I was in the audience in Sydney when he said that and my jaw almost hit the floor. I couldn't believe he said that. I actually cried a little. Thanks for putting all my thoughts into a nice little 8 minute video. Larry's never been louder. Harry's either the worst boyfriend for slipping her award show for football, or the best for wearing all the Louis stuff while doing it. Satellite is 100% about Louis and I've always thought it was him saying he's ready, let's do this. This tour is Louis' coming out party. It's the gayest thing I've ever done, and I'm queer so.... I think there is a real possibility that they will be together publicly after Louis finishes his tour on June 6th. They will both have had highly successful records and tours and they must be getting very tired of working out ways to avoid being photographed together - not a great way to live. I am sure that together they can come up with imaginative ways in which to keep their careers going in ways that suit them. Imagine joint concerts or acting together !

That ending is SO good - here in October 2024 and whilst I completely agreed with this, tragically Liam's death is going to throw all of this back up in the air. There are huge forces driving media narratives behind the scenes and we all know there are so many weird and troubling details about what happened with Liam... syco, diddy, the music industry is a mafia structure and I don't think it's just simple NDAs that have kept the guys closeted, it's about how and where the labels want to make money, who they want to control, extort, exploit. Personally I believe both of them are trying to create enough wealth, fame and infrastructure to be able to control their own narrative, publish their own music, perform at their own venues and disrupt the industry in a much bigger way eg. Harry investing in the Co-op arena in Manchester. Look at George Michael... when he came out he was destroyed and ultimately died completely broken hearted. Did you know that "Faith in the Future" is the title of a George Michael interview that he gave in the late 90s about his coming out process and how hard it had been for him but that he hoped the mindset and cultural shift would make it easier for him to focus on his music and for people to love him as the artist he really was.... sadly that didn't quite happen.

This would be amazing and I’m here for it! I don’t think it will happen. If they ever come out, I think it’ll be motivated more by Louis. It seems like Louis is more in touch with fans and more willing to go the extra mile to show Larry. It could be contracts or personal preference but Harry is typically more reserved with Larry references. You have to be in the know to get a lot of Harry’s signs. He does Louis blue fairly often and he did wear the umbro shirt, but Louis has been LOUD lately. Harry also seems to be way more protective of his privacy. Or less willing to give up any space around himself to the public. Louis will jump on Twitter or post selfies/cryptic lake shots on social. Harry never seems to do that stuff anymore. I don’t blame him, it’s an observation on their behaviors over the last few years. The reasons I don’t think they’ll come out in 25-26 (trust me I want nothing more) are: contracts and privacy. The music industry is a sick place and to me it seems more likely than not that their NDAs will last multiple decades. It’s more common than not for a musician who appears to have been closeted or who was straight presenting who later came out as gay, came out decades after their initial fame. That doesn’t mean it has to stay that way but Larry happened in the early days of social media and when it was still considered “brave” to come out. Considering their success on xfactor before they signed their first contracts as a band it was a pretty safe bet they were going to be huge. Not to forget, other X factor contestants have spoke out about how abusive and restrictive those contracts were coming from the show. We’re not talking about an unknown group who got their break the old fashioned way. These contracts are no joke. They may never be permitted to come out based on the NDA, some never expire. Citing what I said before about Harry, it seems like it may already be too late for them to have interest in coming out even after the contracts end. They are grown men who are not known for public exposure (perhaps BECAUSE they’re closeted) but even still, people tend to become more reserved and content with age. The teenage, early 20’s fire to right a wrong or show the world their truth may have changed over the years into contentment with their lives and no longer feeling a need to show the world who they are in private. Harry has talked about in interviews how he doesn’t care to be around people he doesn’t love. He’d rather be alone and not out and about. Or something to that effect. He’s spoken about how he’s not 19 anymore and that he’s had to claw back some space around himself. I think that if they come out it’ll likely be much later in their careers 20+ years from now. Or if it’s sooner (assuming contracts allow), I think - like with the nail polish and dresses - it’ll be because Lou is reminding Harry that it matters to them and to the fans who have always supported them to live authentically on all levels. Not that they would do it for us but maybe as a way to say the music industry didn’t win. Coming out will have an impact on their careers and privacy for a while so it’s likely not something they’ll do carelessly.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I see a lot of sense in it. I also think they might never come out, but just keep their lives private, for a lot of reasons like you said lifelong NDAs, growing older (not wanting to expose their personal life) and also after all the denials, stunts etc it can still make them look a bit bad, cause they had to lie, to pretend (even if they were closeted by management) and never had the strength to fight it back, to go to the court, try to change the industry. Believe me, I totally want them to come out. I will support them no matter what! Even if they decide not to come out or they are not together anymore or if they are straight (which I find highly unlikely😅)

