I love this! As I’ve been sorting through my own thoughts and feelings about the significance of how I dress myself and show up on the world (rather than dismissing it as trivial or vanity or other dismissive terms), hearing this language about how fashion connects us to group/cultural identities and “fashion tribes” is really helpful. And bringing in the hero/heroine’s journey idea within that just sparks more curiosity for how I feel about my own fashion AND how I interpret the fashion of people around me. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and research.
