It took me 10 years, but reached my stacking goals in 2021. It can be addictive, but you always need to make sure that everything else is taken care of as well. The way I saw it was that I paid myself first every month and then used the rest to pay my bills.

I appreciate the honesty. I am in the same boat. My greatest fear is that the can gets kicked down far enough to where I have to sell all I’ve accumulated all in Silver before it’s true price is realized. That won’t be an option to me. I rather starve than lose all I’ve worked for.

I hear you & I think we all experience that concern from time to time but... if it gets to the point where the can has been kicked too far down the road then silver & gold will go up. Another thing to consider is how easy it is to wonder if we have accumulated enough bullion but forgetting what it would be like if we chose never to start stacking in the first place. Personally, I have a keen eye for noticing trends & patterns, & seeing potential outcomes based on the current paths things head down. A way for banks to fail is if there was a run on the banks & with all the economic uncertainty combined with all the talking up of precious metals & crypto... I'm wondering if all that fear has herded people like sheep to withdraw their money out of banks & unintentionally lead towards the very thing they are concerned might happen? History repeats but never in the same way & when considering silver is more popular than 100yrs ago, if the government banned private ownership of bullion again, I see it doing so for gold & silver this time round, not just gold. Unallocated may serve as a way around any banning of Gold ownership. Another thing I have considered is the government transitioning 100% to cashless before a crash, or, due to history repeating but not in the same way, the transition to cashless is the crash of our generation except it is presented in a way as to not look at a crash. Regardless, if the world goes cashless it may lower gold & silver, & unlike many who are only focussed on the idea they lost money due to spending so much when it cost more prior to going cashless, it won't stop me from continuing to exchange currency for (bullion) real money because gold & silver will always hold value. Apologies for the long response but it is all about attitude & perspective. The only thing I know for certain is spot price & markets only matter in the moment of buying or selling. Speculation between buying & selling is pointless in my opinion. It is like speculating what the weather will be like next week when the reality is it doesn't matter until the morning you are going to leave your house.

Necessary video. We are building our retirement home right now. We bought the land 3 years ago, 10 acres. Its an all cash build. I sold 80% of my stack to help fund it so far. The building is up, and working on rough electic and plumbing soon. I cant wait to get rid of this mortgage. I will make a decent profit though. No credit card debt.

If you aren't in a position to stack right now, it doesn't mean that you are stopping forever. You understand how metals work, the pluses and minuses. There will be opportunities, and you will recognize them when the time is right.

You either rent or buy - the money goes somewhere. I bought my first home when I was 48. Renting makes it easier to change jobs if you have to. I did a 15 year mortgage and paid it off in ten by working hard and extra hours. Do a 15 year rather than 30 year if you can make the payment, and never do an adjustable mortgage. I live in CA, have 4 kids, drive older cars and am the only wage earner. It is possible! Those are my thoughts.

I got into PM's around 2007 after P. Schiff, J. Turk, and J. Rubino tricked me into thinking there was an imminent hyperinflation starting. A few years later I realized I'd been duped by these PM salesmen who use falsehoods, disinfo and fear to sell their products. I still believe you should have a small amount of metals in case of a currency crisis, but you don't need to fill your bathtub with coins. Knowing what I do now, I would advise everyone to have at least $3k in long term food storage, candles, and common DC batteries before acquiring any metals.

What nobody tells you is that silver is no longer a monetary metal except in the memory of an ever shrinking part of the population. Rich people and central banks only stack one thing: gold. They don't bother with cheap, heavy bulky industrial metals like silver. I would add small, if i were like a ten ounce bar every other month. Hero bullion will give you an okay deal. Then you will be adding another 60 ounces to your stack a year so maintain forward progress on your long term savings unless silver explodes over 30 a ounce and stays there for more than two months.

