Why I want to quit Path Of Titans | Part 2

Posting this to clear up some confusion since there are a lot of repeat comments. First off, we’re not quitting Path of Titans and don’t plan to anytime soon. The title is just an inside joke we use with each other, so I thought it was fitting. The three of us love PvP, and it’s the main reason we play. Most of the time, we’re actively looking for fights. We’ve been playing POT since it first became available and have always felt confident, even against large Discord groups and mixpacks. However, the toxicity in the community has gotten a lot worse. Trash talk like “ezzz rex” or “L pachy” after dogpiling a solo player just wasn’t as common before. We even had people finding our discords and social medias to harass us. We’ve seen a lot of comments telling us to “just play X,” so here’s our perspective: •“Just play realism”: We do, and we enjoy it! But realism servers can feel overwhelming for some due to all the rules and profiles and taking breaks from it is important. •“Just play community”: We’ve had mostly negative experiences on community servers. Issues like admin abuse, biased reports, constant harassment from the same individuals, predators getting away with minimal consequences, care-bearing, and unbalanced mods/stat changes have made it less enjoyable for us. We also enjoy deathmatch servers for PvP practice without penalties, but even there, mixpacks, megapacks, and care-bearing can be a problem. Why official servers? Yes, we know playing on officials comes with risks, but it’s where we feel the most confident and have the most fun. In this case, Jay didn’t realize his duck was in crater and when he spawned he was immediately attacked. As friends, we came to help him, but the rescue didn’t go in our favor, and it ended with the entire server chasing us. It was just a case of wrong place, wrong time and we thought it was funny so we decided to share it with you all.

Since TyrannoTitan released the toxicity has further increased it seems. I have fully converted to playing on Crimson servers as of late because I am mostly a solo player. I get it. Officials suck and the last play session I had made me "want to quit" 😅

@@calebwoolery3764 I only recently started playing this game a week ago. Easy asf compared to every other game I've ever played. Anyway, tried Nat Hist, but that server seems to have the same issue as most community servers. Weirdly cliquey and childish chatters and so on. Dynasty Realism isn't all that bad, which is what I switched to after I had grown tired of Nat Hist. The issue with any of these community run servers is that they're typically employing under 25s as their admins/moderators, and that is never a good idea. There's a reason a person isn't taken seriously or given power before their frontal lobe has finished developing.

I agree with your frustration. But one of the keys to fighting is to coordinate together to take out a single target first, and not fight all at once separately.

The game is alot of fun when you chill in more abandoned area and actually get to play like a dino, searching for food and growth. Unfortunately, as soon as there's a player involved, it turns into a free for all battle royale, which is not what I signed up for.

Yeah I play like I’m in the Disney’s Dinosaur movie… I kinda was expecting that from a Dinosaur Simulator game but no it’s just a gang simulator. Not even cool like herding or raptor packs.

@undeadwerewolves9463 Same. I like to do a little roleplay type of thing, trying to survive in the rough world. Sometimes I also like to quest just to relax after a long day, too. And if it was just other players, I'd be all in. Unfortunately, these players don't like playing fair or sticking to realism(ish).

The thing is, it’s not the devs fault that this happens, it’s the community’s fault to always want to enjoy mixpavking. When the game was being made, the intention was to be realistic survival, not mix packing mauling

The devs are the ones responsible for making abilities and buffs that encourage mixpacking, they are openly encouraging this and they are as much to blame for this as are the players who enjoy this, their priorities have changed over the years and it has quite literally strayed away from the “realistic survival” aspect

I actually quit playing the game a good handful of months ago (I have 700 hours) and I don’t regret it. The community is incredibly hostile and a lot of the players have high school clique mentality. Its a great game, but the people are terrible

Not even the damn solo servers are safe, my meg and allo have been going through it fighting groups. Yesterday i had to fight 4 sarcs, a sucho, a really dumb lambeo, and a bby dasp. I killed all of em but 2 sarcs and the sucho. When i was just a juvi I was jumped and killed by 3 fg alberta's in hs. The worst jumping is probably when i was in ic as my allo and got jumped by 5+ dasps. They really need to moderate the solo servers or else its only gonna get worse

that's why these people get into big discord groups and mega/mixpacks to begin with. Lack of skill. Solo players, on average, are more skilled than the average child doing group play. 9 times out of 10. Solo players know what's up. Group players need to compensate for their lack of skill by teaming up. A tale as old as multiplayer gaming.

