Everyone goes through their own experiences with Sky; some will like it, other might not. Some can see past the issues and glitches, but others would be turned away from it. I do agree, Sky can be dead slow at times. We’re in a season that has little to do in between sessions, but Sky isn’t meant to be played for hours at a time if you’re not using the down time to go for a CR. There are events to look forward to, and may players just stop playing because it gets too boring, but if everybody keeps leaving, they’ll likely miss out on a TS that has the cosmetics they want, or miss an event they’ll have to wait next year for to get. That, or they’ll not have enough candles to get these cosmetics. The down time allows players the opportunity to collect more candles, but they can also make new friends along the way, if happens. I’ve run into friends that were losing wing lights that I helped save, and we’ve been friends for over a year now, so you never know when a good friend will come around. Sure, it will hurt when some of them move on, and it’s their decision, just like it’s yours to do so too if you want. It’s ok to take a break every so often if you’re not getting what you want out of Sky, but at least keep yourself up to date for future events that will likely get bigger, new features that will be added, new places to explore and things to do as time goes on, unless you’re officially done with Sky.

thats the thing, we have to grind for candle bc items are expensive. we replay levels until its boring or tedious😭 not only that tgc makes popular items purposely p2w, i was mostly upset about the hijab and abaya which are cultural/religious clothes that got pass locked🥲

It's a hard lesson in Sky: people leave. Even your friends. The good news is that there are thousands of other people playing, and you never know if the next person you light might not become your new best friend. You have to keep taking a chance on people. As to the AFK players, life happens and you have to step away for a bit -- or you fall asleep playing. As long as they don't hinder my game play, it's fine. If they go afk at the 8 player door, we have issues. As to TGC not fixing the bugs, we'll, it's part of Sky. I completely agree about the repetitive quests, but it's supposed to be a laid back game. It's not everyone's cup of tea.

I actually stopped playing Sky for a while because I was lonely and didn't have friends to play with, but Sky, Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley are my comfort games (in that order) whenever I'm feeling depressed, so despite the lonely feeling and not to mention the constant grinding and never having enough hearts or candles for anything, and I don't have a group of people to heart trade with, the atmosphere and music of sky is comforting and constantly brings me back especially when I'm feeling under the weather

I totally understand why you're leaving but for me some of those reasons you mentioned are what keeping me stay lol. I love those funny glitches. I am still playing for almost 4 years now because it is stale and repetitive, i don't like competitive fast paced games, sky is the complete opposite and i love that, i can just relax and go at a slow pace. The freinds part, well i get it. At first i had a group of friends that now they dont play anymore, but i have a new group of friends now, i meet a lot of people there. I'm not the kind of person that gets sad if somebody leaves, on the contrary i enjoy being a constant in gamr and seeing people come and go, having a chance to be part of their journey as a friend, until they find another calling.. but yea anyways, nice vid lol, the spooky part at the beginning was funny 😂

I totally understand why you would want to stop playing sky and it's obviously okay if you don't enjoy it as much anymore. About the pacing of the game, I actually really like that there are cutscenes and stuff like that because I play it because it is so calm and helps me relax, I also like to go on candle runs. Although sometimes I take small breaks because it can get a bit exhausting at times. Also I don't care that nobody asked, I'm still sharing my opinion.

I feel the same nowadays… some friends left the game, alone grinding is hard, last season was weak… the IAP are crazy high… sometimes I just came back because I got a Photoshot Idea. At the moment, I collect the season candles and a little bit more normal candles and thats it for now and this takes a few minutes. But also I have to say, I am a afk bot too sometimes but I light the other persons candle and bow and fly away.,, and sometimes I don’t have the time for other persons

Played since the end of season of belonging. It is a severe love/hate relationship. I love the aesthetics, gameplay, lore, seasons, events and friends etc. But I hate the daily 2-3hour CR's to be able to invest in anything and the anxiety when the game wants to poop itself turning this CR into a 5 hour job. I understand the slow grind but I wonder many times if the expectations are a bit too cruel

I stopped playing bc I wasted $25 for a season pass and I didn’t know I had to work my way up for the item I wanted instead of getting it as soon as I get the season pass and I’m a noob and I just wanted to fit in and look cool so I waited til the end of the season like 9 days so I can do it but I didn’t have enough orange candles and I was so mad I started crying 😭

Я не играл где-то около года, после того как мне с моим другом ( которым мы начали играть мотыльками во время сезона скаутов ) она немного наскучила и полностью ушел я перед концертом Aurora. ( сейчас жалею об этом это выглядело потрясающе ) Сейчас я вернулся в игру играю где-то две недели назад, чтобы накопить на кое-что. Но это в целом все! игра правда наскучивает, ибо я просто собираю свечи! Я очень надеюсь, что в будущем tgc сделает еще и продвижение игрового сюжета как основу! А не будет давить на деньги сезоны и вещи, так как это единственный смысл играть в sky - пополнение гардероба. И это очень расстраивает. Я был бы готов потратить уйму времени на изучение истории этого потрясающего мира. 😢 Но я могу сказать что нас с другом очень забавляли, некоторые баги и возможности лазать сквозь текстуры или какие-то зоны за текстурами это было забавно, но только если вы играете с друзьями. Но лаги это ужасная часть всего опыта игры, мой телефон жутко перегревается такое ощущение что он взорвется хаха. И пожалуй я хочу дождаться новую домашнюю зону, по крайней мере трейлер был интригующий.