Good thoughts! I thought Ag would have gone way higher after the initial rise in 2011. The Gov is pretty good at keeping this ponzi system going much longer than we thought it could. Doesn’t make sense but it is what it is. Thankfully I’ve never had to sell any PMs but this inflation is tough. 6-figure income isn’t what it used to be either. Especially if you live in SoCal. Ive had to cut back on my silver purchases and ive switched to fractional gold. Im adding 1/4 oz gold and not so much the silver lately because im feeling the pressure of inflation. Food, gas, cost of living keeps going up. I have 8 gardens that im tending this year trying to cut out as much of a grocery bill as possible. My niece and her twins have moved in with me because they got nowhere else to go plus i have my elderly mother living with me as well as my two young children. Im carrying a lot of wait and its really putting the pressure on me as its all on my income which is farming. The only thing thats getting me bye is the fact i have no debt and own my farms and home and its still hard times. I cant not help my mother and my niece has no one to turn to and her twins which are 3 months old. Ive got cattle and hogs on top of the gardens. Ive really cut back on stacking especially silver. Im a capital based operation so i have to maintain operating costs. If i had debt id be belly up. I have God in my life and im drawing strength from Him but im starting to get concerned about the future. Sometimes we find ourselves in situations we didnt create and having to help family. We need God in our lives more now than ever. I think a lot of us are feeling the pressure and the strain. I know i am and i know im really putting the hours in to make ends meet. I have 50k of student debt and you're damn right about feeling like slavery. This shit is always on the back of my mind nagging at me to pay it off. When they paused the payments I had two options buy gold and silver or pay off the debt. I chose the gold and silver route and stacked as much as I could and i'm happy with where i am in my stack. I still have the nagging debt on my neck but if life really takes a turn for the worst I at least have my stack to sell if need be.

I never understood why people take on so much student debt. That, to me, is living beyond your means. When I was a student, I was broke too, but I went to a state school, lived at home, had a job and scholarships, I never took out a loan.

@@lamarravery4094 I went to the cheapest community college and state school in my state, I did not live on campus and I was working full time. I did all sorts of schemes to keep the cost as low as possible. Sometimes taking lump sums and prepaying while I was still in school other times I would reduce the amount of classes so I wouldn’t increase it. I was fully conscious and always watching my debt climb. I managed to at least keep it within 50k but it would have been worse if I neglected it.

Whatever you have in any safe deposit box, in any bank or credit union will, in no uncertain terms, be seized and confiscated by the government in the guise of saving the United States by bail-ins. Moreover, once one signs any bank signature card it is, in legal terms, an adhesion contract to the entire Federal Reserve System. In essence, your signature on their signature adhesion contract is your agreement that "anything" you deposit becomes the property of the bank/Federal Reserve. The same thing applies to a safe deposit box. Oh yeah, FDIC insured is a scam.

@@LarryBird2233 I actually just bought a huge amount of 999 fine....I was alerted to the new "Dead men tell no tales" silver round from Pinehurst Coins and I thought it can't lose, so I ordered 500 of them on Wednesday. The thing is I have first choice at an estate of 90%...the guy is a co-worker and a friend and his father in-law died 6 years ago and we were talking stuff and coins/silver came up...turns out he is in charge of this HUGE collection which I have seen about 1% of...its huge. I get first crack at what I want, so I can get it at "coin shop" buy prices. For instance, 1964 JFK's and Franklins, $8.50 each!!! I don't have enough money, but may take out a loan. I need about $10,000 or so to get the stuff I want. Hundreds of silver dollars for $20 each.

I stopped last month...I love my condo rental...it's affordable, safe and I have great neighbors. The landlord pays for everything. I'm able to have investments/savings and I've been blessed! I used to be a homeowner and it was a lot of upkeep and expense that was very stressful. Sometimes we ask for something, we get it and then we see it for what it is truly worth!

I'm guessing you're still young enough to see it appreciate over the next 20 years! You may also have to lower your monthly PM budget, until your mortgage is paid off.

It is frustrating that I too must put the breaks on stacking. My job just got restructured and I got dropped two pay grades. But what really irks me, is that my stacking efforts have not provided any sort of cushion. It has not been s store of wealth. At best, I am even, if not sitting on actual losses. On a spiritual side I can see your point. But I'm an old school pagan man in the UK, these metals have served our ancestors, kept them fed and have had this mystical grip on humans for ages. There's a connection there. Sometimes this connection becomes an attachment. History has been build around these metals. Very sacred but very possessive

Got myself a better job and increasing my income glad I went back to school but we still rent but we’ve bought 2 acres outright. No debt but one income family of 4 housing is out of reach rent just went up another 100 to 1200. Every time I move up someone is taking more money from me. Trying to save enough to build a cabin on our 2 acres.

Grow food more.. sell vegetables or wheat berries for gold or sliver lol
