Patti from rxstarmom sent me to your channel. I, like you, have a husband who traveled to many countries across the world with his work to return home with beautiful jewelry for me. I throughly enjoyed your stories. Growing up and into adulthood I bit my nails. My mother tried everything to stop my habit even to the point of putting hot sauce on my fingers. She had beautiful nails and hands with long slim fingers. Even when her nails were clipped short they looked long when polished them because she had long nail beds. I have tiny nail beds. When Mother died in 1992 I decided to stop wearing acrylic nails and break my nail biting habit. I wanted to grow long nails to honor Mother. I did some research and found out about Biotin and how good it is for nails, hair, and skin. I bought a huge bottle of 10,000 mcg per capsule. I take one in the morning and one at bedtime. It took several months before I noticed a real difference....but then, WOW. I rarely break a nail and have to file them weekly to keep them the length I like. If I don't keep them filed they grow too long and clipping is murder. I have back problems and sitting for an hour at the salon is painful so I try to do my nails at home. I don't wear polish on my fingernails because I feel the chemicals weaken them. I only use polish on my toes for special occasions. My husband had paper thin nails that peeled and he now uses Biotin also. He says it makes his nails grow like weeds. I can attest to that because he never showed white before using Biotin. The best nail file I have found is the diamond one by Revlon. Dollar Tree has a three-pack duplicate but they wear out after a couple of uses. I buy them for my toes. One more thing: Biotin is one of the "B" Vitamins and doesn't build up in your body. Surplus washes out. Vitamin "A" is the one to be concerned about.

Nothing special in my book. But when I put on the press on nails. They look fabulous in my book. My mother and sisters all have beautiful nail beds. I missed out on that. What do you attribute that to? I've avoided the sun as much as possible since my early 20s when I got my first sunburn.

Trust me it's easy. I love them. I can put them on so fast these days. Took a few tries to match the fakes with the nails but you'll get it. It's really fun.

I loved this video. I am with you regarding having nice looking nails. I used to do the gel /acrylic nails but once I retired I decided to get my natural nails back. It took a long time but they finally started to grow, but like you they would start looking nice and then suddenly they would all split and break. I then started having gel polish manicures but they were tough on my nails. I have now found colour street nails. They are nail polish strips. I just love these! They last a couple of weeks and are easy to remove. Between uses I nourish my nails with vitamin e oil and so far nails are doing great. And they look wonderful with the mail strips.

I had acrylic nails for years until my manicurist became allergic to her products!! She had all of her clients go to natural nails & she showed us how & encouraged us through the process!! I use NailTek Strengthener & it works. I also use TIPS from qvc or hsn. It’s an oil you use every night AROUND the nail, not on it. These 2 products have let me have my natural nails & keep them at the length I love. I still get professional manicures about once a month. Give these products a try & save lots of time & money!! 😻

Yep, no problem. They really stick on great. If they get loose I simply squirt a tiny drop of glue beneath the nail and you’re good to go. 👍