You make very good points here. I think you're right insofar as the immediate future, and when and if they decide to go public, I expect it to be very low key. I would say if fans are lucky there's at least another 5 to 10 years ahead before they are "out", if at all . . . And by then, not too many people are going to notice because the media will give it minimal attention. It just won't be a thing anymore. Like you, of course, I'll celebrate 💯 % if I'm wrong!

I don’t think that H&L are closeted if most everyone at this point recognizes that they’re together, but I don’t think they’ll hard launch their relationship in any public way anytime soon. For two main reasons: privacy and Harry’s Marvel Studios contract to play Eros. First, the guys grew up in a fishbowl and everything they do gets analyzed to this day, but both have expressed how much they value actual privacy. They have great personal boundaries between their daily life and the parasocial relationship with the public.. If they do a hard launch anytime soon, especially when HS is treated like some demigod with golden sperm, every single interview and article will be about Larry Stylinson instead of their creative work. If they wait ten or twenty more years for that Vogue cover, may be the public will stop fetishizing them as a crop of new hot men matures. And, also, Harry is supposed to play Eros. A studio is not allowed to demand a particular lifestyle or sexuality from their employees, but the contract may state that nothing can change about somebody’s reputation, meaning whatever the status quo right now has to remain because the films are marketed worldwide including in the countries where “advertising” homosexual relationships is illegal, etc. Like, this past year, Louis was mostly single, but Harry is the one publicly dating. Considering how gender fluid and possibly fruity the dude was on stage during LOT, it doesn’t make sense for Harry to be the one so aggressively linked to women only instead of “heterosexual” Louis. And a lot of people remain quiet after their NDAs expire because the uber famous and uber rich 1% are in an entirely different inbred society category. Unless H&L are planning to become social justice warriors instead of entertainers, what would be their motivation to burn bridges by airing their grievances outside of the therapist office? From a practical adult life perspective, it seems like they prefer the slow trickle of realizations more.

I strongly believe there's loads of evidence showing they've been in contact since the band ended. But for some reason I think they could've had a friendship narrative but dont want to. like in harys interview with zane lowe he was asked his favourite 1D moments and he talks about how "someone's mom" took their first ever photo together. It was Louis mom, he knew that, he has very good memeory. But he didnt say his name. Theyve been in the same areas minutes away for years during mutiple occasions and yet nothing. You're buying into a myth. Louis tours 9-10 months out of the year and is quite fit. With Harry and Louis, employ the same chef that 1D employed when they were touring. Her name is Sarah, and she's now touring with Niall. She posts plenty of pictures of the healthy options available to the crew. Harry has made it clear he smokes pot, drinks, and has used drugs. Louis has also bulked up over the year since he broke his elbow and arm, probably due to physical therapy and taking better care of himself. But even if didn't, assuming there's no way they couldn't be a couple because on the surface it appears Harry is the healthier one is nearsighted. Before my husband got covid, he ran marathons. He's in great shape. I'm carrying a bit of extra weight due to one of the meds I take, but I'm healthy as a horse otherwise. Does that mean we're not a good match?

I believe that they will come out next year (2025) cause they are being like SUPER LOUD rn especially with the iHeart music thing and when Harry didn’t attend Taylor’s huge event. I feel like syco would have made Louis sign the contract in 2020. Also if Harry and Louis come out at a concert and I’m not there I will die a bit but be happy that they came out.
