I completely understand why you needed to take a break. The unexpected enchantress is truly a masterpiece and I hope you know that 😃 and even if you have to take some time off, I do really hope it can continue, and that you can find a way to restore your passion in making it. Even if it does take a little longer to get the next episode.

Hey, it's completely normal to lose passion for something so hard as a comic. It's an entire world you're creating all by yourself, of course you'll burn out. I hope that if you let yourself enjoy art without deadlines and other necessary comic restrictions, you might rekindle the joy you once had. (BTW you did inspire me to start my comic after all :D I started illustrating one web novel I quite like, as a fan-comic I guess. It's super fun, and the creator of the novel liked it enough to put the link in their work description, yay) Hope you get better soon!

I just stumbled upon this video, (i'm planning on checking out ur webtoon after i finish this comment!!) and I just wanna say that everyone needs and deserves breaks! You talked about how you were suddenly unhappy with your art style (which i totally understand, and it might not be much but I want u to know that personally I think it's beautiful!!) and that reminded me of something that this art youtuber person say (i dont remember their name tho 😕) anyways she said something along the lines of "Your skills and eyes develop differently, one day you might see that you hate your art style, because your eyes' "skills" have grown, but your hands havent" Anyways I'm gonna go check out your webtoon now, hope that made sense lol Have a great day! ~Thea

Hi Thea! Thank you for this lovely comment. I really appreciate you sharing this information with me! What that KZbinr said is actually SO true and I never thought of it that way!! (How wise!!) That’s most likely what has happened with me, because I know what I want my art to look like but it’s just not turning out the way I want it to. I feel like artists experience this literally ALL the time, but it was super severe this time around. I couldn’t quite explain what it was that made me feel this way, so thanks for that!! I’m kinda in the same boat, but I’m having more fun starting my first Webtoon. I love the unexpected enchantress. I completely understand, I really hope you become passionate about your story and art again. Your artstyle is beautiful and unique. As the years go on it will get better. ❤ Sorry if this sounds rude but I really love your videos, I’m currently starting my own comic, and watching your content motivates me. I really hope you don’t stop but if that’s what you feel is best for you then you should do it! Maybe this will be a stepping stone for you in gaining more experience and discovering your artistic style, even though I really love your art!

Thank you so much for sharing your experience on Webtoon. I can understand where your coming from because I also did some art work in the past and it didn't turn out so great I would rethink on what my characters would look like before I start designing my characters. Take my character Zonku Takahashi from Crusade Spirit for example he looks like a chibi and I would have to redesign him a little better. I haven't posted a video in quite a while but I'm working on a new video coming soon talking about my Anime Project for Webtoon. Crusade Spirit is a story that I'm passionate about and I'm confident too share my story including new characters. I hope your doing well and stay safe ^^

Perfectionism is a problem a lot of creatives struggle with. I keep getting this feeling with a novel I'm set to release. Maybe I'm waiting too long to get all of the chapters properly looked at by a beta reader. But Arnold Schwarzenegger put it best in his emails - aim for progress, not perfection. A good rule of thumb is that you're satisfied with 80% of it, it's likely good enough. 80% beats zero every time. I will subscribe and follow your progress.

@@duchessart It's part of a cyberpunk series. That one will be serialized on the web. I have other stories in it. Trying to get a short one published in the magazines.
