I'm strugling with the timing of the kombos so just for saving it From B2 setup 3:11 F2 kombo from b2 wakeup 3:47 F4 kombo from B2 wakeup (K F4 3 4 dash F1 2) Stand setup 10:38 (F4 K 3 DB3) and 11:03 down kombo 11:32 F2 kombo (F2 2 K DB3) 9:26 stand 2 full kombo ( 24K21,DF1,...) I struggle with the 34 34 F34 kombo timing so i Just use F34 F34 for this extension because os easier and almost the same damage... From the corner 11:47 corner combo F4K3 DF2 F34 242 DF2EX B2 11:59 corner 2nd hit F4K3 DB3 34 242 DF2EX B2 17:55 sektor combo extension 7:10 fatalblow kombo (DB4 EX, K , F34, FB) Great video man! When i first played mk1 i paired these 2 together first but Raiden and Jax was easier to use he helped Raiden get massive damage off every touch but i didnt realize the utility Sektor has and just how well he synergizes with Raiden. Thank you for sharing your knowledge now i can play in a way that will leave my opponent traumatized.

Damn, I’ve been using sektor with raiden just because I like sektor always have. But never thought to use him in this way, the missiles basically give you a giant window to hit confirm off combos that by now everyone knows how to defend against because raiden is slightly on the OP side, while jailing, or at least making full strings plus on block while making everyone except top tier players frantic or freeze up from pressure…I like this much more than Jax…

Yeah Raiden is DEFINITELY on the very strong side, and pairing him with Sektor just improves upon his already really good assets. I’ve personally never agreed with the Jax pick competitively, but that doesn’t mean he’s not good!

I’m struggling mostly with the timing of the rockets. I’m not used to ambush assists since I mainly used Raiden with Sub Zero and Frostwho don’t really have ambush assists. It’s a wild learning curve for me.

Raiden can basically get his 50% combos with just one bar and 2 kameos with sektor consider he does have long-short strings such as 2421-lightning single projectile and can combo into missle due to the fact that shocker comes later in a combo so you are avoiding damage scaling for the e beginning of the touch of death combos. (After patch as well lmao) His throw game becomes deadly with sektor since missle allows raiden to combo off his throw which gives 22% damage. His unreactable overhead and his low starters can now be viable as proper 50-50s now thanks to missle and can be unpredictable with missle as well so it’s just even more mind games

@@Da_Lotus I actually used him with Rain to cover his range/neutral issues. I would have kept it one bar but make Forward Helicopter not be usable for 10 seconds after it's used once. That way lower tiers can still use yltheir tools. As it is currently you can't Forward Throw, Breaker, Near Shield, use any other Kameo moves for 24 SECONDS! That's 1/3 the match.

You have to start it with Raiden! It goes: F4, standing kameo, 3, DB3. Then it will be an OS If only the DB3 hits though, the Sektor Missile will whiff however.

Hey Great vid but got a question for u... i play raiden n everytime I hit a down 1 n try to follow with 2,4,2 the first hit always get low profiled by their down 1..been tryin to figure out a fix for this or is it jus a thing we have to deal with as raiden? Since stand 2 or 2,4,2 both start with high attacks

So what you gotta do is just hit it faster, if you hit a high after a d1 connects it’ll jail no matter what if you’re quick enough. Meaning if they’re pressing buttons or if they’re neutral ducking it’ll beat out both options as long as you’re fast enough.

A true block string is something that is plus enough on block to guarantee something that the opponent has to block, as pressing a button will result in them getting hit. So you can do these in a sequence of being plus enough multiple times, which is called a “True block string”

oh that makes sense. similar to jailing. You can get good chip damage with this sektor strat. call him twice and then make your third string end with amped storm cell to be safe. raiden really has good kit. my only problem with him is that his mid is very bad for whiff punish. his low works just better. his mid 18 frame and has very bad hitbox/hurtbox active frames. instead of you whiff punishing, you get clipped. i need to stop using that for whiff punish. f4 or 12 string better for that.@@Da_Lotus

Yeah his f4 can be better in certain situations just because it’s faster, however his f2 goes just that little bit further. So with that you can do things like back dash while you’re on plus frames, bait a d1 and get a full punish on whiff.

I appreciate the feedback! While I would say it is super strong I don’t think it is really busted for one reason, every single character in the game has it. I do think however that it is far too easy for the power that it has, but stuff like this does exist in every NRS title!

NRS should at the very least allow you to flawless block sektor to get your turn back. there is always busted stuff in NRS games but this is definitely some of the most braindead shit. I just recently made it to God rank and I swear these Raiden and Johnny players don't even understand basic neutral because they got carried so hard.
