‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:10‭-‬18‬ ‭Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless. ❤❤❤

Those just remind me of my grandpa’s workshop clogs. He said it was kinda a family tradition from Norway that his father and his father’s father used to use them when working in the shop. Except my grandpa would say he’d wear them so that when he dropped a tool on his foot it wouldn’t hurt. And so my grandma would know he was still downstairs in the shop😂sweet memories. My mom got his clogs when he passed away and I’ll still wear them when I’m in the shop as if my grandpa is still helping me build things.

@@therJrep stronger yes, but before cracking a clog you're probably dropping something like a drill press on your foot, also they protect the top of your feet not just the toes, also you can definitely step on a nail, while a cheap steel toe may not have sole protection, and finally while wood is less strong by size/weight, it's comparing 1/2 inch to 1/40th inch. Also most wooden clogs are compliant with safety regulations that require protective shoes.

there even ones for Dyke builders, since the stones used where so massive, the clogs got thicker so they could withstand about 600kg dropping on them, while normal clogs can take about 300kg. I believe they even have versions that where used by smugglers, where the footprint would be in reverse.

@andrebartels1690
@andrebartels1690 8 ай бұрын
@@ChainikB yes, heat resistant. Wood is less heat conductive than any other shoe making material of that time. It doesn't shrink like leather, it doesn't get soft and sticky like rubber. It simply smoulders away. Plus it's pretty easy to obtain, unlike rubber was at that time. Those shoes walk on broken glass with no intruding pieces, they will not get cut on sharp edges, they protect your toes from falling objects, they insulate against mild heat and mild cold like normal work boots or even better. They don't get damaged by fuel or lubricant, water won't seep in. They can be a bit slippery, so you might want to watch your step. And, of course, they're not suitable for running at all. My grand father told me, you could see them literally everywhere.

@@ChainikB no, that's not how wood burns. You get some charred stains, yes. But unless you put them in a bonfire, solid wooden shoes are actually harder to set on fire than you might think. Try for yourself, hold a lighter to an old wooden cooking spoon (or some other expendable wooden item of similar thickness) and let the flame lick on it for a minute. It will smoulder, but it will not burn. And the other side will get hot very slowly. Enough time to get rid of the heat source, and if necessary get rid of the shoe. And because there are no laces, they are pretty quick to kick off.

I'm Dutch 🇳🇱 and i like my clogs 😁 and I can verify that they are very comfortable on your feet. Clogs here are allowed as safety shoes and you've got them in al shapes and forms. You have the traditional all wooden clogs these were invented for farmers. The wooden top protects your feet when an animal steps on it they have excellent floatation properties as well you are less likely to sink in wet soil which we have a lot😅. You have got them as a sort of Crocs so you can step in more easily those are mostly made with a wooden sole and leather top. You also have ones with wool padding for the winter months steel tips and so forth. A other nice thing about clogs is that they are easy to personalize if you would like your's to be unique.🙃 And what he says about the even pressure on the foot is true if you wear them a lot your foot wil wear the wood in and wil fit your foot perfectly. One big tip for if you want to buy clogs buy them one size oversized so you can still put them on with thick socks for the winter and it makes it easier to step out of them😂😂

@@cat_city2009 yes if the direction allows it you can. In factory's it depends on what kind of work you do with heavy objects you will need the steel toe tip ones of course. On farms and light duty work like a building sites wooden clogs are allowed as safety shoes also your boss needs to allow it. The norm in the Netherlands is if there are no heavy objects that can fall everything is allowed to wear on light duty work like building sites, farms and such wooden clogs or steel tip shoes with classification S1 and S2. The heavy duty sites like steel processing plants and such you need to have shoes with classification S3 or higher. There are clogs with S3 steel toe tips so technically you can even wear clogs on the heavy duty work sites😁

Dr Scholl's are absolute garbage and a total rip off. I wear these "custom" insoles by Powerstep. Went to a store where they can map the pressure on your feet (kinda like Dr Scholl's but much more accurate) and they tell you the perfect insoles for your feet. Had back and foot pain since I was 9-10yo and I was in constant agony (my mom didn't take my complaints seriously until I was ~16 so it just kept getting worse). Then we went to that place, had my feet mapped, and I've been wearing Powerstep Pinnacle Plus Met insoles ever since and my feet have never felt better. At that store they cost $75 a pair. Found them on Amazon for like $35. The only other option was this one place that did the same thing but then told me they'd have to custom make basically the exact same insole and it was going to cost almost $400 a pair. My parents didn't want to spend that much money for my feet not to hurt (I also didn't think it was worth it tbf lol) so we just went the Dr Scholl's combined with other cut up insoles until we found that other place. I really hate Dr Scholl's now lol

@@NotMe-ej9yz I went to an orthotic doctor 13 times to have my insoles reshaped. Insoles are a scam period. Orthopedic insoles are an even bigger scam. Cost me 300 dollars for insoles I threw away in a pissed off rage because they hurt my feet more than before. I cant stand for more than 5 hours a day in one spot until my back and feet are in so much pain I want to drive into a tree on the way home. Too bad every job I could qualify for has you standing all day. Life is not fun.

I love my clogs. They are not like yours and they haven't been made specifically to me. But they are super comfortable. I wear them sometimes even when I dont have to. And they make everyone smile when I walk by cause they are like what the hell, then oh, just Selene. I never had clogs before. So still new to me and the people around me hearing them. I hope it stays that way.

We used to have felted wool winter boots from Finland. They were basically bent tubes- zero support of any kind, and they were totally not individualized. But in the snow, nothing was better. They were warm, my feet stayed perfectly dry, and they never caused a single blister. In summer, my mother wore wooden clogs all the time. Usually with a leather top, but they were great! It goes to show that sometimes what doesn’t look comfortable, is.

They are traditionally the woodworking shoe. You'd wear them kind of like we wear working boots today. They're not great for running but for walking around and especially standing there. Phenomenal. They would have been commonly found in gardening. You can occasionally find them on amazon if you want to get them in the US. Most of them are made in Holland, Michigan but there are a couple places online where you can order them from the Netherlands

Slick, oh yes, for a Dad joke, the delivery was very slick. And sneaky, very, very sneaky. 😂 Back in the 70s, clogs were a big thing. Sort of like the Crocks today. The trend didn't last long though. Not all of them were wood, or all wood, some had leather uppers. I have flat wide feet, so have difficulty getting a good fit. I loved my clogs. They might not have been custom made, but they were so comfy.