There are toxic players in every game, but tbh I played sky for a few months now and I haven't really encountered any toxic player. So I would say compared to other game-communites, Sky is one of the least toxic ones I ever witnessed. Maybe I'm just lucky but that's how I expierienced the game so far.

I started playing early 2020/season of enchantment time. First year i was farming like mad, and was always the one who was up to date with everything. Last year i like stopped all conctact with the game and i felt great, no more stress about missing out on cosmetics or anything. I recommend it if u feel burnt out by this game, like take a year or a month or so off. Trust me it will do wonders. Revisited it recently, and it just made me realise how dogshit the paid content got in this game, and how expensive the free stuff actually got. I hate how much content they are pumping out, its as if it aint about the adventure aspect of it anymore or discovering new things, no its all about who can get what cosmetic the fastest along side some new nice areas that most people will completely ignore due to them farming out candels/cosmetics. Now im only playing it for the nostalgia and with my freinds, although i do play it rarely.

Came here to relate to everyone else. I stopped playing once Season of the Little Prince ended, but my decline was during season of adventure. Ive been playing since season of Sanctuary and its so repetitive now. All my friends and my sky family has quit. The amino we were all on, their accounts are gone. I tried to get back into it but it's just so dead to be candle running everyday alone, and irs so hard to socialize now. I loved helping moths but i rarely find them. Its so sad because sky was what got me thru covid times, and its been four years. I hope this feeling of loneliness in sky doesnt last much longer

Played this game since 2021 and have repeatedly un/reinstall this game because I'm a solo player, it was boring. Few days ago I tried to make friends with new players and I did and they stopped playing after a few days. Candle run at least 2-3 hours a day to hit at least 10 -15 candles a day and it felt like a job instead of a gameplay

I quit sky like 1.5 yrs ago, just checking how's sky doing then saw this video, seems like not much change. The reason I quit because this game lack of motive, like there no goal to grind except for outfits which we already have bunch in closet. And the lore of this game is so little and not connected one place to another. Can they at least show what the past stories of all those realms and make us return the realm to its glory day. In my opinion Sky is fun for 3 months or at least 3 Seasons Max then you will start to get burn out... after that it gets very repetitive. Then again aside from that. There are some hidden Dark side in the world of sky. ( like Visual Bugs I feel like they implemented it by their own. which is unfair a slap perhaps for those who buys their iap items ) I still play the game, but I hardly trust someone anymore lol everything has to be related in sky game only xD One more thing is. True friendship is rare in this game, temporary at least from my experience. GL all.

Been playing this for more than a month. The game is fun, to an extent, but the random merges and game crashes kind of kills the experience for me. What baffles me is, you do these easy but time consuming quests just to unlock a privilege to buy the item or reward behind that quest... Like what the fuck. And these cosmetics don't really come at cheap prices either, when you can only practically farm 15-18 of their currency per day and that in itself takes 1-2 hours if you don't get walled by the bugs. UI is something I could write another short essay for... It's really bad LMAO. But then again, the game is fun, flying and gliding around feels REALLY good, found new friends and the community is awesome.

But at the end of the day, it's up to each individual player to decide whether the positives outweigh the negatives. I’ve been playing Sky for quite a long time, then decided to take a break because of how much I was disappointed about the seasons that were coming and that they weren’t as good as Dreams or Prophecy. The cosmetics weren’t that great and season of Shattering made me quit for more time. Now I’ve came back (since about season of Aurora and spent 3 weeks understanding who she was even tho I heard some of her songs multiple times), but almost all of my friends are gone. It was barely IMPOSSIBLE to do friends quests, so I’ve made a secondary account that now can help me completing them. It’s so sad to see none of your friends online while other players fly together or do the daily quests. I wish that one day maybe some of them will come back, but for now I’m lonely.

well, if you do the same thing everyday, i get why it got boring, but if you do different things everyday? you can have fun, and might make new friends! When I get bored, cuz i suffered the no friends online problem for a while now, I try to find an OOB, (out of bounds) and attempt it! its fun and most of the time its not easy to get there. not forcing you to stay playing, but if you dig a little deeper, you can find friends, and meaning forwhy you still play.

Yeah, im gonna be real here, i quit last december and barely regret it. Sky has been the sole cause of my video game burnout and i literally cannot play a game for very long anymore because of it, cant even get excited about new stuff or games either. Its a good game....to finish all areas and then stop, maybe only get on to play new quests and areas (even tho i cannot stomach it) Its a game that probably should have been casual, it works for a casual game - but is forced to be a daily DAILY game. A monthly quest system would be so much better. The quest system they use is worse than a lot of scummy gacha games because there is really no quick tp to the exact spot, and some require waiting and friends. Especially when there is such a strict limit to get everything and prices are inflating Sorry for the mini rant but i still adore this game but i totally understand quitting. I had quite a lot of sunk cost fallacy before i quit but in the end you should do what makes you happy.

I also thinking for stop play sky cuz idk why but i miss old sky, my friends are busy usually event they busy they still afk at the sky now no one players is online cuz they only play at At certain times only. Sometimes i come to sky i saw many friends of mine, but right now nah mostly they dailies and off that's it, and also i give alot money to tgc i buy all their cosmetics but seriously it's keep more and more expensive and the sad is new players now days are rude. I feel like different generations here. I hope tgc fix about new sky player they thought all veterans are rich they Shameless asking if i drive you i give me 3 hearts. But when they join with me while im with my friends they got free ride but when i can't drive cuz im busy he ask for bring me but they ask for hearts