Rule 1- never waste your time on officials Rule 2- play realism servers like PT realism or Arazoa Rule 3- Read rule 1

A problem with rule 2. U need discord to get on most Realism servers and a lot of people arnt gonna get discord for a dinosaur game especially due to hackers and leakers

@Goji_uploads in these both servers everything too detailed. Someone cant get away with rulebreaking. Servers have hidden password in rules. You should connect your pot account to their dc server so they will know players in game. Sharing password causes immediate ban so random kids wont be able to join.

I personally don't mind mix packing if they have the same diet and are in reasonable sized groups but a lot of them seem to be in mega packs with carnivores, herbivores and they attempt to wipe out anything that exists in the same section of the map as them kind of makes playing the game a bit discouraging at times

This is why I don't play on Official servers anymore. At least if I play on a No Rules quick grow server, I can get right back to adult in 5 seconds, literally, and TP to one of the two main areas of the map for a few grips of marks to be right back in the mix of things.

Another thing about community servers is that they have mods. The amount of times I've seen 2-3 Argents wipe out IC clean of mixpack groups is amazing lol

Listen I agree with your frustration I do however, this is why I don't fight near LBM or any HC, the amount of people that HC swap or SOS to the point an entire discord groups gets on is insane and why I play solos. Not saying it don't happen there either but not as much.

Just don’t play everyday. Take breaks, enjoy other games, come back when there’s a new Dino or something exciting to distract you from the horrendous mixpacking. People play for different reasons, pvp, complete all dinos to adult, realism Etc. Maybe just re-evaluate why you are playing and maybe also if officials are the best place anymore for you to enjoy the game. If at all. The reason I don’t play community is because there are so many mods. It’s already enough for me to remember what the vanilla Dino’s do, how to counter etc. I just don’t have the time to learn how to fight like 50+ additional Dino’s (exaggeration cuz idk how many mods there are). Also the rules to me are just too ridiculous. I like to play how I want and needing to memorize however many rules, it’s not it for me. Good luck!

The initial fight in IC isn’t what we’re complaining about, it’s the fact that we had the entire roster of dinos chasing us across multiple POI’s as well as how toxic the game has become. I shouldn’t have to be restricted to small dinos and sit in some corner of the map to enjoy the game either. Groups like these will just switch to whatever they need to kill you, it doesn’t matter what dino you’re on. 🤷‍♀️

I should be able to play regular multiplayer without getting jumped by the whole server. Community servers are still bad, care bearing is insane on them and large groups are still an issue. Realism isn’t everyone’s cup of tea either and people don’t want to be restricted by millions of rules.

@ yeah your saying that but im 90% sure you’ve never tried. Yes care baring is always gonna be bad on anything, and secondly large groups arent that bad of an issue depending on what server. I suggest playing a server like sastrei island (i think) because it doesnt have as much rules as others. Or you could stick to officials, getting jumped and getting people to say “ez ez” to you everytime you die.

We’ve had to deal with many toxic admins who would abuse their power and get protected by their admin team when called out or reported. Not to mention there’s been lots of predators on community lately and it’s not a very safe place as of right now.

@ i mean nat hist is an incredibly good server even my brain dead friends dont get banned, but i guess if youve had bad experiences may as well switch. Ive been playing on the server for nearly two years and not a single corrupt admin. But yeah i respect your opinion

I mainly go for semi realism and servers like veloccis realm have rules that are easy to follow and aren't extremely complicated If you don't want a heavily ruled server, id recommend staying away from the ones with in-depth dino profiles

Why do people go on the official servers and then complain about how toxic official servers are?? they're ALWAYS going to be toxic and full of mixed packers because they aren't monitored and there are no rules. If you want less toxic servers, go on the community ones. Also why were you not grouped? y'all probably did more damage to each other than they did.
